I really love The Eagle, and I usually go there on weekends. However, the night I enjoy the most is Thursday because of RAQI's Karaoke. I always have fun singing in front of everyone, and the people there are so supportive. It's also easy to make friends, especially since RAQI has created such a welcoming and friendly environment. What an experience. I had always been told the Atlanta Eagle was not your typical Eagle and boy they were right. Personally, I am not a leather clad individual, not against it, it just has never been for me, so i typically only visit Eagle bars when I am with someone who is in leather, but I kept hearing that it didn't matter here so I trusted their judgement and gave it a go. First: $5 dollar cash cover Parking: the lot fills fast. Take an Lyft if you can. I saw a bunch of blocked cars Inside of the building was like a maze. A maze where each room brought you to a different bar and I wasn't really sure which was the actual Eagle, but I will say, each was fun. All seemed to be held together with a prayer and Elmer's glue, but the building didn't fall in on me when I was there. When you're on the main floor you can at certain points here click clacking from above where people are stomping or walking at certain points. Each room has bars with friendly staff and friendly crowds. Everyone is there to have a good time. There's a discount for cash. Cash is king at the Eagle. The drinks are strong. The ceilings in areas are really low. At times you feel like you're in your best friend's aunt's basement back home, but everyone is having a blast. And that's really all that matters. read more

Thursday night karaoke was rubbish. I over-tipped the bartender at the request of the KJ (Rocky). I actually don't have a problem with that. I was initially impressed the KJ was concerned for the bt, who he kept trying to get to sing all night, to no avail. Additionally, I tipped the KJ to get up for a second song, after being able to sing relatively early on; I tipped him multiple times, in fact. I kept getting bumped, and I never was called up for that second song, even after checking with the KJ to make sure it was possible. All he did was take my money; he didn't really have any intention of getting me up there for a second song (I know, I know, my bad). If he was honest, he could've just told me as much. I understand having a long rotation, as I'm not at all new to karaoke. Just say you don't have time or don't like the song, etc., just be truthful. I'm all on board for getting new singers up, especially patrons who were there for hours. But at the end of the night he was putting up singers who had been there maybe five minutes, while those who had spent their hard earned money at the bar all night got passed up by said newcomers. It's a bad look on the establishment and the KJ, who seemed more interested in singing multiple times (which he did) than letting the customers do so. I doubt I'm the only one who got taken, so lesson learned. TLDR: tipping this KJ is a waste of money, but absolutely tip the bartender. :) read more

Came to town for pride. This place is a rip off. Two regular drinks came to $33 and then the suggested tips started at $4.50 and went up to 10. Sadly, this is not your traditional eagle. They should just change the name altogether. The only great thing was the patio. read more

I consider Atlanta Eagle to be a my go-to watering hole after a long day. The staff is always friendly. The entertainment is nice and I am a karaoke regular. It does get popular as the night goes on, as with any karoake in town; if you are looking to sing it is best to go early and get on the queue asap. The host is always accomodating as best as any karaoke host can be, and I have been there when he has told those that put multiple songs in that others that have not had a chance may sing before (Totally fair and understandable and that is good of any karoake host anywhere). The night is always filled with cheers and applause for everyone no matter if they are a singer or not. As with any thing that is too much of a good time, the night does have to come to an end and one will be delighted to experience the Midnight Mayhem drag show directly after Karaoke on Thursdays. You may not see Karoake advertised on FB as much as other events but it is a consistent form of energized entertainment each and every Thursday. I highly recommend this bar as it has become "neighborhood" bar where you will be greeted by a smile from friendly bartenders and are sure to have a good time. read more

