This is an update to the reservation issues I had, again not a review for their food or dining service. I was contacted by the owner promptly, followed by contact from someone on the leadership team. They acknowledged the gaps in reservation process and confirmed space for our party. A reservation is the outcome I was looking for and appreciated their help. Issues will come up with all businesses, but their response to these is what separates a good business and Red Rabbit rose to the occasion. The reason for our reservation was out of town guests. Unfortunately, they can't get here now due to Tropical Storm Elsa so we are canceling. However, we will go to Red Rabbit the next time we make plans to go out. read more

I cant stop thinking about the pasta from Red Rabbit. I'm drooling just writing this. I've been here probably 4 times in the last 2 months. (LOL) Parking: Parking can be tricky. There is a lot to the left of the building however it gets full fast! There is free street parking though. Food: I always get the Cavatelli and my friend always gets the Shrimp Gatganelli. Both are sooooooo amazing! You cannot go wrong. The pasta is cooked to perfection! We also always get the Wood Grilled Wings and it is also so so good! It comes with a creamy parmesan dip and that is deliciously paired so well with the wings. Service: Service is ALWAYS so phenomenal! Always so attentive and kind. We had a party of 8 on a Saturday night. We called and asked if they took reservations. They said only of parties of 9 or more. Ok. When we arrived we were seated immediately. The server was friendly but seemed bashful. Not much knowledge of their bourbons, tap beers, bottles beers and wine. I've never been charged for olives in a martini but it was 1.00 on the bill. Weird! Do they charge for lemons and limes, or cherries? They may wanna disclose that info. read more

I just moved here and am trying to find good restaurants. Someone off of TikTok mentioned Red Rabbit and after looking at the menu, I thought it looked good. I went with my mom and bf and we agreed to order some different dishes and just kind of share everything. We ordered the chicken Parmesan- it's 2 giant breast of chicken and they are delicious. I ordered a side of rigatoni to go with it and the red sauce is delicious and had garlic in it. I'll definitely order this again. My bf ordered the bolognese and said it was the best and that he would order it again when we go back. Then we got a pepperoni pizza and the dough tastes nice and fresh. And we ordered the charcuterie board (large size)- the manchego is the best on the board. I ordered the ultraviolet rose and it was very tasty and smooth. Gabby was our server and she was great. She made good recommendations and was attentive. She answered all questions or made sure to get answers since this was our first time there. Monthly dinner club is finally up and running! Red rabbit......what a treat. Fun, laid back atmosphere and I can't say enough good things about our waitress (if only I remembered her name). My favorite was wood fired oysters, almost Rockefeller but without the spinach. The pastas were very good and cauliflower soup was very unique but hit the taste buds. Pizza was good as well. My partner and I came here for my birthday and it was incredible! We shared a salad to start (I don't remember what it was called but it was AMAZING). I got the bolognese and my partner got the impossible bolognese. We also shared the carrots. Everything was delicious and good as leftovers too. I haven't been to Red Rabbit for over a year (thanks, Covid!) and boy, did I miss it! Updating my review as my experience this time was literally mindblowing. Reservation flexibility: we needed a table outside, because our friends decides to bring their puppy and our existing reservation needed to be changed. Service: our waiter (David) was amazing. He catered to all - kids, adults AND the puppy! Great food and drink recommendations, prompt service, made us feel at ease. He checked back on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. Food: The variety of food satisfied every single picky eater in our party. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were very generous. We had soups, salads, sandwiches and pizza. The charcuterie plate was huge, and wood roasted olives paired very well with it. Drinks: cocktails were delicious, and the wine selection - outstanding. We had take out from the Minneapolis location last week and it was so good so we came back for fine in at the st. Paul location. This used it be the old wild onion restaurant, re vamped. It was busy but we got seated quickly. It was me, the husband, and kids. Since it was Saturday, they had their regular menu and brunch menu. I had the bottomless mimosas, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese was fancy with corn in it. The soup was very good and creamy. My husband had a pasta and smoked bread. This location is very different than the North Loop location. It's much more 'drop in' casual. The menu is the same in both locations I recommend this location for a date dine. We arrived end of brunch on a Saturday The Bloody Mary was great, not a bunch of stuff hanging out of it! Just a basic drink. Had chicken parmigiana and shared it! Plenty of food!! Don't be fooled by the name because it isn't your standard breakfast pizza that you'd imagine given the name. Their New Age pizza is not bad but a little plain. Missing a little somerhing. Tuna crisps (app) are flavorful but not worth the money in my opinion. Bottomline, just get the shrimp garganelli, it's mouth watering. It just doesn't get better. The night myself and my companion went, a Tuesday, seemed to be slammed. That's weird. But, it shouldn't be unexpected...? It took a few times to be seated (they have weird seating for two, for dinner, near the kitchen/bar/patio access which is really strange) until we snagged a nice booth. The acoustics are still for the former nightclub that occupied the space, so it was really loud with the music turned up. The service was really slow, but graciousness was shown on both sides as to when the food arrived and when service was rendered. Why are cooks, waitstaff, and busboys pressed into service? It was a mishmash of unhealthy grossness. We ordered the ricotta toast and it was disgusting, Next up, the mushroom soup and after a few spoonfuls, it left my mouth burning. The main course, butternut squash ravioli, came 35 minutes late and was served cold. The pasta was tough and chewy, the butternut mash cold and inedible. For an entree, there were 6 ravioli. What they served was a pasta appetizer, not an entree. Definitely a miss. Loud atmosphere, confusing parking, uncomfortable seating, and really, really bad food. Serving pasta cold? Inexcusable. I just had surgery done but I placed this order ahead of time so that when I get out I can get go straight to eating it. I had to avoid solid foods for 12 hours. I had sparkling water which was really good that was served in a styrofoam cup and straw. I ate this in my car so I get the nifty reusable to go container. The ravioli was cooked perfectly. The filling of butternut squash was just the right amount but the touch of sweetness was balanced as well. I believe there were pecans on top which was my favorite part. The creaminess of the sauce was great and there was a bit of butter that kind of floated on the side. Honestly, I don't seem to understand how this could have been a 5 star or 4.5 star service. It was a typical restaurant. The food wasn't spectacular, and I've only tried one meal, well two. The Meatball and spaghetti were supposed to be amazing, the meatball was bland. The spaghetti was overcooked unless you know what al dente tastes like. My wife had the lasagna and it was un edible. The amount of grease that was oozing on the bottom reminded us of the TV tray dinner and the pasta was far overcooked than the spaghetti . The waitress seemed to have disappeared and only came to see how "everything was" after our second bite. I mean, it would have been nice to have her come by a few times to check in, nope. Also, I like an old fashioned, you can tell if a place knows their drinks by the way they make their old fashioned and mine was terribly mixed. The balance and ratio between the whiskey and bitter was so off, that it just had an unpleasant balance. I ended up with a beer and complained about it. The service never cared to accommodate my drink. So yeah. It was also very very loud in inside which made it difficult to communicate. So, I would have to have my arm twisted and be forced to go back and try again. read more

