    Butter chicken

Always a solid option for takeout Indian fusion food. Though my usual is the butter chicken, I tried the cream chicken combo today and it was super flavorful. They have daily combo deals, but if you end up going with something else, you basically get to make your own wrap/plate. The paneer samosas are also really good. Hearty portions, food is always fresh, and its a great late night option. It's better for takeout than dine in, since there are very limted seats outside and 2 tables inside.

everything tastes really good but i especially recommend their indian street tacos! it's also fairly priced.

Okay food in a pinch, but not amazing. I ordered a chicken wrap for pickup on Snackpass. The wrap had decent flavor, but there were pieces of bone/cartilage in my wrap, which was annoying.

I really liked this place! Ordered on Snackpass and it was super quick and convenient. They give you a discount on your first order too. The food here is basically a Chipotle but for Indian food. You choose your base (white/brown rice), whatever type of protein you want (I got the butter chicken), and then you can add whatever fresh veggies and sauce you want to complete the dish. The bowl was packed and filled with plenty of food, and they did not skimp on the amount of chicken. On top of that, it all tasted really delicious which is the most important part. Definitely worth a try!

Legit good Indian fast casual student food. Daily specials are generally a good value and delicious.

Good food but they close at 9pm not 11pm and a little rude. (Yelp needs 85 characters to post this is filler)

Delicious flavors in a casual setting. Try the lassi if you like cardamom. The unique flavor is worth much more than the $3 price.

If you didn't know, know ya…read moreknow...located essentially across the way from CAL in Berkeley, East Bay Spice to me is a hidden gem filled with such nostalgic memories shared with friends over the years. They closed for a time, and now seem to be thriving again! Heading to the Greek for a weekend show, we wanted to pop in somewhere close-by. We cozied up to bar seating, and enjoy a couple of martinis featuring local gin and vodka, and ordered some food to share: the Original Tikka Masala Flatbread (we had to finally try it!), and the Sev Puri Chaat (first time trying this ever!). Service was amazing, and if I could write this review purely on the originality and creativity of the menus, I would (see pics!) The menus were CD cases (remember those, ha) with a fun take on 'Spice Girls', titled 'East Bay Spice Company'. For Spice Girls fans, you will recognize what album this was derived from. Each page of the cd book was a different part of the menu, including drinks, happy hour (from 2-6pm), and food. So fun, and unlike anything I've ever seen before. The food was so fresh and delicious. Loved the pomegranate seeds and lightness from the Sev Puri Chaat, bite size garbanzo bean/potato goodness! And standing O for that flatbread..pro-tip: get a side of the Tikka Masala sauce to pour on top. Absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Tikka Masala, and having that sauce be a base for a pizza...come on!! We did chicken as the protein. Overall, so happy to return and have East Bay Spice back apart of the Berkeley rotation again. Small, dimly-lit, cool digs. Also check out their sister spots: Tap in Lounge and Tipsea in Berk, Blue Rabbit Bar off San Pablo, and Lemon Drop in Alameda.

The presentation was impeccable, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken seemed like a leaner cut, possibly breast, but it was still tender and not overcooked. I thoroughly enjoyed this plate and would 100% come back to order it again. My husband ordered the flatbread, though I can't remember the exact name, and it was surprisingly delicious as well. It tasted almost like a pizza version of the chicken tikka masala, making it a great shareable option if you're looking to snack, chat, and enjoy cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, the bartenders seemed very knowledgeable and helped me choose a drink based on my preferred spirit and cocktail style. I ended up with the Skeleton Key, which was strong, but still paired well with the meal. I'd happily come back to try more cocktails and, of course, order that chicken tikka masala again.

Combined, it means "Lord of the Stars" Near the corner of MLK and Shattuck Ave- across from Trader Joe's is this nice little vegetarian Indian restaurant. A recommendation from a client I had today directed me here before my trip home over the San Rafael Richmond Bridge. I found a parking spot right around the corner. One space from the corner is Udupi Palace and the Corner space is a Turkish restaurant that once was a breakfast spot that I used to frequent back in 1984. A memory jolt from times long ago when I worked for a minute across the street at a modern furniture store-"The Apartment Store." Chrome, glass, and marble home furnishings that took several months to deliver and required a 50% deposit. A strange business model indeed! To my delight, my meal came much quicker. A nice portion for my curry entrée which came complete with rice, Poori: Deep-fried, puffed whole wheat bread, and I believe a piece of Papadum: a thin, crisp wafer made from lentil flour. VEGETABLE KORMA: Fresh vegetables cooked with cream and mild spices.(Served with rice, poori or chapati pickle, raita and papad.) $15.95 Friendly service as well and I was offered extra rice, complementary.
