My experience at Asian Healing Spa was delightful. There was no wait when I arrived which i a plus for me as I am a very punctual person. My masseuse was amazing. She literally touched every single part of my body and left me feeling like I was on a cloud. You bet my next appointment has already been scheduled!

The receptionist sleeping when we walked in. She immediately shushed next when I woke her up.

I had a great massage from Susan. Better discount when you pay in cash. I will return.

The spa is quiet, private and reasonably priced. My massage couldn't have been more relaxing.

Happy Feet Asian Foot Therapy has two locations. This review is for the Catonsville, Frederick Road…read morelocation. Happy Feet Catonsville has been a staple for over 10 years at this location. With that said, they have quite the following and you WILL need to make an appointment ahead of time. I randomly came in on a whim after a friend told me that it was the best foot massage she had ever received--she's Asian and literally has been everywhere for all things massage so I got in the car first thing on a Saturday morning and headed straight there for their 10:00 AM door opening. The parking lot is small and was already filled! I was so surprised but walked in and was placed on a waiting list. Since they don't have much room inside, I waited in my car, and they came out to get me when it was my turn. I am SO GLAD I waited. It was intense yet calming. Harsh yet relaxing. Overall, I felt relieved. Since then, reflexology has been one of my favorite services to try out in different areas but honestly, Happy Feet is the BEST. In addition to foot reflexology, they also have hot stones and acupressure point massages for head and back. If you reeeealy like rough, they offer deep tissue too.

Powerful. Goo. That…read moreis what I felt upon ending my session with Brenda. Okay wait, let's start from the beginning. I'm all about relaxation and what not. I mean, who isn't? I have tried everything from the massage, facials, acupuncture....etc. etc. I have never tried foot reflexology, and honestly, I was slightly skeptical. I'm really weird about folk touching my feet. However, Brenda was HIGHLY recommended from a friend AND she was having a weekend special. Why not try it? Best, I leave uber relaxed, at worst, I wouldn't. Contact is made directly through her website, she responded to me rather quickly to set up my appointment. Services are done either at your home, or at a private location. If she comes to you, there is an additional fee, but after my experience, I understand why it is totally worth it. Brenda is uber trained and knowledgeable about her field. You can tell this by the way that she interacts with you and the absolute delight and pride that she takes in her work. Prior to your session, you discuss any issues that you may have, be it digestive, spiritual, emotional, etc.; your session can be customized to address these things. You saddown in the chair and then POW! That's all she wrote the pencil broke. Have you ever been so relaxed that you knew where you were, but your body/mind may have been someplace else? No? Confused? Exactly. Look, I know that I felt the massage, I heard the music, but my mind was GONE. I was in a complete state of relaxation. The things that I saw and felt emotionally are things that you wouldn't believe, and I wouldn't dare attempt to explain in this forum. But at it's conclusion, I felt at total and complete PEACE, more so than any other modality that I have tried, and folks that says a lot. After the session, you have a consultation to discuss what occurred and any recommendations that she may have. In addition she will follow up with you should you have additional question/concerns. Definitely something you should try, check her website for specials, and be prepared for a treat!

I have been seeing Brenda for about two years for reflexology. She's an expert. Each of my…read moretreatments has been unique and customized to whatever's going on with me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I suspect Brenda has a strong compulsion to learn new things, as she introduces new treatments and modalities she has studied - not only is this just plain interesting, it also means never a dull moment in treatment. The zero-gravity chair she uses launches me into space and I'm either out or hyperpresent (sometimes even both). As a long-time massage therapist, I'm interested in how the feet are portals to the self. My work with Brenda has deepened my understanding of how they function in this way. I am particularly impressed with how sensitive Brenda is to shifts in energy and mood, and how thoughtful she is in discussing challenges which may seem unrelated to feet but show up through them. So, in short, life without "foot crack" would be depressing and bad! If you have any curiosity about this modality at all, or have ever wondered what it might like to be more relaxed than you've ever been in your life, drop everything and book an appointment.

Honestly, I would come back here again because the pricing is cheap while still providing quality,…read morebut as my first massage experience I was a bit taken aback by a few details. The office itself is a bit confusing to get to, but thankfully the office texts with specific directions on how to get inside, and there is lots of signage to make sure you end up in the right place. Once inside, I had to wait about 10 minutes past my appointment time to be taken into the back. During this time one of the masseuses walked by carrying her dog, so that was a bit strange and made me question the sanitary conditions of the offices. Once walked back to my room, they told me to undress except for my underwear and lay on the table, then they left. The masseuse was knocking on the door 30 seconds later, so I felt a bit rushed and stressed, but she waited for confirmation to come in. She asked if I prefer medium or hard pressure, and I also let her know some areas I would like extra attention on. She made sure to focus on those areas and worked quickly for the 30 min massage. At some points she was up on the table straddling my head with her legs, which was weird. She also adjusted my underwear to be lower when she applied lotion to my back and didn't say anything beforehand, so it felt a bit uncomfortable because I didn't know what she was doing. In general it wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but there were some things that shocked me a bit. For the low price, I would still consider returning.

First time here, came for a couples massage. We were taken to a room, fully expected to speak with…read morethe therapists beforehand to discuss issues and where not to go. Just told to undress and the person left. Had to ask the people to wait before entering because not much time was given to undress. After that, the workers entered and immediately covered us completely and added covers over our heads. It was hard to breath and I became very hot. I let this go thinking this was how this place started, you know everyone is different. eventually the coverings were removed. When mine started with my neck and began my head I put my hand up and asked her not to massage my head and upper neck. She said ok. She didn't listen and I had to tell her several more times to stop. The neck/shoulder massage was extremely choppy with no rhythm. My head was bobbing from side to side. After turning over, I again said to not massage my neck, she said ok. She started and kept telling me to relax. I told her to stop bc it hurt and she failed to listen to me. After saying stop and shrugging my shoulders up, she finally stopped. She asked if she could massage my face and I said no, she took some towel or sheet or something and it whacked my arm. In hindsight, I should have stopped the massage all together for myself. My boyfriend said during his massage, it felt as though he was being beat-up the entire time and at one point felt the person kneeling on his back. Needless to say, this was my experience and not at all what I was expecting as so many people had positive things to say. I was very disappointed and will not be back. Tipping is also voluntarily, don't expect it!