Very good food. I ordered just a cheese pizza and an arugula salad through Door Dash and both were delicious. The pizza is really something else. The thin, crunchy base had just a bit of rich tomato sauce and the cheese was salty and garlic-y. So good. The salad, although simple, was just right. The flavor was tangy and pepper-y. I'm digging this new spot! It's massive, has parking, and the decor is appealing, it makes me hungry and thirsty. Speaking of thirsty, that Japanese cocktail is divine. My sister in law had a free birthday pizza coupon and since this St Paul location is closer to us we decided to head here for a late lunch, 230pm-ish. Good thing cause I imagine this place fills up during peak hours. She ordered her fav, breakfast pizza. We also tried the ricotta orange-garlic bruschetta, poppy seed raviolo with burrata, pickled rhubarb and pine nuts, and grilled broccolini. Yes, for two people. #fatties They definitely know how to make pizza, that crust is perfect, but I found the rest a bit too soggy for my liking. The bruschetta is my new favorite thing ever! Grilled, buttery, delicious charcoal notes, yet refreshing with the ricotta orange. The raviolo was undercooked. The pasta was HARD. I couldn't eat it, so it went back. It took a little bit to get the replacement out, but this dish was soooo tasty when it came back al dente. Whoever decided to put all these flavors together is a culinary genius. The only thing I wish was on there was pancetta, I'm a meat eater and I was missing that bacon goodness. Grilled broccoli was really good too, but spendy for the amount you get. Came to Minnesota for son's hockey tournament and went to Red Rabbit for dinner. The server was so friendly. She knew we needed to do a quick eat and go, and they were able to accommodate that. The service was beyond our expectation. It's been awhile experiencing such excellent and friendly service. We tried it for the second time. I called to make reservations but they don't take reservations for a party of four. However, I told him we'd be there in 15mins and he told me that there should be seats available, as people are leaving, and if not the wait would be no more than 10mins. Once we got here sure enough there was a table for us. From the front desk to the servers they're so personable. The food is also quite really. It's slightly on the sweeter side, but probably because I had the butter nut squash ravioli. The overall ambiance is lively and casual nice. I will definitely come back when visiting Minnesota, again. read more

