I have been a client here for nearly two years and feel the massage therapists working here are overall very skilled and professional. You can't go wrong with any of them and they're the real reason to visit this massage studio. The massage rooms and tables are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the float tanks are a really cool experience as well. There is a beautiful sauna area that's very Instagram worthy. All of the areas where you receive a service feel very serene, spa-like, and upscale. Meredith is a lovely person and makes really good use of aromatherapy and long holds or pauses in her massage that make you feel super relaxed and zen. She is certified in pregnancy massage and does a great job. Marcus has super strong hands, is ideal to see if you're looking for deep tissue massage, and makes good use of hot stones and warm towels. Ben is great as well, did some passive stretching along with the massage for tight areas. Karen seems to intuitively know the perfect amount of pressure to use and does the best head and face massage ever. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the entrance and waiting area you sit in prior to your massage/float doesn't really match the atmosphere of the other rooms. I think it's a little too kitsch and cluttered and reminds me of walking into a small store that feels very casual and doesn't have the ambiance of the massage rooms. Unfortunately not very "Instagram worthy". There's a lot of stuff for sale that isn't directly related to massage or even wellness, such as bohemian style clothing, silver jewelry, wind chimes, etc. The Speakeasy room has relatively uncomfortable seating (there are two firm, backless benches and just two chairs with a low back), more displays of non-massage related things for sale (such as non alcoholic refrigerated drinks, candies, books, artwork, etc.), large displays of business cards and fliers for other local businesses, and dark furniture which just makes the room feel small and cluttered. You sort of feel like you are waiting in a shop rather than being a member at an upscale massage and wellness studio. The self serve tea display is really, really nice but just gets lost in the clutter/decor/fliers. And my only other gripe is that the infrared sauna is preset to a really, really high temperature (maybe higher than spa saunas I have used elsewhere) and I was told it doesn't allow for adjustments. I was excited to use the sauna but couldn't tolerate it more than a few minutes at a time. During my sauna session I simply had to exit the sauna every few minutes to cool off a bit. I realize this is maybe because I am a sauna newbie but I do wish there was an "intro to sauna" setting for those like me to use. I scheduled a massage for 5pm this evening, but the therapist did not come in so I did not receive the anticipated massage. I then received an email that I would not be charged for the cancelled massage. It doesn't seem fair that I would be charged if I cancelled, but I received no discount for a future message after being inconvenienced. I agree that life happens but my problem is the unfairness of your cancellation policy. Here is the text of the email you sent to me : "You have not been charged for this cancellation." I DIDN'T CANCEL. And there is no mention of a forgiveness policy in the paperwork I signed should I have needed it. read more

I discovered this place because I was looking for a local float tank. I had my first float July 1, 2021 and I'm looking forward to my next! Today I went in for a chair massage because at $20 for fifteen minutes and no tip- it was the perfect fit for my lower budget and immediate need due to a strained muscle in my back. A big thanks to the always welcoming staff and especially co-owner Bob who gave me a tour my first visit! I went to Kelly Cole's guided meditation class for the first time on Thursday night. Oh my, was it wonderful. I knew I was investing in myself by going in that I would be laying down and focusing on my breath - two things I don't usually do during the day. THE BEST!!! I can't say enough about this place! From the super friendly & professional staff & owners, the clean & relaxing atmosphere, the modern equipment, & the place always smells so lovely. I'm a spa girl and for years have traveled to the Hershey spa for my ultimate spa experience, but this place is top notch, plus the services are MUCH better & more affordable! The floats are fantastic, but the massages are why I'm writing this review. I've been receiving massages regularly for over 20 years & have had many blah-poor massages other places, but never at Truth. First the sheets are like butter, the essential oils are divine, but nothing can match the expertise of massage therapist Joshua or Meredith! I've been a member for almost 2 years receiving monthly massages and never once have I been disappointed. When I receive a massage from Joshua, my body feels better for days! It's like the best physical therapy session ever. I say this because he will really go after my strong willed muscles and make them submit and relax long term. He has an amazing personality, great intuition, and gifted hands! I go back and forth between Joshua and Meredith because she is also amazing, yet it's a totally different experience. Her massages are like an out of body experience! She is able to get you into that state of zen and bring healing. She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of how everything is connected and she can connect that to her work in a magical way! My husband and I really enjoyed our floats at the spa. We are both first timers and were running a bit behind - the owner greeted us and took her time explaining everything, even extending our float time to meet their recommended 60 min minimum, even though we were late! After our floats she took us on a tour and the spa really is state of the art. There is a lot of pride in ownership and it shows! We will be returning and my husband, who suffers from chronic pain and has had several back surgeries, plans to float on a monthly basis as he felt relief for days after his float. I look forward to trying yoga and massage here in the future as well! read more

