As a West Coaster, I definitely appreciate Red Mango's presence here in the 'burbs. Initially, I got a kick out of people walking in expecting 80's style sugary fro yogurt and making sour faces. As time passes, I noticed longer lines and a growing appreciation for this real version of fro yo. I definitely prefer this more in the summer or as a substitute for ultra-rich ice cream. It's funny though, I've noticed a little more sugary flavor to their yogurt lately. Hmm.. is it only in my head? or are they trying to make it more palatable out here. (I went back to LA recently and it was more tart, less sugar. The same deal with Pinkberry.) My favorite lately has been original with Ghirardelli chips, strawberries, and Graham crumbles. Another good pairing I found is fruit pebbles with strawberries and blueberries. If you bury the blueberries under the yogurt, it tastes extra good! mmm read more

Red Mango is definitely tasty! The frozen yogurt is always tasty and they have a few different flavors to choose every day. The problem is, it is pretty pricey for what you get. The cups are never anywhere near full and for what you pay they should be. Employees are usually friendly, but pretty young and get overwhelmed pretty often (Red Mango gets pretty busy). The shop itself is tiny, so takeout is definitely the way to go. Being in downtown Naperville though is a nice plus as you can grab it and go walk on the riverfront. read more

You provide me with healthy fruit filled frozen yogurt as several self serve frozen yogurt places pop up.. you know, the ones with a bajillion flavors and "fat ass" toppings as I like to call them (that's not a comment on people that consume those toppings because I love them and also eat them frequently). I might be in the minority, but I like Red Mango because you're limited in your toppings. Well I think they serve cookie dough? and some other things, but the fresh (super fresh!) fruit is where it's at. We used to love red mango. Not sure if it's just this franchisee is overcharging and watering down. It used to be thicker and creamier now it's just water and sugar and artificial flavor. I also noticed that we always get the same amount and same toppings. I have multiple past receipts always in the $15-25 range. This time no difference in the amount we always get and same toppings yet we were charged $33. So many great ice cream shops here... frost, kilwins, Andy's custard, DQ, forever yogurt (and they offer a 10% off w library card). I would have been happier with the higher quality gelato and even that would have been cheaper than what i paid here. And we only fill halfway and go easy on toppings bc it is by weight. Red Mango is the krem de la krem of frozen yoghurt. I love their toppings and I have yet to experience frozen and tasteless fruit toppings (they are ALWAYS fresh or at least taste like they are!). Their original and rasberry yoghurts (when in season) are my favorite. Not to mention, this is the perfect summer location: picture walking along the Naperville Riverwalk while indulging in this healthy but sinfully delicious treat *sigh*. Good yogurt. Mostly nice and helpful staff. Hugely understaffed. Be prepared to wait. Also, the menu gives a price for one topping, and one price for two or more toppings; however, they charge you extra if you get 4 toppings. That's not right. I think the owner is more into making money than providing good service, which is evidenced by the so few people working at busy times and the fact that they charge more than the menu says. Don't get me wrong the yogurt is great but I was extremely confused by the customer service I received 2 weeks ago. First, I politely asked for some sample cups and was stared at by one of the teen workers and only given one cup. This was a little nuisance but I used the cup for multiple flavors because I had no other choice right? Lol gross. If that wasn't enough the entire time I was filling my cup with toppings I was distracted by the conversation of one of the employees who complained about her job the entire time. Unfortunately this was the same female working the cashier and when I kindly asked "Hi, how are you?" her response was "Horrible". The rest of the transaction was left in silence & I was very relieved to get out of there. Red Mango is honestly the GREATEST treat in all of Naperville, in all of the suburbs, in all in the state of Illinois, and in all of the land! The first time I went here was last summer and I have been craving it on a weekly basis since then. Although each of the flavors and topping combos I have tried have been fantastic, my all time favorite is simply the Original with double strawberries. My husband and I will normally get a large of this (which is huge) and share...and realize we should have both ordered larges. The yogart is really refreshing and smooth. Whenever a Freeziac or Pinkberry is out of reach, Red Mango is next on my list. I have tried their pomegranate and Madigascar vanilla, those are pretty delicious. It is pretty pricey but it is frozen yogurt without the ice crystals. Try it and I am pretty sure you will agree the taste is great. read more

