They are rude and don't have any respect for their customers. I do not recommend going here!!! While I was eating the waitress came over and grabbed food THAT WAS ON MY PLATE and showed me how to eat correctly. It was completely unacceptable and disgusting to grab food off of someone's plate and rub your dirty hands on it!!! they also will yell at you saying "you waste" knowing that you are still eating!!! It is a nice place with a wide selection of food items. My family wanted to go there so we went on Sunday for dinner. A waitress named Ada came over and put her bare hands in our plates and started rummaging the food on our plates telling us we need to suck all meat off of crab legs and not just eat the main parts. Aside from being disgusting and inappropriate for anyone shoving their hands into your plate and start rummaging through your food, it is also a severe food safety violation and a complaint had been filed to the PDA of unsafe food handling. The waitress was combative and kept talking about how much crab legs cost per pound, and she went on and on and didn't even ask if we are okay to pay for anything they would consider as waste - she literally just dove into our plate, copping an attitude, and started picking at all the shells looking for any left over meat. We tried to be as courteous as possible given the circumstances despite being difficult to understand her broken English cover in her Chinese accent and yelling, so we brought her unacceptable behavior to the manager who goes by the name of August and informed him that a food safety violation has been reported to the PDA region 4 office and we will follow up with the food inspector and we highly advise him to retrain their wait staff on proper food hygiene at the very least, and proper American service etiquette on what is and is not appropriate business behavior at a food establishment. He did not apologize or feel anything was wrong with this situation which suggests he is okay with staff handling food with their dirty bare hands and digging into peoples plates. read more

Coming from the Boston MA area, there aren't too many places that can make authentic food like that, and the few places I've been living out here can't compare, until I ate at this establishment. We went for a late lunch and it was incredible! Absolutely satisfying for us. The service was great, the waitress was great also. Very clean with the positive vibe of culture. PPlease note that I can't comment on their sushi of Mongolian stir fry as I just stick to the hot section as well as their salad bar. We were road-tripping in the Clarion area and my husband had a hankering for Chinese buffet. We stopped by Sakura on Thursday evening at 8pm thinking we had an hour, but they were closing at 8:30pm. That's an odd close time, so we left and came back Friday evening. Friday was open until 9pm, but prices were higher, $17.99 per person. As a vegetarian, I usually can find a decent variety of food at a Chinese buffet. But not here. Several of the vegetable dishes that are usually vegetarian elsewhere included meat. The mushrooms had pork. The green beans had bacon. Several salads had meat included. It was very slim pickings here for a vegetarian. My husband will eat meat when we are out, and he was underwhelmed with the variety here overall too. Overpriced, foods not maintained entirely well (many were dried out and needed stirring or replacement), limited variety, and humdrum service. We will not return. read more

I don't usually like buffets, but this is an exception. The there were a huge number of choices, mostly Chinese but also sushi and a little American, all very tasty, hot, and not oily. The staff was constantly checking the food trays and also keeping the dining area very clean. I especially liked the crab and shrimp dishes, and the chicken was also high quality. The buffet is very extensive. Everything that you would imagine at a regular Japanese or Chinese buffet. The food was all very good. The service was fast. The place was very clean. I'm going to focus on the hibachi grill. It is set up as part of the buffet. You start at one end of the line and pick a plate and start picking out your raw veggies and noodles. Then you pick out your meat-steak,chicken, crab or shrimp. It's all self-serve take as much as you would like. Then you proceed to the hibachi grill. Hand over your food to the chef (he can cook about four meals at a time) and tell him how you would like it prepared. The whole thing will take probably around five minutes between waiting in line and the food being cooked. It really is fantastic. And totally worth the wait! read more

Visited the Sakura Buffet the weekend they opened. Very busy at that time (Sunday lunch) but wait was fairly short for eight of us. Server took our soft drink order and we headed to the buffet. Options included: basic choices you might find on any Chinese buffet and soups, salads, sushi bar, hibachi grill, steak, baked ham, ribs, frog legs, fried chicken, pizza, salmon, crab legs, and a full dessert bar. Food quality was very good and staff worked nonstop to keep the buffet stocked. Server cleared our plates and refilled our drinks as needed. A good value for a large variety of foods. Hmmm...dining options in Clarion, for a vegetarian, on a calendar holiday... There were not many, I mean hardly any, vegetarian options on the buffet. My saving grace here was the hibachi bar where you can pick your ingredients and sauce - I got lots of veggies and garlic sauce for my first plate. Added some sriracha, and called it dinner! Really not bad, at all. Second plate got pretty much the same thing, but with the ginger sauce. Less good. The place is weird. Or, I am weird. Buffets are weird? If you're used to quality Japanese food, don't bother coming here. The sushi is fair, but everything else is just mediocre at best. My hot tea was bitter, the pork egg rolls had a strange cinnamon-like flavor, and the actual JAPANESE food (seaweed salad, seafood salad, squid, etc) was very lackluster. It was all very Meh. I'm no connoisseur, but I was very unimpressed. Plus, for a buffet, it was very expensive at dinner time. If you're looking for good Chinese food, I'd recommend Hunan King. Sakura tries to take a stab at adding Chinese additions to their Japanese spread, but it misses the mark. I'm glad Clarion is trying to broaden their horizons, but this place just barely does so.
