The Burgess is the first boutique hotel in the Buckhead district. It is truly unique. The owners inspiration is steeped in two disparate design ideas: to create a sense of home and reflect the life of travel enjoyed by the owners. These are quite apparent when you experience this elegant space. The service I've experienced here is quite rare. They truly make you feel like you are home with family. It all starts with their General Manager Yannick (shown in photo). He trains the staff to make you feel special through their attentiveness and welcoming approach. Not to mention he and the staff exhibit some serious high fashion. They dress to impress. Mr. B. Bar is an elegant space that balances bar and lounge really well. The cocktail program is strong with both creative house specialties and classics. Even the classics have a fun spin. Their old fashioned is delicious with a coconut washed bourbon and spiced pecan syrup. Seen in the photo is a well-crafted Black Manhattan by Mark, the head bartender. The bar is a tribute to Keki Bunshah (Mr B.), the owners father. Mr B was the leader of the first Indian expedition to summit Mt. Everest. The photos of his amazing summit are displayed throughout the bar and adjoining library. Mr B. Bar and the Burgess is a must if you're in Atlanta. Go see Yannick and enjoy being treated like royalty.

Our total was $71.60 with tax for 4 drinks. Each drink was about $16. Pros Loved the decor and the drinks were great! Not too much juice and just enough alcohol. Cons $16 a drink can rack up pretty quickly if you're a heavy drinker. Would I Recommend: Yes! Based on the drinks I would definitely recommend this place. We tried a few cocktails and some shots, and everything was smooth, balanced, and honestly way too easy to sip. You can tell they take pride in their bar program. On top of that, the cowboy theme makes the whole experience even better. From the décor to the music, the space feels playful and immersive without being over the top -- like stepping into a Western saloon but with a modern, classy twist. Perfect for a night out with friends when you want great drinks and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

As there weren't any tables available in the main area where I wanted to sit down, I chose to wait there. Meanwhile, I walked to TW once again and asked him to put my name down for when a table opens up. He told me that whenever the first table is available, it is mine. I waited for 30 minutes, watching 3 tables open up, and he never mentioned anything. At some point he seated a couple at one of the tables, so I came up to ask why he hasn't called my name yet, to which he moved his arm toward me in a gesture as if he was getting rid of me, saying "you can sit wherever you want to" with an attitude. I requested to speak to a manager, and all the manager did was offer me a table. At this point I was no longer in the mood to relax and enjoy my night, as I didn't feel welcome at this place at all. After a five-minute conversation with the manager and no result, I left. Very disappointed, and not coming back here. I was going to use this hotel for my birthday, but I guess now I'm taking myself elsewhere.

Both were pretty good. The rooftop space is nice, and I liked having the option to hang out outside. One thing that was a little disappointing was the seating situation. There weren't many open seats available because most of the tables were reserved or required a purchase, so it was hard to find a place to settle in. The vibe also felt a little off since there weren't a lot of people there during the event, which made it feel less like a party and more like a regular afternoon at a rooftop bar. On the plus side, I did enjoy the music and the photo booth was a fun touch.
