The office itself is a bit confusing to get to, but thankfully the office texts with specific directions on how to get inside, and there is lots of signage to make sure you end up in the right place. Once inside, I had to wait about 10 minutes past my appointment time to be taken into the back. During this time one of the masseuses walked by carrying her dog, so that was a bit strange and made me question the sanitary conditions of the offices. Once walked back to my room, they told me to undress except for my underwear and lay on the table, then they left. The masseuse was knocking on the door 30 seconds later, so I felt a bit rushed and stressed, but she waited for confirmation to come in. She asked if I prefer medium or hard pressure, and I also let her know some areas I would like extra attention on. She made sure to focus on those areas and worked quickly for the 30 min massage. At some points she was up on the table straddling my head with her legs, which was weird. She also adjusted my underwear to be lower when she applied lotion to my back and didn't say anything beforehand, so it felt a bit uncomfortable because I didn't know what she was doing. In general it wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but there were some things that shocked me a bit. For the low price, I would still consider returning.

When mine started with my neck and began my head I put my hand up and asked her not to massage my head and upper neck. She said ok. She didn't listen and I had to tell her several more times to stop. The neck/shoulder massage was extremely choppy with no rhythm. My head was bobbing from side to side. After turning over, I again said to not massage my neck, she said ok. She started and kept telling me to relax. I told her to stop bc it hurt and she failed to listen to me. After saying stop and shrugging my shoulders up, she finally stopped. She asked if she could massage my face and I said no, she took some towel or sheet or something and it whacked my arm. In hindsight, I should have stopped the massage all together for myself. My boyfriend said during his massage, it felt as though he was being beat-up the entire time and at one point felt the person kneeling on his back. Needless to say, this was my experience and not at all what I was expecting as so many people had positive things to say. I was very disappointed and will not be back. Tipping is also voluntarily, don't expect it!

I felt like I could get no relief and had to start acupuncture and PT (both are great) but always felt something missing (and my achy neck/shoulders/back is a constant reminder). Kathleen takes the time to understand your specific needs, comfort level, preferences, and any quirks. She takes the time to get acquainted thus giving you the best massage experience. And when I say that she takes the time, she does NOT take it out of your scheduled massage time! You get the time you booked. No one else has helped me feel so relaxed, sleep better, fall asleep while getting a massage and even have a wonderful emotional experience while being massaged. I'm still trying to figure out how a person of her size & stature could manage to produce the amount of pressure she does (I mean this in the best way possible). It's uncanny. She seeks and destroys tension & knots more immediately and affectively than anyone else I've ever experienced. And she somehow does it in the most calm & relaxing manner. A few things jump out at me every time I visit. 1) it feels like she genuinely cares about her clients' well-being 2) she takes pride in her practice; her office is clean, cozy, and chic 3) she's an actual expert/true professional; she employs techniques that make me think she knows things others do not. Lastly, my wife and I both go to Erin regularly. Her and I have very different body types and different needs. We both agree that no one compares, and we both enter Erin's office with knots and aches, and leave feeling reassembled and deeply relaxed.
