I had a friend ask me for a tailor recently and I had a recommendation-- but I also wanted to be clear to remind them not to use this tailor. I know my initial review was in 2016 but realized I never updated this review to remind everyone that I was bribed to remove my review and then told I would be compensated for the ruined alterations despite note removing my review (because I think people should know the behavior of this owner)- and to this date (5 years later) I have never been compensated- so of course that was a lie from him hoping I would remove my review (he removed my review from Facebook somehow- dishonest as he is) and never took responsibility for his actions. This guy is not trustworthy at all. So when he does good work he does fine work per other reviews- but if he messes up it is an absolute nightmare and will never acknowledge his poor business practices and shady behavior. read more

They do great work, plain and simple. They've done simple fixes for hems and buttons for me and far more complicated work on dresses as well. They'll work with you til it looks how you want it to. And they turn stuff around stuff pretty dang quick! read more

If you are one to support local business, this is definitely one to support. The people are very friendly and listen to what your needs are for clothing alterations. Prices and turnaround time are VERY reasonable (I dropped off a pair of tux pants that needed a hem...$10 and it was done within a week). HIGHLY recommend. I have never had a more upsetting or disgraceful experience with a local business before. I brought in a bridesmaid dress to be altered. I normally go to Anna's Tayloring in UA but was afraid she couldn't get my dress done in time...so, I dropped my dress off, was told it would be over 100.00 to have it hemmed and the side let out an inch. Didn't care because I NEEDED the dress done by the 19th. Went to pick it up today...no dress...the owner gave my dress to someone else. When I stood there, incredulous, he offered no word of apology nor did he seem to have an inkling that this could be a potential customer service NIGHTMARE. He told me multiple times that my husband had just picked it up!!! I had my claim check, and after about 10 minutes, he finally located the dress that matched the charge slip for the dress that was SUPPOSED to be taken. In other words, the last name of the persons credit card slip, matched the dress that was still there.I saw the slip and punched the number into my cell. Immediately, I phoned and texted the person. Meanwhile, the owner, just shrugged and said, "I am sure they will bring the dress back". Well, yes, I thought, but still...major inconvenience and such an arrogant attitude. The person who took my dress texted back,,and said that her husband was on his way with my dress...relief! She and I both agreed that we would NOT ever use him again and SHE said that no apology was offered. I returned to the shop about an hour later. The owner was not apologetic, and when I pointed out that this was really poor customer service, he STILL was not apologetic and said that it was the fault of the husband who picked up the dress, AND went on that it was somehow MY FAULT!!!!! I said that he needed a different claim check system and that the shop itself seemed very disorganized. He took immediate offense and continued to insist that this he was in no way at fault. Now I am 48 years old, shit happens, but don't be a rude arrogant sob to me...I asked for a discount. I took my dress that was hanging and placed it in my arms...we argued about the price and when I said adamantly that I would pay half (-at this point I am PISSED) he grabbed the dress from my arms, threw it behind him, picked up the phone and said he was calling the police. I immediately went behind him and picked up my dress, as he's trying to SWING AT ME, and he grabs the dress and we are literally playing tug of war with the dress. He's still on the phone, with the supposed "police" and at this point I am done...he's ranting at this point, saying, "I accused him" of I don't even know what...I am screaming at this point,"I will pay you" and waving my credit card...I just wanted OUT OF THIS LOWLIFE'S SHOP!!!! He ran the transaction...you better believe I had some choice words for him...as I pushed the door open, he HE PROCEEDS TO SPIT ON ME. My youngest son, who is 17 and tall, witnesses his mom being SPIT ON BY THIS LOWLIFE and gets out of the car...the owner is standing at the door BAITING MY SON INTO A FIGHT. I AM EMOTIONAL AND YELLING AT MY SON TO JUST GET BACK IN THE CAR!!!! This guy is a loose cannon. This is the third YELP review I have ever left, and the first neg one...I cannot emphasize enough that I would not give this guy ANY BUSINESS. SO DISRESPECTFUL, and SUCH A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR ANY TYPE OF PROFESSIONALISM!!! I am just feeling relieved I got my dress and got out of that shop unscathed...thank GOD he did not have a firearm. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO USE THIS PLACE!!! IT TOOK MY SON AND I A GOOD HOUR TO CALM DOWN. Wow, just amazed by some people's actions. So sad and so hateful. I needed a pair of pants hemmed and tapered before a wedding. I got my quote within the hour on Yelp and dropped them off the same day, measuring took about 5-10 minutes. When I returned to pick them up they were slightly too tight in the calves, he was able to fix them in about 10 minutes and I was on my way. Will definitely be back. read more

