I started coming to Red Light Healing Center after my hip replacement surgery. Just 2 months after my surgery, I was able to walk all the way up to Waimea Falls! I have no more pain from walking. I originally came here after doing online research on how to help with hair loss. I was struggling after a surgery and had extreme anxiety and it was almost immediately following my hair began to fall out in patches. I was terrified. I've had amazing results from using the Red light therapy to recover from a surgical procedure! I had complications from a reaction to the glue in the zip tie incision closer and the red light therapy helped to speed up the healing of the blistered skin as well as the incision line! Ok so I blew it by not knowing some very important info which I'm now going to share with you: 1. The day of your free session is when your new client pricing is available to you! It's only that one day!!! So do your research prior to coming in. The packages start at $200 and I wanted a few days to think about it but since I redeemed my free session today I only had until closing to make up my mind. I really wasn't ready to make my purchase so now I would have to buy at full price .... Decide prior that ur comfortable to drop between $200 and $400 prior to your first session so u can utilize the discounted packages. 2. You can split the package with a friend or loved one and you each can get an equal amount of sessions at a cheaper price. So it's better for the both of you to decide to do your free session together and decide if this is something you want to do so you get a greater discount. 3. Any sessions you purchase are valid at both the Honolulu and Kailua locations. I think that's really convenient. Kailua location also has tanning available to it's clients so maybe packages can be used for either? It would be a worthwhile question to ask if that's what your into. 4. Red light therapy is done in the nude in your private room with your own private bed. Everything is sanitized and goggles are provided. Do not skip the eye protection! 5. My experience was great. The worker was helpful and the video was educational. I didn't have a clue that my purchase needed to be made on the same day as my free session or I would have been ready. So glad there's a location in Honolulu to get healing red light therapy! It's safe, painless and only 20 minutes for a session, yet the benefits are amazing as you'll see from past client photos. And the residual benefits accumulate with each session. This location is spacious and clean with a calming color palette and inspirational messages on the walls. The relaxing feeling continues when you enter your private room. The best way to get the most benefit out of a session is by eliminating any barrier between you and the Red light. That means no makeup or clothes. Yup, bare naked! Simply lay down, pull the top of the bed over (it doesn't completely close so you'll have a 6" or so space), snap the goggles over your eyes and hit the buttons on the side of the machine. Then just relax as the Red light does it's work. The bed does get hot and you may even sweat profusely but that's all good as the toxins are released from your body. A fan at the foot of the bed will provide some air relief but truthfully you want to sweat, it's a good thing. If you don't sweat much on your first session, you will in subsequent sessions. For me, Red light has given me a needed boost to my Vitamin D levels. Even when taking 10,000 IUs, my labs never jumped beyond 22 which is pretty low. But three months of Red light therapy had my numbers up to 60. Also, after several bouts of dust mite attacks, Red light proved a great way to heal my skin and get the itchy rash under control. Incredible benefits. My hair that was thinning in spots is growing back, my psoriasis is MUCH improved the best it's been in decades. I wish I understood better how this works if we are lacking red light, or what. Not joking and I am a very hard sell and skeptic my actual face wrinkles are going away. I did not tell my cousins who I hadnt seen jn 6 months about the red light because it just didn't come up, both of them, BOTH started going on about how much better I look lol asked if I quit drinking or started working out within minutes of seeing me for the first time in awhile. I was extremely curious about this form of treatment and also afraid. But took a chance and am so glad I did. Like other reviewers, after you fill out a quick questionnaire, you watch a short video on the benefits of red light. Yes, admittingly I wanted some wrinkles to lessen. But watching the video, a few stated their pinched nerve pain went away. Wow. I've had mine for 1-1/2yrs and hate that it's still there and have to take ibuprofen frequently with the pain lessening but not easing. I have to say, after the 1st appt, I noticed nothing. 2nd appt same, however prior to my last appt (all a week apart) I realized the pinched nerve pain was gone. Unbelievable. Does my face look any different? I took pics each time and honestly it looks the same. I know there are package deals to get this service routinely and I thought it was hype but the pain free shoulder has me convinced. What I wish they told me was that I would be completely naked in the machine. My 1st appt was in room 1 which is within close proximity to the entry door. I was so nervous someone would come in as you don't completely close the machine. I felt extremely vulnerable. 2ndly, the sound the lamps make are those of cracking noises. I wish they told me ahead of time. I thought I was going to crash through the bed and get electrocuted. Needless the same my 1st appt was extremely stressful and not relaxing at all. The 2nd and 3rd time I chose rooms further away and knew what to expect. They have generous hours with the earliest being 6am. Wow! I'd never go that early but I do like early appts. I totally support this treatment and hope to keep going just for shoulder maintenance. If the minor wrinkles lessen, that's an added bonus. read more