The last time I have been to the 'Red Rabbit' location, it was 'Wild Onion'. I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised; they have streamlined the décor, contemporary - clean. No more dance floor, this is a place for a date, for a casual sports watching - I enjoyed it. I came on a Sunday for an online date about 3pm (place was almost dead) The bartender was accommodating as I explained the situation... to made sure that he knew that I wanted the tickets SEPARATE (online dating has been weird for meet - ALWAYS go dutch for the meet and greet) - ha! They had Surley Axeman on tap as of 1/5 - this is delicious and surprisingly harder to find in Twin Cities bars. The thing I wanted to review / rant about most is the FOOD or pasta that I choose after concluding: #1 I am too lazy to make fresh ravioli at home and #2. I have pizza a lot, so however good it looked and smelled as it came out for others - pasta were my carbs of choice during this visit. Red Rabbit has a small menu, so you can't miss it - it is the only ravioli on the list. I was thinking about writing up some elaborate culinary review to convince you try it - but then decided that is like spoiling the plot, you just need to try it and decide for yourself. The olive oil probably helped, but all the flavors combined (no matter how you perceive it form the description on the menu) was absolutely fantastic - and a sweet sensual party in my mouth. The poppy seed base was a nice end touch. A little spendy side for me, but that is subjective - there is a parking lot, and plenty of street parking on Grand Ave. The bartender topped off my water more than once - #thanks! I came here with a friend for dinner, and my first impression was the quick-and-easy wait list option - we were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. We were seated at a small, 2-person table which was just fine! We ordered wings to start and although some were burnt, they brought us a new batch without us even asking! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my friend ordered the cauliflower. Wow, the cauliflower looked amazing! The fettuccine was also quite delicious - not something super special. But the dessert...the coconut panna cotta. Wow. Honestly, the best part of the entire dinner! It was coconut flavored but garnished with lychee and lychee shaved ice! Red Rabbit is the epitome of comfort food! I LOVE the St. Paul location as it is more spacious, has more comfortable seating and has a bigger parking lot than the North Loop one. Our group came here for brunch since there was no wait here (bonus: you can see the wait times in the Yelp app!) When we arrived around noon on Sunday and we were able to get seated right away in a big booth. Our server was very friendly and attentive and started off right away asking if we'd like still or sparkling water. We perused the brunch and lunch menus, as everything I've tried from Red Rabbit has been phenomenal, it was hard to choose! For the table, we decided on the Arancini. They are rice, mushrooms, chives, onion and parmesan stuff balls deep fried in bread crumbs with a garlic aoili. The outside was so crispy and in the insides were melt in your mouth goodness! There was so much flavor in each bite and it was just so warm and comforting! I am definitely ordering these again when I return. For my entree, I ordered the Cavatelli. It is one of my absolute favorite dishes from Red Rabbit! I couldn't muster up the courage to try something new for the fear of food regret of not ordering my favorite pasta dish. The Cavatelli comes with their house-made Italian sausage, fennel, onion, garlic and parmesan in a white wine sauce. The sausage was so savory with a burst of Italian herbs. The pasta was cooked to perfection, it had the perfect chewy consistency, not too al dente and not too soft. The white wine sauce blends all the flavors together very well, its hard not to lick the bowl clean! Others in my group group ordered the Enzo, Chicken & Waffles, Breakfast Pizza, and Lobster Benedict. I had a small piece of the Breakfast Pizza and it was nice and light. The crust was thing and crispy and very aromatic of Italian flavors. It came with a sunny side up egg and the server who brought out the food cut open the runny yolk and spread it around the pizza for us. If this was my pizza, I would have preferred to do the yolk myself. I was for sure eyeing the Chicken & Waffles as the chicken looked perfectly glazed in a maple-chili-ginger sauce. There was a very generous portion of chicken too! I may have to venture out and try that for brunch next time. As far as the service, our server was excellent! He came to check up on us often and fill out water jug when it was empty. I believe the manager stopped by twice too to see how things were going and ask us how the food was tasting. The staff were very attentive with clearing plates and refilling waters and made it such a great experience. They currently have a Buy $50, get a bonus $15 gift card deal going on. I think this is a great deal, since most restaurants usually only run a deal like this if you purchase a $100 gift card. read more

Honestly, I usually don't go to brunch because I'm getting too old and impatient to deal with everyone and their mother brunching at the same time at places that don't take reservations. That changed when Red Rabbit started offering brunch AND Yelp NoWait. They saved us last weekend when we had waited for over an hour elsewhere, and then we were able to park in a private lot and get seated immediately at Red Rabbit instead. Overall = private parking lot on Grand (WOW), large lovely space, great service, fun menu, good food! For food, I tried the arancini, breakfast pizza, and lobster benedict. The arancini (basically deep fried risotto balls) were so comforting. I loved the umami mushrooms inside paired with the creamy and zesty aioli. The breakfast pizza was beautiful with the yolk from the sunnyside egg and bubbly crust. I found it delicious and filling and I liked the fresh rosemary. My lobster benedict had great flavor. Mmm tender sweet lobster with savory sauce. The english muffin was just overcooked and I could tell it was sitting under a headlamp for a bit. Still worth a try though! First time here. Had lunch to celebrate granddaughter's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the peanut butter porter to start. We had a cup of broccoli soup that was tasty. I enjoyed the pasta with spicy sausage. It wasn't too hot but had a nice kick to it. We also had a mushroom pizza. It was good although the goat cheese was a little overbearing.