So I needed to get alterations done on a formal gown. Nothing major, just hemming and adding some beads that fell off. They were able to finish in a few days which was nice, but they didn't tell me when it was finished. Also it was kinda expensive, I've had similar alterations done before at other places and Red Carpet was at least $50 more expensive. read more

Red carpet alterations completely saved our wedding! I originally went to Inha for my dress alterations and she did an incredible job. My dress was a size too large (the smaller size was much too small), and she was able to take it in all over and completely fit it to my body. Then, less than a week before our wedding, my husband got his suit back from Nordstrom only to find that their tailors did an absolutely terrible job. I called red carpet alterations in a panic and Ali told us to come in so that he could look at it. He was able to do an emergency rush job to fix Nordstrom's countless sloppy errors in three days and did absolutely beautiful work! Their prices are a little high, and he did of course charge us for expedited work, however I think good alterations should be budgeted into the cost of your wedding gown/suit anyway. Their work is impeccable and they are extremely detail oriented and talented. I highly recommend them for any wedding garments, as well as an emergency fix! read more

I needed it done within 24 hours due to leaving town for a wedding and he altered my outfit on the spot - 20 minutes in and out! I took my bridesmaid dress to get shortened and some pants to get a hole sewn up. There's a room where you can try on your clothes to show what you want altered. I was pleased they had my stuff ready about a week sooner than they quoted me. I'm happy with the work they did. The bridesmaid dress was $55 and fixing the hole in my pants was $5. I contacted Alaa on Tuesday to see if he could hem my bridesmaid dress for me before I left to a wedding that Friday. He got back to me within the hour to see when I was able to come in. It probably took about ten minutes for me to try the dress on so he caun see how much was needed to be hemmed. He was able to get it done that morning and he did a wonderful job with the dress. Brought in two of my favorite pants in the world to be shortened by a few inches each. They originally said 2 weeks, but I asked if it would be possible to have them done in 1 week. They said most likely but to call a week later. Today (1 week after I brought the pants in), I called and the pants were ready! I called panicked on Saturday at 4, was seen by 4:30, and had my dress PERFECTLY altered by 10am Thursday. $50 for less than a week turn around and a perfect fit, definitely worth it. Love this place! Had two dresses and a cardigan worked on here. My cardigan was a chunky knit and was in pretty bad disrepair however they worked miracles here and it looks brand-new! I had straps shortened on a sundress also and a velvet floorlength dress hemmed to above the knees. Everything turned out wonderful in about three weeks. I even noticed a loose hem around the waist of the velvet dress I didn't notice when I dropped it off; when I came back to pick my clothes up. He was able to fix it while I waited! So happy with the results of this little place. I made the mistake of ordering a pair of dress-pants online and last minute before a big meeting. I panicked when I got them as I was practically swimming in them, and needed them for the next day. I messaged Ali through yelp, he told me to bring them in the morning and he'd take care of it. The next morning I dropped off the pants, he had to take in both sides, the back and hem them, and for half of what I expected to be charged, he had them ready, and tailored beautifully within 3 hours! I am so impressed and thankful and will definitely be back again!! I have a nice off-the-rack suit but the only thing is it doesn't fit me well. So I take it to Red Carpet Alteration, they take in the waist, shorten the sleeves, tape the sleeves and hemmed the pants for $58. Overall I am very satisfied with their alteration. I brought in my wedding dress to have a few alterations done. I had a few very minor wholes in the lace overlay, the straps needed to be taken in (simple spaghetti straps), a piece of lace reattached along the bottom, and a bustle put in. The lady convinced me to have her do a lot of other work. She let the bodice out in several places, hemmed it, retook in the bodice, and cut the boning. The work was decent; I've seen worse and better. The big problem came when it was time to pay. The original quote was $230. I know she did more work than the original quote, but imagine the surprise when the bill came in at over $700. I never approved that bill. She just kept working. In the beginning, I said I didn't want to mess with the bodice because I wanted to lose a few pounds. Well, she let it out then took it back in after I asked her to just leave it alone. She kept doing work that I never really approved. Work was decent, but not worth what was charged. read more

I had two simple cotton knit tunics hemmed and Red Carpet Alterations charged me $43. The most I have ever paid for such an easy, straightforward hem is $10. I asked why it was so expensive and the woman replied, "My machine is expensive." The work is fine, easy, but not worth the exorbitant pricing. I would also appreciate up front pricing and a sign listing prices as opposed to this shocker at pickup. read more
