Something I always like to start off with on their menu is their hot chai tea. It's hot and creamy with just the right amount of warm spices on a cold day in the winter. It also wakes me right up. Everything that we've ordered has been delicious, esp. the nimki chaat, dal, and spicy tofu. Their papad is also tasty and great for snacking if you're not too hungry. The service is always great, whether they are busy or not. Food always comes out promptly and they always check upon us to make sure everything is alright. I've spent hours at this place catching up with my friend, even after we're done eating, and they've never hinted at us to leave :) Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy spot with amazing food and great staff.

For small plates, I ordered samosas, pani puri, and veggie fritters. Loved it all especially the pani puri- crispy shells with chickpeas in them. Yumm! For entree we ordered chicken tikka masala with plain naan and white rice. My son won't eat the garlic naan which I would have preferred. The samosas were good except they were big so one was good for me. I didnt realize their size until it came to our table. One order was two large samosas. Oops. Tikka masala was good but I found it to be more stewy than thick, which is my preference. I like to eat masala with naan and this is when I wished I ordered garlic naan, but I didn't want to over- order. Overall, I'm definitely returning. Place was yummy and the vibe is beautiful and friendly.

We get their Pumpkin Tikka Masala with Garlic Roti (all Vegan and sooo good)! Tip: Add extra Tikka Masala sauce if you like to dip. Their Roti has a craveable chewy texture that no other place makes. We were seated immediately and didn't need to look at the menu too long before we ordered. We decided on pani puri and veggie samosas for apps and tikka masala and butter chicken, rice and garlic naan. I ordered a vegan mango lassi and him a regular mango lassi. The pani puri was ok. I like the crispy, but I wasn't too fond of the filling to be chilled. It also had a slight sweetness to it and it wasn't my favorite. I've had it before, but I don't remember it being chilled on the inside, but what I do like about it what is that? It has a crispy shell when you bite into it. The veggie samosas were my favorites. The butter chicken was kind of bland as well as the tikka masala. It did not stop me from finishing my garlic naan with our dishes but I found myself wishing it was more flavorful. My vegan mango lassi had a taste that I wasn't too fond of and didn't finish it. At the end of the meal, it was more than $100 and that was sticker shock for me. I don't think I'm returning, but the service is friendly.

The chicken tikka masala is a classic and definitely worth getting; it's flavorful and reliably good every time. But what really surprised me was the shrimp curry. I went in expecting the shrimp to be a bit overcooked or limited in quantity, but that wasn't the case at all. The shrimp were actually cooked really well and there was a generous amount in the dish, making it feel like a great value. One thing to keep in mind, rice doesn't automatically come with the curries, so you'll have to order it separately if you want it. That said, we usually skip the rice and go for naan instead, specifically the potato naan and garlic naan. Between the two, you get a really nice contrast in texture. The potato naan is thicker, soft, and fluffy on the inside, almost like a comforting, filled bread, while the garlic naan is thinner with a slightly crispy edge. Make sure not to sleep on the free chai tea, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Off to the right of the cashier desk, there's a little self-serve station with cups, sugar packets, stir sticks, and a large container filled with hot chai. You can pour as much as you want, whenever you want, which is a nice touch and a great way to round out the meal. One thing to note about the atmosphere: there are occasional slow periods where the place can get really quiet, and you might even find yourself as the only table there. It can feel a little awkward in those moments, but it just depends on the time of day. When it's busy, though, it has a much more lively, energetic feel. Overall, it's a solid, low-key spot with good food, a family-friendly environment, and a few nice little perks that make it stand out.

It did give an added warmth, in my opinion. The menu was varied and the options great. We enjoyed a variety of dishes there and took some home. We had prawn biryani, shaptak pork, shahi paneer, chicken vindaloo, lamb tikka masala, aloo gobi, prawn coconut, chicken tandoori, yellow curry dal, garlic and onion naan bread. We ate well and all the sauces, curries and favors were amazing with everything being just what we had hoped. I was especially fond of the shrimp coconut, but the birthday girl loved the spiced up lamb. There were no complaints, which is miracle enough with a big family meal. We'll be back to try more of their menu!

They also tried the Rice Pudding for dessert and a cup of the Dal soup..what a spread we had. The staff is so kind, and we truly had such a wonderful dinner shared together. You can tell they put so much heart into their dishes and the community that comes to support them. We can't wait to come back and try the Momos, Tandoori Special Kebabs, and the Chowmein (with egg!) And I like spice! But it was labeled 2/5 chilis and that was a vast understatement. I guzzled 5 glasses of water. I started to hear colors. The flavor was nice from what I could taste, but it was so spicy my sister couldn't finish her wrap and I suffered through mine. Even the owner said she would classify it a 4/5 chili dish, but it was her husband who decided it would be 2/5. It will burn a hole in your insides and humble you. - the vanilla cardamom panna cotta didn't have enough vanilla or cardamom flavor. The texture is also a bit...firmer and bouncier than others I've had. The caramel and nuts on top were a nice touch.

The Tenali Kura (paneer) claimed to be a 2/5 spice level, and I assure you it was NOT. I have been trying to follow an acid reflux diet, which is supposed to be minimal/no spices. I figured 2/5 would be okay- maybe some warmth, but surely on the mild side. I was wrong. After 2 bites, I felt like my lips were starting to puff up and my mouth was salivating more to deal with the spice. I felt so confused, I had to ask the owner "Is this a 2/5 Indian spicy? Or regular?" and she laughed. She said "If it were up to me, I would say it's 4/5 spicy. My husband said it was a 2/5 so that's what he put on the menu." Honestly my mouth was so numb, I can't even comment on the flavor of the food. I would love a new menu based on the wife's judgement of spice level. On a different day, I had the butter chicken and rice, and it was excellent. I would consider going back but not for the tenali kura. The staff were all friendly and great, and there's a cute mural on the wall. The outdoor area seems like it'd be a great on a hot sunny day too.

I love the lentil soup that came on the side. The table shared sev puri and the batata puri and both were really good. I think I liked the batata puri better.