I went to Naperville today with my husband today to meet some friends for lunch. After lunch, I insisted that we go to this great frozen yogurt chain called Red Mango (I have only been to the LaGrange location previous to today). When we arrived, I was embaressed I had ever suggested trying this Red Mango location! The girl behind the counter lacked of people skills: she continued rolling her eyes throughout our presence, did not make any eye contact, told us very rudely that we can't order if we're standing in front of the menus, and she sighed when I asked to sample a flavor, etc. I was with 4 adults and we all looked at each other and decided we would never spend our money here. I asked the girl behind the counter her name as we were leaving and she looked quite sheepish....however I don't think it would be right to put her name down as she is just a rude kid. Every single time I have been here, the place has been extremely dirty, there is sticky yogurt and sprinkles everywhere. The people working there are young and don't have good customer service. They also play music that is very inappropriate (every curse word possible) considering that there are young children there all the time. Horrible horrible experience .. I was introduced to their sample at my local gym. I came in the same day, they didn't have any of the ingredients. That is fine, then I attempted again the following day to call and the lady on the phone was rude she told me they wouldn't have any in and hung up. I come in then the third attempt the day after ... then the girl who was by herself was all stressed out basically does not even want to sell it to me. She basically said that I was ordering so many and she doesn't even know if she can make them. She then tells me people usually calll in advance, which is fine. But tell me why I can't order it now and come pick them up later? I have no idea if this place wants business or not . What is wrong with companies these days? Do they train their employees? I wasn't even rushing her, I just had a few questions and she does not even know her own product. I'm super disappointed because I thought I could grab one of these juices once a day. I tried a pomegranate frozen yogurt topped with raspberries. What a treat and compliment for each other! Their yogurt is smooth, creamy and pretty much packed into a cup nicely so that there aren't any air pockets to object to. Their fruit is fresh, tasty, sweet and tart. The staff is friendly and the establishment itself is ultra clean, sleek, and inviting. They are a little on the pricey side, though. read more

This is not your TCBY frozen yogurt. Some people may complain about that small bite of acidity in the yogurt but I love the flavor it gives this delicious treat. I love Pinkberry out in LA but it's a far way to go for fro-yo! Well, Naperville is a far way to go for fro-yo too but when you find yourself out in this suburb.... The yogurt is really delicious. Not overly sweet or tart. Good consistency. The selection of toppings is okay. Mango and mochi is delicious - I'd recommend it. I would recommend better training for the staff though. The lineup just getting longer as it seemed difficult for the staff to keep up with the making of the fro-yo. Also, the staff lacked the interactiveness and spontaneity of the staff at Pinkberry! They seemed really concentrated on making sure the yogurt and fruit topping concoction made it in the little container. read more

But finally, a place to indulge and not feel guilty whatsoever! Red Mango is my new favorite place for a healthy and refreshing treat. Walking in, my attention is immediately diverted to the variety of delicious-looking, colorful toppings. There's a nice space to relax on some couches or sit and enjoy your treat at the tables, but all I can think about is getting my frozen yogurt, or "fro-yo", fix. They usually have one or two classic options for the yogurt, but there's also always a seasonal flavor. I'm usually a big fan of Madagascar Vanilla-it has nice sweet, yet tangy taste that's not too overwhelming, especially with my toppings. However, now is the season for Pumpkin Pie frozen yogurt, which is my new favorite. They even offer it with graham cracker crumbs on top for the full pumpkin pie experience. Next is the choice for toppings. I like to try new things every so often, but a classic choice is raspberries with dark chocolate chips. They offer a variety of fresh fruits like mangos and kiwis which are delicious, as well as some cereals or other sweets. The only downside is that there is an extra charge for each additional topping after the first one. The prices are a little on the high end for me which is my only complaint. I usually get a small with a few toppings and the total is around five dollars. However, the good side is that a small is usually enough for most people. Their bigger sizes I would only suggest if you plan to share or are incredibly hungry. Red Mango is the perfect place to find a treat that will satisfy your sweet spot while leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. With friendly and helpful workers, and some of the best frozen yogurt around, you definitely get your money's worth. read more
