I had three pairs of slacks hemmed here last November. They were identical styles, but different colors. I wore one pair and they seemed a little off. I took them off and measured the inseams of the legs - one leg was a full inch longer than the other! Measured the other two pairs and they also were off by 1/2 inch. Basically out of six pant legs, only two measured the same length, and those were too long! I tried to take them back to have them fixed, but the owner had closed the store for an extended period while she was out of the country. I didn't want to wait six weeks to be able to wear my pants so had to have them fixed by another tailor. I brought my paperwork in to discuss with the owner and request that she refund my money, which she flatly refused to do. She said I should have taken them back to her to fix - which I explained that I had tried to do! We were at an impasse. But I know one thing - I will never be going back! TERRIBLE experience and still angry that I had to pay twice to have these slacks hemmed properly. I've hemmed my own pants before, and it's just not that hard to do!! read more

Needed a floor length dress hemmed for a dance performance. Prices were reasonable at $20 for my simple hem, and you can actually pay less if you use cash. I assume you don't pay tax because my bill was only $1.70 more (since I don't actually carry cash anymore). The owner did a fantastic job, and I trusted her from the moment I walked in since she was friendly and welcoming, giving the mama bear vibes like she'll take care of you. I sought her opinion as she took measurements and was really grateful for her expertise. My dress fit perfectly after the alteration and was ready on the day we agreed upon, which was 7 business days later. If you need her to alter your piece in a faster time frame, she will charge more, but within reason. She definitely earned my business and I've already recommended her shop to all my dance friends! read more

There are not enough stars to give this shop!!!!!!! I have one and a half arms so getting my stuff tailored can be a pain sometimes. I took my brand new winter jacket here and she altered it Amazingly! The woman kept all of the inner lining/glove cuffs of my jacket intact. I hated my new hood on my jacket sooo much i had the gal take my hood off my old jacket and put it on the new one I highly recommend this shop to anybody for any tailoring needs! I was in desperate need of a tailor due to a button falling out of a blazer that I only wore twice! I was going to wear the jacket for film that I was going to be in (very small role) and had no time to shop for a new jacket. I found this listing on yelp and was told that I could bring in my jacket and they could work on it same day and get it back to me. Got there and it literally took them 10 minutes and I was done but what makes this interaction over the top was the total 6.00! You see I didn't have change and was planning on using my debit card to pay, the owner explained due to small amount he wouldn't be able to swipe it and that cash would be accepted. I offered to have him hold onto the jacket while I looked for a nearby atm machine to get the cash out but he declined. Instead he told me to just bring it in whenever I had the time. I had a great experience with Tremont Tailoring. Nouphone was able to accept my bridesmaid dress alteration (needed taken in) at short notice. Each visit was quick and I never had to wait - I appreciated the individual attention. She took care of my dress and I was a little nervous that it was going to be too tight but it stayed up all night (was strapless) and it looked amazing. You couldn't even tell that it was altered. This shop is amazing and the owner is a MIRACLE WORKER (and extremely friendly). Two weeks before my sister's wedding and my dress did NOT fit. I took it to one tailor who told me it was impossible to fix in time and nothing could be done. She also quoted me an INSANE price if there had been time to get it done. Panicked, I took it to Tremont upon a recommendation by my other sister (who also had her dress altered there). Not only did the owner get my dress done on time, she got it done EARLY. And the cost was about 1/6 what the other tailor had quoted me. She listened to everything I had to say and altered my dress to make me look and feel fabulous. She went above and beyond and tailored it down to where it needed to be (it looked great) and she gave me a great deal compared to any other place.
