Stopped by with my family (table of 4) for a Monday night dinner and we had a great time! The restaurant is very well decorated and has a lot of seating options. There are booths and tables available. The chairs are also super plush and comfy! There is a full bar and a few booth seating tables in the front section of the restaurant. In the back is a larger dining area that is capable of holding larger parties. Also there is a party room available! The women's bathroom is also super clean. There is a large counter if you need to touch up your makeup and a large full length mirror for outfit checks. I had the Lychee Martini, which was recommended by the staff. It is one of the most popular curated cocktails there and I can totally see why! It's not overly sweet. My brother enjoyed the malt beer from Suntory. It's a specialty beer there as only a few restaurants in NYC have it! As for the food, my family and I ordered the Fried Calamari to start. It's lightly fried with some peppers and crispy shallots. One of my favorite things of the night! For the entrees, we shared the Spicy Sichuan Cumin Lamb, Mongolian Beef, Triple Delight Pan Fried Noodles, and the Snow Pea Sprouts sauteed with garlic. The Spicy Cumin Beef isn't overly spicy but be careful because there are larger peppers on the dish. The more you eat the more the spice builds. My mom really enjoyed the texture of the beef dish. She said it was smooth and not chewy, which can be hard to achieve at home. Everything was super tasty and not salty! We were full at the end of the meal but didn't feel greasy and bloated afterwards. If you can't come for dinner, there is a lunch special available as well. The owners, David and Vivian, are some of the nicest you will ever meet. They really know how to take care of their customers. I went to Red Bowl in December, 2024, with family. Being vegan, I ordered Cold Sesame Noodle and Sautéed Mixed Vegetables in Garlic Sauce, which isn't on the menu. The Cold Noodle was very good (it's my litmus test for a Chinese restaurant) and the Mixed Vegetables were EXCELLENT! The portions are nicely sized, but I could have been greedy and eaten another serving, it was that good. Service was very pleasant and attentive, and the overall ambiance of the space is relaxed, clean, comfortable, and the bathroom is good. I live about two hours away, but I'm going back to Red Bowl. read more

Red Bowl is stellar. Solid fresh food every single time. Dishes do not come overly sauced but perfectly balanced. Vegetables are steamed perfect. The amount of shrimp they give you with the shrimp fried rice is at least an entire small bowl full, which is more than most restaurants. Quality here for sure. The color scheme and decor of this place was beautiful, even in the bathroom. If you have to use it, i would recommend checking out the downstairs restroom. Very very sexy. This restaurant opened about 2 plus years ago, my wife and I have ordered a lot of takeout and were very happy with the quality of the food and serving size. One of our favorites is the Cold Sesame Noodles, one of the best we have had in Brooklyn. We have gone there for both lunch and dinner and have been happy with our food orders and service. Be aware that they get very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, my suggestion is to call ahead for reservations. Easy to get to the location, it is decorated nicely and very clean. Ok. The only reason why I give it a solid 3, is because they made my food without MSG (or they said they did)... The food was good. Don't get me wrong. But not like super amazing great food. Another reason I'm annoyed is because they didn't give me the crispy chips to dip in duck sauce to-go. They charged me $2, and I made a stink because they didn't even tell me they were charging me. Had lunch here today for the first time. I enjoyed the food, but as wife said today.... "I've NEVER really had BAD chicken and broccoli in my life anywhere." I can't disagree. The starter scallion pancake was more flakey than what I'm used to but still very tasty. Wine was $10/ glass, and they have a unique Pilsner that has it's self contained fridge, and is made by the people at Suntory whisky. One of only 3 places in Brooklyn that carry it. I'm not longer a big beer drinker, but this was just the right match. The regular size entrée was MORE than enough for us to share, with some left over to take home. While the food is good, it was the owner (didn't catch her name) and the remainder of the staff (I would say TIGHT team) that puts this place over the top! I'd come back just to sit and chat. I think the room is actually gorgeous and tasteful. Including the bar stools and lighting. Pristine 4K Samsung television at the bar is also something other places just let "age out". The place is very spacious inside and very nice decor, they also had outdoor seating out back. We ordered the lunch special which was a very good deal for the amount of food you get.
