This was our first time visiting here. We went for lunch on our anniversary. After reading reviews I was hoping to see all the different options they supposed to have. It was pretty standard. The only thing that seems extensive was the dessert bar. I did not get a chance to try the hibachi or the sushi. We asked for a table and they sat us right in front of the servers station. So not only did we have to listen to plates and cups clattering into bins but also the waitress stood in a group three of them talking loud in their language. The Curtains are all drawn and makes the restaurant rather dark. The place seemed pretty well kept clean. I did notice the plates were taken off the table pretty fast which is good. The price was pretty reasonable, we paid about 10 dollars per person with drinks give or take a little. I do look forward to going to try the dinner menu sometime. read more

My mom and I eat here at least 4 times a month, I love how the sushi bar is so fresh and amazing!! I can never get enough! By far one of the best places at a decent price, especially for the amount of sushi you can devour! I love the hibachi grill also! Mandatory 3 separate plates of hibachi. Every worker is so kind and generous to. They always are on their toes making sure the buffet is refilled with fresh, hot food! Keep up the good work!!! read more

The selection was broad especially for a small town with no competition nearby, but the food itself was disappointing. I tried just about everything available and did not go back for seconds of any item except the Crab and buttered shrimp. When my friend and I went to the hibachi and notified him that he was allergic to shrimp, requesting he rinse the utensils used to cook his food the request was ignored. Great food and service. However they changed my 5 dollar tip into a 35 dollar tip. I contacted my bank to reverse the difference and Sakura buffet fought it although I have PROOF i still have the receipt with the total plus tip on it. If you have an issue with liars and thieves then you should go somewhere else. If not then come on down to eat while you get robbed. I go to Asian buffets all over the US along my travels. They've all been more humble and honest than this one. Check your bank statements if you used your credit/ debit card. That's all i can say. read more

Sakura looks nice both outside and inside. Unfortunately the food was anything but spectacular, and we don't consider ourselves picky eaters. We arrived at 7:00 pm on a Sunday and there were only 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot. The hostess and waitress were both great. We were immediately seated and noticed only a few tables filled. The food choices were abundant and varied: but flavor was definitely lacking. They were refilling items with freshly made dishes, but the things that we had were very bland. The food looked better than it tasted. On a happy note, We did like the seafood soup and the string beans. I really wanted to like this restaurant but we will not stop again when traveling through the area. read more

This is my first post I have ever written on YELP. Yesterday me and some of the people I was with tried this buffet. How can people before me say it was good? The rice and noodles were very good. The hibachi station was great. The buffet was terrible. The pork spare ribs were hard, the chicken was not cooked well or it was over cooked and chewy. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't great: I was disappointed at this buffet. I will never go back here ever. read more

For Clarion, and this area, this is fairly good. The interior is clean and new. They have quite a variety of foods. They had probably 4 different kinds of mussels. There were several (four I believe) Japanese soups. They have sushi, which was not exceptional, but it was not bad... And probably the only place in the area with sushi honestly. They also have things like pizza and mac & cheese if Asian food is not your thing. To put it in perspective, if this were in Pittsburgh it would be meh, but around here, it would probably be my first choice for this type of food. read more

The food is worth the money!!! Clarion needed a new restaurant like Sakura! The hibachi grill is the best- all fresh food that you get to choose! They have noodles, sprouts, chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, mushrooms, broccoli, peas and much, much, much more. It is delicious! Bill who runs the grill is awesome and very good at what he does. There is also a cold salad bar with variety of different salads including seaweed and calamari salad. Fresh delicious sushi... Fresh! I would recommend this place to anyone! If your in town be sure to stop in- you won't regret it! read more

