This place can go to hell in a hand basket for all I care. The staff is rude and unprofessional and arbitrary at best. I was denied entry there because I had TWO small holes in my jeans. The bouncer was very rude and condescending and tried to pick a fight with me when I questioned him about letting in other patrons with tattered attire. When I called my friend to come out (she had already gained entry) to discuss, he actually got loud with her. The "lounge" is right next to two easy-going atmosphere bars that didn't turn any one away, and the bouncer at the spot directly next to this god-awful place did confirm with me that they are overrated. I'm definitely digging the atmosphere and the people. It's was more mature bunch on a Saturday the first time I visited. The DJ kept the groove and throwbacks (90s 00s) coming. There were a few sprinkles of TOP40 and it worked quite well. Open format DJs usually have a higher music IQ, and the proof was there. I thoroughly enjoyed what he was doing during the beginning of the night! The decor seems to center on the dark venetian styled chandelier red tones with VIP lounge couches all about. Basically another nice bar/lounge. I was very surprised to see carpet throughout Red Martini, those things are definitely gonna attract a smell and look if they're kept around too long. The location is very convenient and parking spaces are located everywhere, and if you're fast enough, you may be able to find a free parking meter space. The only con is that the competitors around the area serve their drinks for a lesser price, but at a different scene. I do see the type of crowd they want to cater to and for the most part, it seems to work very well despite the neighboring bars.. I don't think any other business owner could have done it well enough and for that I must give props! I'm certainly more than happy to welcome Red Martini to the Buckhead neighborhood. The security staff is not very professional. As we were in line we could here their inappropriate conversation, which included a few phrases of profanity about the derriere of a female and what their opinion was, real or fake. They checked my bag and boldly commented on the items inside... cracking jokes about what I had in my purse, "the whole drugstore" "she brought all this stuff like she was about to operate"....etc... Once inside I went to the back 4 a drink because there were no areas to get service unless you bought a bottle, there were plenty of roped off sections tgat required you ball out.. my male friend paid $20 to get in, we could only stand amongst the crowd and watch the women grind on the guys in the walkway since there didn't appear to be a dance floor. I only give it a 4 because the photos can be misleading. This is a long lounge, the decor is relaxed and chill. When you walk in the dance floor, seating and bar is right there. The cool part about is that you can walk to the back and it's like a mini restaurant right there, really cool because you still have the lounge feel but not in the middle of a dance floor. The food was amazing shrimp tempura and sushi was great. Our waitress/bartender Tonya was great as for her she is a sweetheart and wonderful. I'll go there again only to have her service. I've been to Red Martini several times and it's always proven to be fun. There's limited parking available, so I recommend using Uber to get here. There is sometimes a cover (usually $5-10, but free for ladies on certain nights). Music: Saturday nights are the best in my opinion when they play a mix of top and current hip-hop, R&B and some pop. There are other music theme nights, but not as fun as music played on Sat, in my opinion Service: I have never had bad service here. it's always been great. The bartenders are attentive and friendly. They make good drinks. One time, the bartender was kind enough to hold my friend's jacket behind the bar until the end of the night.. Crowd is mixed from college students to professionals in their 30s-40s. On a busy night, it can get pretty packed. However, there is an outdoor patio and seating in the back. Food wise: you can order sushi at the sushi bar in the back. While not the best sushi, it's pretty good especially given this is a club/lounge venue. Overall, this is a fun place to smoke some hookah, hang out with friends, enjoy drinks inside or outside and bust a move when you're in the mood. read more

Okay so I like the atmosphere of the place. It's really cozy, low lighting, red decor etc. free entry and $10 all you can eat wings. My friends and I had a both in the front by the entrance and in front of the DJ. When. I got there it wasn't really packed, just a good amount of people. The hookah was cool and the drinks were pretty average (ordered a lemon drop) the servers / bartenders were not that attentive. The DJ was okay - played pretty general radio music - the only thing that really caught my attention was that our section smelled like dirty feet so I couldn't really enjoy myself. Was there last night. I had fun. Drinks are good, music is good and the overall inside and outside looks nice. Nice velvet red lounge booths inside, where people with a table sit. Then there's a bar, where ppl can also sit, although after a certain time, they do take the chairs away from the bar bc it gets crowded. smh. Kinda weird, IMO, bc the chairs don't take up that much space, but whatever. Outside, they've got plenty of seating, as well, nice patio furniture for you to sit on, with nice patio tables to put your drinks on. There's also hookah for you to smoke, if you're into that. Late Review: My boyfriend and I decided to go to Red Martin one night after dinner. When we pulled up to the building we were not expecting it to be connected to another spot and we expected it to look much nicer on the outside. We paid for parking and proceeded to go inside ladies were free but my boyfriend had to pay a cover charge. We didn't think that was necessary but he paid any way. Once inside the place was nearly empty and set up much more like a club than the restaurant/lounge we are expecting. We decided to order drinks at the bar and decided to make the best of our time since we were there. I must say it was not at all what were expecting. We thought it was gonna be more a lounge atmosphere but as the night went on alot more people showed up and it was packed inside just like a club. My wife and I met friends here. We originally went to the club two doors down but, that place seemed like a grunge club. We then walked outside and saw a massive line of finely dressed people. We decided that this is the crowd we wanted to be around. There is a sign that says something to the effect of "No cover charge. Ever!" Everything was good until all of us males went to the entrance after being searched by the bouncer. The people at the door said there was a $20 cover for males. This is annoying and this should have been announced