Not a good experience. Got the wrong order. Did not order noodles, but got them any way. They were dry and lacked flavor. The menu said egg rolls were $1.89 for 1and $2.50 for 2, so I ordered 2 egg rolls. They charged me for 4 egg rolls. I asked them what comes with a combination meal, was told an entire and rice, no egg roll or anything else. I ordered 2 combination meals, but only received 1 and a order of Fried rice, that had very little taste. On a good note, the egg rolls were good. The rest, I wasted my money trying out something new. read more

Was expecting better We were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to stop in at Red Dragon Express Chinese Restaurant. The staff at Little Dragon weren't very friendly (At least our server wasn't) however, it seemed to be a very popular spot with the locals. On this visit we ordered Chow Mein, Fried Rice,and, Orange Chicken. We were disappointed with both entrée's. The seasoning level was non-existent and the chicken was dry and very overcooked. Next we tried the Chow Mein noodles and Fried Rice, once again very disappointed in the flavor. Our meals just weren't very good. The noodles were extremely greasy and the rice was mushy and flavorless. I love Chinese food however, I would not recommend Dragon Express based on what we ordered. But since there is a big selection on the menu, maybe the other entrée's are better tasting. read more

This place needs to change the way the operate. I went down here to order a combo meal, and the combo I wanted special rice. Instead of being able to have special rice in my combo meal. I had to order it on the side which costed me more money and I am not happy why not have a combo meal that comes with special rice and charge more it is just that simple. read more

This spot is amazing we live in the Tempe area and drive down to Laveen just to get some food. The customer service is amazing all the girls are lovely and very helpful. Been eating here since 2004! Some items are great like the Mongolian beef, broccoli beef, and beef stew. Noddles are ok. I don't like it dry. Sometimes it's pretty dry. The house fried rice is amazing when it's done right. Maybe depends on who's cooking it. My kids love the fried shrimp. I use to love it back in 2004-2008 when it was less batter. Now a days, sometimes, I can't even find the shrimp. But it's the best steam item selections of Chinese food in my area. The service is pretty good. They are friendly and not stingy with servings. My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood, not far from this restaurant. The week we moved in, we took his parents to try this place in hopes of it being a new favorite Chinese food place. It was a complete waste of money and a total disappointment. The layout is similar to that of Panda Express, but the food is far from edible. Wow! This place has the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life, no exaggeration. When first trying this place it was decent yet still below par, and now its been consistently getting worse. The food lacks flavor and complexity that you would find in asian food. I have tried to give this place numerous tries because it had potential at the beginning, but after the 4th time I give up! My most recent stop, I found a ton of black specks all over my Singapore noodles which most likely resulted from the cook scratching the wok way too hard. These people can't cook! Our office staff eats lunch here often, so it's not unusual for me to throw-in my order once or twice a month. Here's the weird part: I always order the same thing, yet I've had it served up about 31 different ways. These guys are the Baskin & Robbins of Chinese food! Don't get me wrong - the food is good and tasty, it's just never the same. We eat here regularly for two reasons: 1. Flavor and quality of the food is consistently amazing. 2. Value for price. Each container of food (combo plate with chow mein and 2 entrees) usually weighs a couple of pounds. NO JOKE. We usually get one plate to feed 3 people and there are always leftovers! The staff here are always friendly and treat our 4 year old daughter like she is a special guest. I really appreciate when staff take the time to acknowledge children and make them feel special. We ordered take out today. Didn't realize we couldn't go in to place the order so suggest calling to place the order. They are taking orders from the window but the wait was only approx 7 minutes. We ordered Beef Broccoli, Teriyaki Chicken and Orange Chicken dishes with Chow Mein as sides. It was extremely all very tasty this evening. The kids said the Chow Mein was better than the other Express Restaurant across the street. Portion sizes were very satisfying and food was not dry and overcooked. Not sure how this place has two stars. Red dragon blows panda out of the water. This was my first time eating here, referal from a friend. I had the sesame chicken and kung pow chicken. Cooked very well and had great flavor. Friendly staff that was actually oriental not kids from the neighborhood cooking. I will be back and will recommend. read more

I was so excited to find this place, less than a minute down the street from home! Because I'm not a big panda express fan, but I love Chinese food. Sadly, I was disappointed. The orange chicken was very stringy and tasteless. The sweet and sour sauce was runny and mostly sour. The wontons were the only decent thing we ate there. I've been looking for a decent Chinese place since moving to Laveen a few months ago. I'm glad I found this place. The food was pretty good and portions were enormous! I ordered a 2-item combo with orange chicken,Kung pow chicken and fried rice/chow mein. The orange chicken was delicious! I also got a side of egg rolls and won ton soup. They were both tasty. So glad to have found this little gem. I'll be back. The only complaint I have is that they forgot to give me my won ton soup and I didn't realize until after I got home. When I went back they were super apologetic about it and it was right there waiting for me. I would recommend this place. Stopped in for some lunch with my son. We ordered Singapore noodle w/ shrimp. BBQ chicken and fried rice and the shrimp fried rice spicy. First- the wait was just too long. Non orders ahead of us, the cooks were like watching paint dry. Unacceptable when a spot is EMPTY. Second- none of the food we ordered impressed me at all. For what I ordered plus two can soda the order was damn near $30. Too expensive for a hood take out restaurant. Lastly- when you order something "spicy" you should get just that. Not the chili oil put in a container on the side. I didn't order "spicy on thya side". I ordered spicy shrimp fried rice five and spicy Singapore noodles". This makes me so mad. Especially considering the food was so expensive. And no damn ice. Never again. I only come to part of town to go to the hair supply store. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Just wanted to take the time to come on here and let you know that I came to red dragon today 9/28/21 in the morning to order orange chicken with chow mein and rice and I usually don't check the plate at this restaurant because it is always good and my brother comes here all the time and his chicken is fantastic. So I got home and opened my plate to chicken that was super dry no sauce on it and hard. Therefore I had to drive back to let the lady in the front (cashier) and she was very rude, kept telling me that it isn't dry and she don't know what I'm talking about. I opened the plate and showed her look at that dry hard chicken so then she asked if I wanted a refund instead of offering a fresh plate. I had to tell her can I have a fresh plate. She goes back to tell the ladies in the back and they are all looking at me laughing like as if she was making fun of me. So then she brings out 1 piece to show me the chicken she has and you could definitely see a different in the look and taste. But she kept speaking to me in a rude way even though I wasn't even rude about the situation even though I had a bad day already and just wanted to eat a great meal. She then made me a fresh meal. Buyer BEWARE...I use to order food from this restaurant back in 2015 & 2016 and I really liked it. Buttt, I recently placed a large order there for me and my family and we got bowls of onions. There were 2 pieces of beef in each bowl with gravy and tons of onions (which I really do not care for, by the way). We called to complain and got no reimbursement of any kind. We were told this is the way they make the mongolian beef now. Buyers Beware.. I think this is the way they are recouping the money they are losing. Should have checked yelp before I stopped in. The food looked edible enough from the outside. I ordered a Kung Pao chicken from the rude staff. Got it home, opened it up, and the smell was off and the chicken did not even look right. I took one bite and had to immediately spit it back into the box, tasted almost rancid. I am SURE I would have been sick had I actually consumed any of the food!!!! Panda Express across the street seems like high end gourmet compared to this dump! Avoid at all costs!!! read more
