Today I tried my first float. I got a 60 minute float a single room. The cost was $89. The business is located in a strip mall. The interior is full of art and wellness items. The own greeted me who I entered and she gave me a tour and explained my services to me. The place is inviting and clean. After you go into your assigned room, for me it was the Blossom Room, you remove your clothes/jewelry and take a 6 minute shower to remove any products that may be on your skin. Then when your ready you enter the tank. I got down on my knees first and slowly laid back to start my session. There's soothing music playing and controls inside the tank that turn the lights off and you can select the start sky option. I started with the starts and then switched off the lights and completed my time in the tank in complete darkness. This was relaxing and restorative. Looking forward to my next visit.

Shower, tank, the 2 neck noodles (bother blue, one hanging on the wall and one on the ground) and the pool noodles.

I was in Baltimore for only 2 nights and was looking for a float nearby while I was in town. And I'm so grateful I stumbled upon Red Lotus. I was running late and when I called to inform them I was assured to take my time and that my float would be there when I arrived. I was greeted and shown the facilities. I have not been to a float location with all the assistive technology they had. They had pool noodles that Diane (I hope that was their name) said they offered for people with back issues. She offered them to me because I had a cut on my finger, so sweet. They had thick neck noodles ( I didn't love, but I can imagine would be great for folks who want more neck support). Diane offered me cap for my hair, not sure if it was cause I was Black, bit I really appreciated that there was the option which I also have never experienced at another float spa. The rooms were very spacious and so were the tanks. Once the lights on the outside went out it was completely dark and completely quiet. The water was a bit cool for my preferences, but not distractingly so, I soon forgot about the coolness. They had all the essentials and what you would expect in the room to prepar. They also have the bright orange/yellow ear plugs that you seal your ear with but a smaller (and better in my opinion) size then what I've seen before. Afterwards there is a cute dressing space for doing hair and stuff. And a cute little sitting area to ease into returning out in the world. Diane brought me a tea menu and brought me a nice hot cup of tea as I waited for my car service to pick me up. I did not feel rushed out even though I was late and had the last appointment of the night. It was a delightful experience and I definitely will be back if I return to Baltimore!

I decided to see if my husband wanted to de-stress and try going to the float spa with me. I have floated at a very nice float spa in Annapolis, but I have been waiting patiently for Red Lotus to open up. One of the reasons is that they have a float suite for two people. My husband was very open to the idea, so I made an appointment. Upon our entry and tour to Red Lotus Float Spa, we met the owner Marie! I just gotta say that in reading her website and some of her Facebook postings, this gal has got it going on! She did a lot of research to get things right in her business. I know from floating several times that there were things I knew I would change if I owned the first float spa I went to. Marie gets even into the smallest details....she dots the i's and crosses the t's! :) The waiting area is very serene....smells like a yoga studio upon entry. That really helps to get you relaxed. Everything from the floors which I would call *infinity* to the wall colors are just right and help you get in the mood for your upcoming experience. Marie gave us the grand tour. All the suites are beautiful and so many details. Starting with the larger ones, the floor in the shower areas are a non slip material. She has a room where once you dress, you can go and do your hair/makeup so that you can go about your day....there are blow dryers, lighted mirrors and stools to sit on. Very, very tidy! The Zen area after your float is appointed with very comfortable chairs, teas and waters. She even has coloring books and a journal you can write in about your experience. As for the suite, so many things.....soft towels and robes, *donuts* for under your head (you will float in all the salt they have in the water!!) if you just can't relax. There is a rain shower and a shower head that you can pull down to get off pesky soap. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are on the wall ready for your use. One of the things I really appreciated this time was the type of earplug she provides. It fit into the ear opposed to the ear canal. I found the last time I floated with the ones that fit in the canal, I was interrupting my time by trying to keep them in my ears! I really appreciated these! For the float, I love the starry ceiling.....we opted to just keep it on with both of us in the chamber. You have the option of turning all the lights off as well as the music either on or off. You can even adjust the volume of the music. A voice comes on to tell you when your time begins and ends.....I have to say this was definitely one of my favorite things. The pool is very clean and I know while we were there, one was being tidied up. There really was nothing not to like. The only thing you have to do is dump your mind upon entry to the pod and just let the relaxation take over. Speaking for myself, an hour time is just enough.....your mileage may vary though. Once we our time had expired, we showered, dressed and had tea and water in the Zen area. Marie displays local artisans art and stained glass. I bought a piece of the stained glass for one of my home windows. She has things you can color and it's just a feel good experience! There is an infrared sauna that she warmed up so that I could check it out. It's definitely another option that I may do in time. We need to take care of ourselves and this is a way to destress your mind and it does help with body pain. Marie has done pretty much everything right.....I commend her for really researching her product....she alluded to more coming. I don't know if you can improve perfection! :)