Over the years, I had few injuries, such as 4 comminuted fractures in my left fingers, cervical disc herniation that affected my spinal cord, and required surgery . I had extra sessions left on a package I bought pre-Covid. I had hip surgery in December 2021 and decided to use up my sessions, and I'm so glad I did. I immediately felt a pulsing sensation in my left thigh where I had my surgery (a plate and pins). I also felt a sensation on my right thigh where I had been having nerve pain. There was no pain, but I had not had these sensations prior to my surgery. I feel I recovered better and faster, and the nerve pain finally went away. I started back up in Feb. 2022. The facilities are clean and the machines work as expected. Unfortunately, the owners and the gentleman at the reception leave much to be desired. The co-owner Alysson refused to honor 1 out of the 3 sessions I purchased on Groupon, because she claimed the Groupon was exclusively for first-time customers. This was after she claimed that I purchased the Groupon before I used a paper coupon that gave me a free session and, therefore, that session would be deducted from my 3 Groupon sessions. Both claims are patently false. I used the coupon first, the gentleman at the reception even cut it out of the magazine for me. Secondly, nowhere in the Groupon does it say that their offer is for first-time customers only. When I disputed their false claims with the gentleman at the reception, he denied I'd used the paper coupon first. He kept claiming that I'd redeemed the paper coupon after purchasing the Groupon. He even denied that I'd ever even used a paper coupon. He then rolled his eyes at me and treated me like I was trying to pull a scam or something. It was at this point that I asked to speak with Allyson. Allyson was even worse. First, repeated her receptionists claims. Then, she changed her story and claimed that the Groupon was for first-time customers only. Then, she complained that Groupon took 50% of the money. What that had to do with me, I don't know. Unable to dispute logic, she accused me of raising my voice and ordered me to leave her business or she would call security to have me removed. Of course, I was frustrated at the situation. However, at no point did I "raise my voice." When I confronted her with the fact that I did not raise my voice, she admitted that she wanted me gone because there were customers that she did not want to hear this discussion. I informed her that I would willingly and Alysson told me her partner, an unknown male, would call me to discuss this situation further. He has yet to call me. read more

As a dancer it's pretty common for me to get minor injuries here and there. For example, recently I twisted my knee the wrong way. Any time I would walk it would cause me a great deal of discomfort. From what I knew there was not much I could do. I even went to the doctors office to see if they could give me with it and they didn't tell me anything other than the put a brace on it. I've had 10 sessions so far, and I'm a believer! I originally sought out red light therapy to supplement my battle with candida and mold toxicity. Red light has detox benefits as it can help to activate the lymphatic system. After 10 sessions, I'm not yet noticing the deep benefits of it, but I have seen quicker healing of bruises, lightening of age spots and improved mood. I love, love, love this place! I'm happy walking in and even happier walking out! It's my 20 minute fix of feeling so relaxed and my happy endorphins are here! I have a pinched nerve in my C4 and 5. Doctors recommend that I do surgery because I was unable to move my neck left to right. Doctors also said that eventually if I didn't get the surgery, I wouldn't even be able to pick up a pencil! I usually go to the Kailua location, but love this nice, new location with 6 beds. The red light helped the surface of my skin and reduced the small wrinkles. It also sped up the absorption of a very nasty black, blue, and purple bruise when I broke my toe. Normally a bruise like that would look ugly for almost 2 weeks. Mine was almost gone in less than a week. It helped my husband's bad back dramatically. He was quite stiff after he had to skip going for a little over a week because he was off island. Full disclosure, we go daily because we bought the annual unlimited package. I should have read Victor M. Review before trumping the Red Light healing center. It's obvious that they are misleading customers. It's unfortunate when a business resorts to intimidating its clientele by making false claims. The Red Light Healing Center representative told me we could use our free trial session with our Groupon purchase for a total of four sessions. This morning a different employee said that we would not receive the four sessions as the Groupon is considered as a new client. When I called the management/owner Alison she claimed that I had been yelling at the employee and she felt it was unsafe for her employee. This is absolutely untrue, as I was attempting to understand why they would not honor what was explained by THEIR employee. Alison explained that the employee was new and unable to articulate the rules adequately. This seems to be a training issue on Red Lights part and not the Customer's. Alison is a poor owner and manager as she repeatedly shouted over me and falsely claimed that my friend and I were arguing with her employee. I will never utilize or support the health center as the are obviously a toxic environment which misleads clients with untrue statements. So sad read more

Red Light Healing Center is such a great place to discover. It is clean, the staff are incredibly friendly (makes me question some of the other reviews I read....) and leaves you feeling great after treatment. I've been going for a week and have noticed a huge difference in muscle recovery and overall feeling of wellbeing. I am very athletic and it makes me proud to know I am helping my body recover sufficiently. My skin looks great even after only 4 sessions, especially my face and legs, and I can't wait to see the results after I've hit 20 or more sessions. Helps to make an appointment but I've found them really accommodating with walk in visits every time I went. I think you need to go frequently in the beginning if you want to feel the difference it can make. I've been 4 times in my first week. People who complain they had no results after 2 or 3 sessions spaced out quite far or a few weeks or a month shouldn't deter you from visiting. Definitely listen to the advice of the people who work there and you will be happy you did. Highly recommend! read more