Partial two-story gay bar/dance club with DJ, several bar/dance floor areas, and fairly large outdoor patio. Somewhat diverse crowd (seemed mostly younger ages), and straight friendly. Went with my brother and his friends, and while this was my first visit, it's one of their local hangouts. The layout seems very disjointed, with several ways to walk through the property. Very easy to get separated on a busy night, which it was during my Thanksgiving holiday weekend visit...it was packed! The staff was friendly. Drink prices, especially beer, were much less expensive than at BJ Rooster's, down the street. The Atlanta Eagle is located in a small strip mall that has several clubs and restaurants. Parking is free, but can be difficult to find. read more

Went for karaoke, signed up hours before several people arrived and was never called but watched others get called up. Very horrible experience. I was asked by other patrons had I gone up as they were experiencing the same thing. We saw several people just walk up and go right out to sing. If you're going out for karaoke don't waste your time. read more

First, I'm glad that the Eagle, in the long run survived after the multi-year nail-biter emotional roller-coaster about: closing. No wait, not closing. No actually yes closing. Oh wait we're reopening. Whew! We made it! Buuuuut. . . That said, I have so many questions: - why does it always take at _least_ 5 min to get a drink even if the place is almost completely empty? - why are you completely out of bottled water, like not a single bottle in the entire place and why did it take a 5-min scramble involving three bartenders to determine this? - why are so many of the lights on the upstairs dance floor focused directly at eye level so I feel like I'm reenacting the ST:TNG episode "Chain of Command?" - why was last night (1 June 2024) Furry night *and* Rubber night *and* Glo-night all at once? Spread the love around a bit maybe? - why do you routinely 'open' the upstairs bar and leave the poor bartender high-and-dry, out of half the things he needs and having to run downstairs to stock (ever hear of a barback?) when there's a line five people deep? I _want_ the Eagle to do well and I _want_ to support them, not least because, lord knows, we need more, more, more spaces that are (even if in name only) Leather/Kink friendly but. . . y'all are _not_ making it easy. Now to be fair, I've been here mostly on weeknights and maybe that's not the A-team? But please do better. read more

This used to be a great leather bar but the owner sold out and when I was in there the last two times my husband and I were the only two people in leather. In fact we had several of the staff come up and comment "cute costumes. And over heard two staff members commenting to each other how we didnt fit in. Sadly, a very pale impersonation of its former self. If twinks, clones, and messy white girls were my jam, I'd go to Blake's. Maybe once the new wears off it will be more authentic. I really do hope so, because right now it's a little depressing when compared to the former location. read more

A very trendy place that is a new location for the historic Atlanta eagle that start it back in 1987. The location has changed but true essence of the bar is the same. Although there are some familiar faces as bartenders. It is a counterculture metal bar that is currently going through renovations, but has potential to be 10 times, no 50 times better than the original location. read more

I never leave reviews but this time I HAD to ! came with some friends to a new spot and had a blast! the music was amazing and the drinks were too but the best part of the night was the flawless service that the bartender downstairs Tim provided. 10/10 would visit again ! read more

There was only a handful of people at the bar. I was the only one there with a food order. I waited at least an hour for a simple hamburger which never came so I ask for my tab, paid my bill and left without the hamburger. Someone needs to explain and correct the problem. read more

I stopped in at the Atlanta Eagle tonight, and the bartender who served me was fantastic! I saw his G Clef tattoo on his upper arm, and commented on it. He said I was the only one who knew what it was. When I asked his name, and he said "Stan", I told him my Uncle Stan had disowned me. He said he would be my Uncle (despite the fact that I think I am several years older than him.) But, I'm glad that my Uncle knew what I wanted to drink tonight and kept me hydrated. I went to the drag Sunday brunch with host Ruby Red. The show was amazing and hilarious the brunch was good . They have a great time at their show . Very friendly atmosphere several entertainers. They make you feel welcome and cater to everyone. Ruby is the host of the show and invited my friend who is an up and coming artist from Seattle for a guest performance. Everyone was very supportive and extremely friendly. It's always something for everyone everyday at the Eagle . I highly recommend Ruby Red's Sunday Funday drag brunch and the club . read more