Good customer service. Clean facility with everything you need to float or sauna comfortably. Bluetooth capabilities. Cost comparable to other float spas. Relaxation room if needed with tea of your choice.

Lovely cup of complimentary hot tea before heading back into the real word.

I'm in love! Such a cute, clean, modern, zen studio. Very warm and friendly staff. Today was my first ever float and I found it to be a very relaxing experience. I'm absolutely coming back.

OMG! I was in heaven at Red Lotus Float Spa! They provide everything you need and go above and beyond. My first float experience was amazing. It was like an out of body experience! If you like meditation, floating in the ocean, complete calm and serenity or just want to shut out the world for a bit then you should try it!

Serene and quiet room to enjoy your tea and finish distressing.

I have been floating regularly for about 3 years now, I have been to spas all over the United States and Red Lotus is by far the best one I have been to. Marie has covered all the bases, I actually bought my own Halo, because some places do not have them, and only have the pillows that I find cumbersome around your neck. Doing this time of stress everyday, a nice float is an enjoyable way to end your week. I will continue to recommend all family and friends to Red Lotus, and even plan on gifting my daughters a few floats to introduce it to them. Marie thank you for your hospitality, and look forward to seeing you soon.

I had never floated before I got to be a part of the RLFS soft open. Marie and Mike have worked so hard to get the spa perfect, and I have to say - their efforts have paid off. The spa is clean, and the whole set up is so well thought out. Marie made sure I knew what to expect, she helped me to feel relaxed and comfortable, and all of the things I wouldn't have thought about with floating were already handled. I was so impressed with the space - but the float was wonderful!! I felt so relaxed and blissed out after. If you're looking for a new way to unwind and let the stresses of life melt away - please check out Red Lotus. You won't be disappointed.

My best friend, who booked it for me, eventually helped them locate it, but by then my appointment time had already passed. I was told it would be rescheduled for April 22 at 12 PM. When I returned on April 22, another receptionist, Precious, told me there was no appointment in the system again. I was then told my original holding fee had already been used, but I could receive a refund after speaking with management if I placed another holding fee for a new appointment on April 23 at 2:30 PM. After finally attending the April 23 appointment, I asked about the refund I had been promised and was then told by another employee that I could not be refunded even though all of these issues were caused by staff errors, not me. I came for a massage to relax during the final weeks of pregnancy and instead left feeling frustrated and more stressed. The lack of organization, poor communication, and conflicting information from staff was extremely disappointing. A spa should be peaceful and professional, but this experience was the complete opposite.

The facility is massive -- it almost feels like a mall. There's a cafe, indoor pool, plenty of fitness areas, and spacious locker rooms. Everything felt very clean here which is a plus. The Sunday 10:45am vinyasa class was advertised as "medium heat" but it barely felt heated. The instructor wasn't my favorite and the flow felt clunky and disorganized. Her queueing wasn't very clear and if I were a newbie yogi, I'd be pretty confused. Most of the class was spent in child's pose or savasana and I would've preferred more time to flow and play. The studio itself is fairly small for the size of the rest of the gym. As a guest recently, I had to download the app in order to get my guest pass which was pretty annoying. It feels like all the money goes to extras like the sitting areas, pickleball courts, classes that cost additional money, etc. The only gym area is the second floor, and even that is taken up by classes. Machines are often broken and dirty, kids are CONSTANTLY running around unsupervised and playing on the equipment, and the gym etiquette has taken a severe hit. You see people filming, reading up multiple machines, sitting for an hour while scrolling, and not putting things back. I had to change my workout so many times because the free weights were missing entire bands of weights. Again, the staff is incredibly kind and nice.
