Red Lantern was the bomb! The Chinese food here was seriously so good. I had the sweet and spicy chicken and boy, did it knock my socks off! It was so addictively good, and the shrimp fried rice was just as delicious. The pork dumplings were also amazing and packed with flavor. Overall, the staff was friendly and the quality of the food was excellent. I really applaud this establishment for the authenticity, great service, and delicious food. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

We were graciously greeted by some of their team when we arrived at the Restaurant. We utilized their valet and their team was very attentive when we arrived to get us on our way into the resort as soon as possible. It did take some time to get our vehicle back when we were ready to leave, but nothing outrageous. Red Lantern is DELICIOUS! This is my 3rd time here and they have the best Kung Pao Chicken I have ever had. We had a large party of 14, and everything was so good and the service and hospitality of the staff was even better. I myself was not fond of the Kung Pao Shrimp - but others in our party enjoyed it. We ordered many different dishes and the service was top tier. We truly enjoyed our experience at Red Lantern within Thunder Valley.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner and it was delicious! The restaurant is big and spacious with lots of seatings and a full bar inside. Our server was nice and funny. We ordered and shared family style.. we had the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, salt n pepper crab, ginger scallion lobster, Peking duck with buns, bbq pork chowmein, chicken wings and house fried rice Everything was delicious! My favorite was the Peking Duck and buns! Would Definately come back just for that!

I've been here several times for dinners. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of tables and a separate bar area, making it a great option for larger groups. If you're dining with a big party, I recommend ordering double portions of certain dishes, such as the honey walnut prawns. The first time we ordered it, everyone only ended up with one shrimp each! One dish I always make sure to order is the Peking duck. It's not overly fatty, and it pairs perfectly with the buns and onions. The mango coconut cheesecake is also worth trying--it has coconut flakes mixed into the cheesecake, which adds a nice texture and flavor. Service is fast, and we've never had to wait long for our food. The service itself is pretty standard, but the staff are consistently friendly.

We had family style dinner. The food came out quick and was good. Servers were attentive. Standout dishes: calamari and noodle dishes

Red Lantern has been our go-to for some time when we visit Thunder Valley. We came again just before a concert at the Venue recently. It was really busy so we are glad we booked a table. Definitely book ahead, especially if there is an event. We like to share some appetizers and fried rice and we did the same as usual. Pot Stickers, Soup Dumplings, and the Yang Chao fried rice. The soup dumplings were definitely the best and our favorite of the night. The Yang Chao fried rice was good, a generous portion that tasted fresh and had lots of shrimp, but it did seem to be lacking somewhat in flavor. We used the chili sauce, and had to keep asking for more - finally the second time they brought us a bigger portion. The pot stickers were fine but probably our least favorite. We definitely left full and food was fine, but the service was not as attentive as usual and it wasn't as great an experience as we're used to. But still worth 4 stars for the consistency and the variety on the menu.

I realized I am long overdue for a review of this place. Red Lantern has become our go-to spot for date night dinner. The atmosphere is fantastic and honestly, the bar area and the main dining room both have great seating options. Tonight we had potstickers, honey walnut prawns and the spicy chicken wings. Everything was spot on and absolutely delicious. I usually always get a lychee martini (which is absolutely great), but I decided to mix it up tonight with a glass of Pinot Grigio, and my husband had a Stella. As always, we were super happy with the attentive service. The staff always make us feel welcome and the quality of the food is great. This is truly a great date spot that we will keep coming back to.

12/11/25- Came down a day early for my son's graduation.. Made reservations and luckily we were seated with a server who had waited on us long ago..(he even remembers our names).. Went with half a duck and the braised tofu and bok choy.. Sooo good when you missed breakfast and lunch! Glad we had a delicious meal!

Reservations for four via OpenTable. Fong was our server and did an amazing job tending to our table. The food arrived and did not disappoint. Great meal and cocktails.

I attended the dinner to promote the gold bar whisky. I enjoyed all the drinks. My favorite was the lychee cocktail. The sashimi and scallop appetizer was so good. The main dish was just okay. The fried rice lacked flavor and only contained a small amount of eggs. The wagyu was overcooked. I enjoyed the flavor and the tenderness of the duck. Although, the sauce was just okay as it was quite sweet for my liking. The dessert was just okay as well as I do not prefer dense chocolate cakes. Overall, this was still a fun experience sampling the whisky mixed drinks.

Picked up the roast duck, Hainan chicken, and pork for a to-go order. It's a nicer sit down restaurant inside the casino if you want an elevated meal vibe. You'll have to wait a while for seating as it's a popular spot. Otherwise, great atmosphere!

This spot is located inside the Thunder Valley Casino. The wait was 20 mins for dinner. Service is quite swift and the food is above average.

Our favorite chinese restaurant when we come down from Reno. The food is excellent and the atmosphere authentic. Service is spot on and prices are reasonable. Check it out.

My husband loves to find good, local seafood places, but with their small menu, I opted to try another place first, but they didn't have reservations. If you like to base your dinner of chef suggestions, highly recommend. I love trying new things and didn't even ask what was on the menu, just went for it, along with the wine pairing. Everything was so very fresh and creative. We got seated at the bar which was pretty enjoyable as well because you got to experience how they "cooked" and prepared everything. All the chefs behind the bar and around it were all very knowledgeable in the food list, the wine list and pairings, and all so very hospitable. I got the Omakase course meal. My husband got the dozen oysters, the Omakse set oysters and one of the caviars. We just about shared everything. The chefs really know their stuff, so trusting the menu and what they have prepared is very worthwhile! And the caviar, holy cow, I didn't know how much I loved caviar before now. However, I think a huge part of that is what they served with it. Everything was extremely delicious and we can't wait to go back!!

Maybe it was timing, maybe this is how it always is, but the overall experience was really weird. The seating hostess seem confused by our reservation, and then where we should've been seated. The booths are spacious, and fairly comfortable. The overall decor and the vibe of the menu don't really match up, and then add in the waitress, who reminded us both of a waitress from a 50s style diner, with the same attitude, and things just didn't really fit together. Sounds like it should be fun? Not really. Service was mid at best. The menus that we were handed, were for lunch, dinner and happy hour. What we weren't told until we were ready to order was that they're literally was two minutes left to order from the lunch menu. We ordered the chicken tostadas from the happy hour menu, a mixed green beat salad, and the recommended cheesesteak spring roll. The quality, quantity, and price point don't have up. The flavor profile of the food doesn't either. The chipotle chicken tostadas left little to be desired. The presentation alone was incredibly unappealing, and the taste wasn't much better. The cheesesteak spring roll: while the presentation was exponentially better than the chipotle chicken tostadas, this was essentially ground beef fried in a wonton whopper. The chipotle sauce on the plate actually made it taste worse. Two "spring rolls "for around $15 is in insanity, especially when they aren't worth eating. The beet salad: out of the three dishes that we ordered this was definitely the best of the three, but not worth ordering again. A cold salad should be just that, cold. If it's a meat salad, the expectation would be to have, I don't know more than a couple of beats that have been quartered and placed on the plate. Much to their credit, the vinaigrette that was on the lettuce was tasty and did compliment the beet and goat cheese bite. Service was pretty nonexistent after we ordered, and I don't know if this is a trend with restaurants now, or what the deal is. Glasses were not refilled, we were not asked about our meal or some of these issues possibly would've been resolved. There were quite a few people hanging out at the bar for both early as well as regular happy hour, and they do have a pretty full bar selection. I really wanted to be able to add Rose Park to my list of Roseville, restaurants, but sadly it won't be the list of places to return to

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.