before our women were already let inside for free! That is why this place will get a three star. We paid and immediately saw people everywhere! There were people dressed as if they had a late night at the office (this is a good thing) and women dressed like models. She stood up and walked next door to Red Martini and the guy manning the door looked at us and said "I can already tell you, my answer is no." And denied us entry. Mind you, no one was drunk. My friends and I went to Red Martini to celebrate a birthday. We tried to make a reservation by emailing and calling the establishment beforehand, but nobody would pick up the phone or return the email. Strike One. We arrive around 9:15 and were seated in the sushi bar area of the lounge. There was one couple seated there and a handful of people at the front bar, and that was it. The place was EMPTY. We ordered some sushi rolls, edamame, hookah, and drinks. The food was very good, the drinks could use a little more finesse and flavor, but they were passable. The hookah is one of those new electronic kinds with no coal cakes, which was cool. So maybe around 11ish the place starts slowly filling up, and a friend of ours was meeting us there. She got turned away because she had on flats. She had on Tory Burch flats for God's sakes! Um....can a flat get more classy than that? Yet she was turned away and had to drive home and change her shoes. The only reason she came back was because it was a birthday and not some random night. Strike Two. I asked to speak to the manager because I was pretty pissed about my friend being denied entry, after I had just walked past 2 other women wearing flats and a guy wearing cargo shorts. He did comp us a round of drinks, but oh my goodness was he a cocky SOB. Strike Three. I politely asked him was his dress code posted anywhere on the web, and he stated 'I don't have to post a dress code anywhere'. When I pointed out how empty the place was and that they really shouldn't be turning away customers, he said 'this isn't a volume business and I have a right to choose who comes into my place'. Oooooookay guy, I'm pretty sure the owners of the business started that business to make money, and its very simple; if you don't have enough volume, you go out of business. Please can it with the snobby attitude. Bottom line, forcing a woman to wear heels to enter a place of business doesn't make any sense to me, especially given the fact that some girls just can't wear heels - some are so tall they don't like wearing heels, etc.... I have been out to just about every nightlife spot in Atlanta and NEVER before have I heard of a girl getting turned away for wearing flats. Its just ridiculous. I mean come on, this isn't Miami. And you're located next to Hole in the Wall for God's sake. Oh and then....to make matters worse, after my friend got turned away, I saw a dude come in wearing a T-shirt and leggings!! LEGGINGS! Like the kind you wear to go running! Another dude was wearing a T-shirt and sneakers. Their so called "dress code" is very arbitrary and subjective. They need to be careful with that because that is how you get sued. I JUST got put out of the bar...WHY because the WHITE bartender lied on my BLACK ass...it all started when my black friend asked the bartender what tequilas the bar had. The bartender named 4 expensive tequilas with no prices. My friend said; ' ok well, if thats all you have- I'll take the Patron.' The bartender poured the shots and gave the total...$26. My friend then ask if that was the cheapest tequila they had. The bartender states that she has $10 tequila shots. My friends ask why she wasn't told this earier and ask for the $10 shots instead. The bartender gets mad and tells my friend she has to pay for what is poured. My friend tells her she didnt want to pay for Patron when they had something cheaper and ask why the cheaper tequila wasn't told to her. The bartender doesn't answer. Instead she removes the shots from in front of her. Mind you, I'm dancing the entire time so I have NO idea whats going on. My friends briefs me on the situation and I say; 'ok well if she took the shot away, lets go to another bartender.' As we are doing this the original bartender grabs us and calls security to put us out-which he did. Security tells us if we pay we can stay. I agree to pay caus I was vibin. Now, mind you, the reason the bartender CLAIMS she can't pour us new shots is because she can't reuse the old shots. But when we get to the bar to pay, the bartender pours us brand new shots. When my friend ask why she wasnt giving us the original ones, the bartender tells security to put us out...again...once again, I'm dancing so idk whats going on. I then see the bartender go to the owner and whisper in his ear. He then tells security we have to go. When I catch up to the owner and ask what we did wrong, he tells me that the bartender said we called her a bitch and a whore and so, for that, we had to go. NEITHER me nor my friend EVER called that girl out of her name. And when I told the owner this, his reply was; my bartender wouldn't lie. Apparently, Red Martini hires lying ass saints. I don't understand WHY that bartender would lie. And I definitely don't understand why the owner doesn't believe that people he hire are capable of lying. I concluded one thing...the bartender was white, the owner was white, I am black, my friend is black....you do the math. AND the bartender had two cornrows...she wants the sport black culture but don't respect black people. ALL the lady had to do was talk. Explain why she didn't tell my friend the cheaper tequilas. I really liked the vibe of this place. Red Martini is the leftmost bar on the strip of Moondpgs and Hole in the Wall. I visited the two other establishments before and have to say that the crowd at Red Martini was entirely different. This place is pricey for hookah but average for drinks. The hookah is $40 for unlimited coals and an additional $20 for each flavor refill. It cost more to be seated on the inside, where they exclusively use electronic hookah bowls. Flavors are decent, but you cant order off the menu always. There is a designated person making the hookahs and this is the person you pay for hookah only. Not sure why it is that way, but you have to pay for drinks on a separate bill. Also, the outdoor area was nice, but they keep the fans on, so for those looking to do hookah tricks you're out of luck. Parking is easy, with a $10 lot to the right of the building, and some free parking scattered around the area. The inside of Red Martini was cool because they had a dance floor and some VIP-style booths around it. Most people were dressed nicely, some men were donning sports coats. They do have sushi which looked good, but I didn't order this. We only stayed for an hour and the place was starting fill up, so it might be interesting to visit here when things are in full swing. read more
