Triple Delight!
Sharon W.

Quick, friendly and efficient service. The food is fresh and flavorful as always. When I explained I had to limit my sodium, the kind waiter offered to prepare my chicken with mixed vegetables without msg without sacrificing any flavor. Very helpful and deeply appreciated!

Red Bowl

What a great experience I'm born in Brooklyn living in LA visiting so my brother he took me to the Red Bowl Chinese Restaurant. He praised everything about the Establishment and he was right. The service is excellent and beautiful Big fish tank to look at, and the food was absolutely delicious right on the money. I had the combination fried rice the house rice the chicken was excellent and my brother got broccoli and beef, dessert was good pistachio cake out of this world. I would highly recommend this wonderful Chinese Restaurant for people who love good food and great service I hope you enjoy my pictures and I will probably be there maybe tomorrow or the next day five stars.

Margarita
Cris T.

I came in tonight to order pan fried pork dumplings (fried on both sides) and pork fried rice to go. While my food was being prepared, I ordered a spicy margarita on the rocks with salt. It was amazing! I stood at the bar and took notice how clean the bar top was and how everything looked clean. The price was right and my food was amazing. The staff is friendly and I can't say more about the place. If you haven't check this place out, you're missing out.

Chicken bao bun... I mean what are we talking about? "Chicken bao buns are a popular dish featuring fluffy, steamed Chinese buns filled with a variety of chicken preparations, sauces, and fresh garnishes. The chicken can be prepared in various ways, including crispy fried, pulled, or ground and seasoned. " Well.. we are talking about Red Bowl's Chicken Bao buns that are lip smacking delicious fluffy cloud bun with choices of fried chicken, Kaarage like prepared, or pork belly bao. All baos come with 2 pieces and greens;, the crack sauce that comes with the fried chicken adds a kick. The veggie lo Mein was also delicious; packed with broccoli, onions and carrots. The portion is enough for two people and if solo, there will be leftovers. Their egg roll is consistently crispy and delicious accompanied by a fire engine hot mustard and sweet duck sauce. Scrumptious indeed! Red Bowl is consistently delicious whether I'm dining in or ordering delivery. This review is for delivery; and the food is equally delicious compared to dining in. We know some restaurants delivery is a totally different one from in person. Red Bowl is opened until 10pm most days so if you have a cravingggg.. you know who to call! RB is located on 8518 Third Avenue

One of my favorite spots in Bay Ridge! The food and service is consistently phenomenal and the prices cannot be beat. Really beautiful restaurant with a great menu of delicious bites!!

Pork with Garlic Sauce
Tory L.

Very upscale Chinese American spot in Bay Ridge. Pricey but the food quality is tremendous. I will declare them the best Scallion Cakes I have ever had, they have a flaky, almost pastry quality and are not overly greasy like many of them tend to be. The General Tsos chicken is nice chunks of white meat chicken with a sauce that doesnt go into the cloying area that so many do. The Pork in Garlic sauce has very fork tender pieces of pork and the veggies are all great quality. The Hot and Sour soup is perfect for when you feel youre coming down with a cold in all its sinus clearing goodness. The Chicken Wings were meaty and well made i went with the Soy Garlic ones. The only item i wasnt crazy over was the eggrolls which I didnt feel were crisp enough and filling was 95% cabbage. Only issues I have with them is not having Combination Platters like virtually every other Chinese American pot and the prices are really high which makes them more a splurge than the average Chinese spot. Overall tho this is a very solid place.

After the pandemic, the quality of many American Chinese food places around Bay Ridge went down. This is the only place that doesn't upset my stomach afterward. Whether it's dining in or ordering out, this is a safe and cleanly place if you don't feel like taking any risks.

Mongolian beef
Latiful A.

Came by lunch. Service was great, ambience is tradition diner with Asian influences (cozy). Our dishes varied from good to great to excellent. Highly recommended the soups and Mongolian beef. Fried rices were great. Vegetables used were fresh and salt level was perfect. Certainly, a repeat type of establishment.

This place did not disappoint! This is was our 2nd time coming as a family and we all loved dining here. I personally loved their orange chicken and crab rangoon. Their chicken was fresh and was super tasty! Very crunchy and it hit the spot! Crab rangoon- was very crunchy! It had a bit too much of mayonnaise but did the job! Overall, my family and I were impressed with the service. They were helpful and attentive. We loved their ambience-they decorated for chinese new year and my family took a lot of photos! At the end they would give us fortune cookies and their fruit of the day. Tip: if you pay in cash you wont have to pay the extra fee for card.

Shrimp with cashews delicious
Pamela E.

Shrimp with cashews was EXCELLENT. Egg roll and won ton soup were awful. Received shrimp rolls instead of rock shrimp and didn't realize it and failed to check receipt to see what I was charged for. When we asked to get everything to go, they never wrapped up our white rice that we paid for. Service very good. Won't go back.

My boyfriend was especially blown by the snow pea shoots. I wanted more noodles. I did not feel heavy after all the fool. It did not taste greasy. I can not wait to go back. We ordered the fried eggplant accordion which was tender on the inside with a crisp exterior. I don't think I was a fan of the sweet-sour sauce though (just my preference) as it seemed sweeter than I'd like. Service was prompt enough. Plenty of seating but busy and popular nonetheless. I'd try it again and if I wasn't a wimp with spicy food I'm sure heat-adventurers would enjoy this! My FAVORITE was the Dan Dan noodles. I highly recommend this one. Can't go wrong. The sauce blended evenly with the thin noodles. It was less "greasy" than previous Dan Dan noodles I've had elsewhere.

The food is why we are all here and this place did not miss! We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation and it was a Sunday night. We were told the specials for the night with great detail, we snagged one of the last soup dumplings and they are incredible. The only other place I've had soup dumplings as good is in flushing - that's high praise from this queens girl. Next up we ordered the scallion pancakes - which ruined all other scallion pancakes for me. They were ultra crispy and flaky. The dipping sauce was deeply flavorful and the portion was perfect. We also ordered the chicken wantons that came in a chili crisp oil and peanut sauce, delicious. The pork noodles were the secret star because the description was pretty straight forward. But my partner is a chef and insisted we get them. They were some of the best noodles I've ever had. Definitely made in house and they were coated in a flavorful sauce. The crispy garlic chicken was so good that I had to take it to go because we were stuffed, still amazing the next day. Food was decent and there are a lot of options on the menu. Would I come here again? Maybe to try their rice dishes after reading other reviews, but I wouldn't come back for the tomato based hot pot. Ambiance 3/5: A little chaotic. A lot of kids (middle or high schoolers) probably because of the cheaper prices and according to other reviews a discount with student ID. Another large party came in and started moving tables around and people that appeared to be regulars seated themselves. Service 4/5: We were seated immediately at a table for 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. It became busier towards the end of our lunch and it was hard flagging someone to bring us a check. Food 4/5: Decent. Main selling point is its affordability. I regret not looking at other reviews before coming here as people say their rice dishes are pretty good. We got their pre-made tomato hot pot soup base, GF got the original soup base, and some stir fried potatoes. - Tomato hot pot 3/5: I did like this at first. Not sure if the saltiness of our appetizer overpowered the flavors of the soup but it started to taste too sweet (kind of like ketchup?). Slightly disappointed at that. I tried the original soup base and like it more so probably pick another base if you come here. No complaints about the ingredients you get to add though, those were delicious. I chose Udon, fatty beef, fish filet, honeycomb tripe, and enoki mushrooms. - Stir fried potatoes 4/5: They look like fries but they're not crispy. Very flavorful though; salty and spicy.
