Stephen C. gave me the BEST massage I've ever had in my entire life. I get a full body massage monthly, along with weekly alignments from Massage Envy and The Joint. I so wish I could add Tocar Spa to my monthly wellness regime. I was visiting my family in Baltimore for 2 weeks and knew I needed a massage after that 6 hour flight. I purchased the Groupon in the airport, booked the appointment later that evening, and went in for my visit the next day. It was super simple to book and Stephen was extremely responsive when I sent in an inquiry email. The Spa is located inside of a suite in a office building. Inside it's warm, cozy, dimly lit and smells delightful. Just like I like it. Although I get monthly massages, one would never know because Stephen knocked out all of the lingering problematic areas that Massage Envy just couldn't get. What I like most about Steve is he will customize the massage to fit your individual needs. She made it a point to give proper attention to all areas (e.g. hands, chest) and not just concentrate on one particular area or muscle group. I started going to Stephen a couple years ago. I was diagnosed with a slipped disc, so I gave him a try. I'm still a faithful client and have enjoyed the monthly membership Tocar offers. This review is primarily for a 4 hands massage. I had several months worth of massages banked because my schedule had gotten too busy to keep my regular appointments. I decided to treat myself to a 4 hands massage. Stephen and Eddie performed the massage. I didn't know what to expect, I was just looking forward to 4 hands instead of 2. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get my usual 60 minutes, but ya can't have everything, right? At times Stephen and Eddie did strokes that mirrored one another on opposite sides of my body. Those times it actually felt like a 4 handed person was giving me massage-hence the name. At other times, one would work on my upper body while the other did my lower body. Talk about total body relaxation! All in all it was a nice treat, but I still prefer my 90 minute massage. This allows for better focus on any particular problem area and plenty of time for deep stretches to loosen the muscles in my back. read more

The massage was easily in the top 5 massages I've ever had in my life. If I think about it any longer, I would say closer to top 3. I prefer light massages but often times when I tell the masseuse that it turns into more of a lotion application session and less of a massage. I arrived close to 30 minutes late for my appointment after getting lost on the way and while most other places may give me attitude and a shorter session, Stephen was very accommodating and still provided the full 60 minutes of massage time. I had purchased a Groupon for a hour and a half massage and it was expiring so I had to make an appointment...why let it go to waste or not get the value of the deal? I tried calling and there was no answer but the machine left a detailed message letting the caller know to go on-line and schedule the appointment. The on-line scheduling process was pretty simple, the only thing I found difficult was finding an available day to schedule. Tocar Spa was booked up for at least a week, so I scheduled an appointment for a day that I could take a longer lunch. I am so glad I purchased the Groupon because would have never known about Tocar Spa; I received one of the best massages I've had from Stephen. He did such a wonderful job.