For an inexpensive Chinese buffet, this place is about as good as it gets. Great selection of better-than-average food is kept fresh, and the service is friendly. We stopped here to eat without knowing anything about the place. After a long drive it was nice to sit down and have a great meal. And that's exactly what it was. I'm shocked and pleasantly surprised how good everything was. From hot to cold to sweets. It was delicious. Nice job to workers and whoever is managing it. 11.99 for all you can eat. Amazing service with the place packed we were seated immediately and got our drinks within 1 minute. There is food for everyone there ranging from crayfish and octopus to pizza and wings. The hibachi was great all my food was perfectly cooked. There was fresh food all day long and the service was amazing. Only thing I can complain about is the wontons I live wontons but there's came out kinda flat. read more

Very extensive buffet, but the food is not good... The hibachi is fresh, but that is the only fresh food you will find... The stuff all sits under heat lamps until it is gone.. This place was good when it first opened, but they were always busy & turned food over quick. Now that the luxury has worn off, they are no busier than anyone else & they don't turn the food over. read more

Board at inside entrance advertises lunch price until 3:40l We were there at 3:30. When bill arrived we were charged for evening price. That is false advertising. When I asked the employee he stated they change the price at the time dinner food is put out. If you post 3:40 you should have to stick to it. He said they put the food out early. The "manager" (Summer) sent her waitress to our table multiple times to FORCE my husband to eat his first and only plate of food. It was not good, even though it was "fresh hibachi". The waitress then insisted he take a To-Go box and pay for it A SECOND time, even though it was his first and only plate of food. He declined the box saying the food did not taste good. The manager was staring us down from the front, and making him very uncomfortable. The manager came over to our table, uninvited, and began yelling at him in front of our son and other customers. Scolding him for not eating his plate of food, telling him that it was the same as always. He said he did not want the food, and seeing as he paid for it, she had no business forcing him to eat it. She followed us out all the way to the front making a scene after we had already paid. It was humiliating for my husband, a man of business, and our family. We take business there multiple times A DAY and have spent thousands at their establishment. Basically we go here all the time, I personally hate it, but my family likes the selection for the kids. We always mind our own business, and NEVER complain about ANYTHING, even though I am consistently disappointed and sick when I eat there. Having been in the service for 12 years, myself, I understand things are not always perfect, but the attitude of your staff, especially management, IS essential and non-negotiable. Needless to say, we will never be back, since the manager told us she did not care if we return, and felt the need to publicly humiliate my husband in front of our child and plenty of customers. Food is decent with nice atmosphere, but also typical selection of most Chinese buffets. The Sushi is actually quite good and made fresh but their Mongolian BBQ leaves much to be desired with only a small selection of ingredients and spices. While visiting to see my grandparents in the area, I was shocked by the amount of places closed on Christmas. Even Wal-Mart across the street was entirely deserted, and the gas station was barely pumping any business out. Pennsylvania felt like a ghost town. Sakura loomed over the valley of establishments losing money and business, packed to the brim with hungry Americans who were not cooking on the holiday. The decor was top notch and the buffet not lacking in options. My only complaint is a typical, inevitable one for buffets: the quality dims a little when the food has to sit out for as long as it does, particularly the seafood/sushi options. This is expected and justifiable, because you're paying for the quantity and less for the quality when you step foot into a restaurant with "buffet" in the name. Nothing was bad, however, and everything tasted either good or okay. What really impressed me was the waitress gave us a complimentary Chinese New Year calendar, which solidified how much we enjoyed Sakura. Merry Christmas, Pennsylvania. read more

Had PLENTY of choices so far as being a buffet restaurant. If you have a bottomless stomach or a pack of picky hungry kids and need to find a reasonably priced place where everyone could easily find something they like to eat in endless supply.....then this is the place to go. There is a little of EVERYTHING here....fried chicken, clams, pork bbq, egg rolls, beef and broc stir fry, fried everything, mac n cheese, desserts, hibachi, salad bar, sushi (though not so great), roasted meats, fruits, veggies.....you name it, seems like they got it.....even saw deep fried frog legs and crawdads. Though, not very much if any of the food seems to be made from scratch. As far as the sushi goes....NOT so great....actually sort of gross, you'd be better off to go somewhere else for that. read more