Love this place! The only reason my rating is not 5 star is that I wish the facility would be more plus size friendly. As a person of size I can say that I've enjoyed a float and a massage here in the past without issue. That being said there are multiple services that some plus size individuals cannot take advantage of based on size and/or weight. This alone wouldn't have impacted my review until I asked if they had a plus size robe. The staff wasn't sure, but checked, and it turned out that they do not carry them. I have hope that this won't always be the case and fully plan to still patronizing this local business. It really is a fantastic place. read more

The owners expanded into the old Verizon space and they have created a beautiful studio for yoga, massage therapy, a hydro massage bed, sauna, massage recliner chairs, and the only epsom salt float cabins in Baltimore County! I have only experienced a custom massage so far (with the amazing hands of Kirstin) but I plan to go back and try everything else. This is truly a state of the art mini spa retreat. The owner Stacy gave me a tour and she was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable! I was ready to sign on the dotted line! Truth Mind & Body is the place to go! They have so many options to optimize relaxation and your spa day. I went in for a 60 minute custom massage which was wonderful - Brandon was my masseuse and Kirstin was my boyfriends masseuse. Both did a fabulous job. I can't wait to go back to try the float spa and other services they have. One of the best parts was where the owner, Stacy, gave us a tour of the facility. She spent a good 20-30 minutes going over all of their services and products they offer, telling her story, and making us feel like a valued customer. She even creates her own body butter, bath soak, face mask spray, body scrub, and more out of essential oils which all smell great. She supports other local artists by offering them a spot to put their products. I will definitely be back to Truth Mind & Body! Well done. read more

Just disappointed with my massage. Really was looking forward to a relaxing massage which was so needed. The massage therapist was nice and all but after trying to communicate multiple times during my massage about what I wanted her to focus on...I finally gave up after 30 minutes of trying to make the best of it. Well when I addressed this with, who I can only assume was a manager, I was told that I would be charged for 60 minutes of the massage. At which point I told him If this was the solution i guess i should've just suffered through another 30 minutes. Definitely will be exploring other options. I've NEVER walked out mid massage...and I have had plenty of massages before. read more

Why haven't I done this sooner?! I didn't realize how stressed I had been feeling. Had a massage today from Danny...it was unbelievable and just what I needed! If the COVID mess is getting you down this place is exactly what you need. They have float tanks and massage therapy and other total relaxation therapies that I can't wait to try. The measures that are being taken to keep clients safe are fantastic. I am going to buy several gift cards for Christmas and be back VERY soon for another massage. I experienced the clean sensory deprivation tanks in December 2018 and had an awesome journey. The staff explained everything very well and made me comfortable before I embarked. I am SO thankful for this establishment. The space is pure tranquility and the staff members are experienced/knowledgeable. I made an appointment for a massage after suffering from a stiff neck, a problem I've been having regularly due to carrying so much stress in my shoulders. The massage therapist, Kent, was professional and listened to my concerns. I was looking to be fixed more so than relaxed. He targeted my shoulder and neck area without crushing my bones (like some deep tissue massages can feel like). Afterwards, he provided me with some stretches for my neck. Where do I even start? I wish I could live at Truth. Today I finally took advantage of the gift card my husband got me. I started with the 3D massage chair and wow it is 1) really cool because it scans your body so everything is custom to your size 2) ahhhmazing and powerful. These are not like those massage chairs at the mall. After that I moved on to my 60 minute salt float. It was my first time and I was definitely nervous but the staff explain everything to you so you are 100% comfortable. If you haven't floated before, DO IT. And do it here at Truth. Their cabins are not the typical clam shell that you see, it's an entire room. It's hard to explain what it's like other than you have no idea what relaxation is until you've floated. After my float I got washed up and headed to my massage with Idi. This was my first massage from a man, and I was a little nervous but he made me feel totally comfortable and not weird at all about being half naked. Not only is Idi super sweet and easy to talk to, he will give you the best massage of your life. Going in, I couldn't really pinpoint my problem areas, but he was able to identify them and work on them. I left feeling like a vibrant and refreshed noodle. I can't wait to come back with my massage/float skeptical husband and show him the way. read more
