Moist and a generous serving of diced lamb topped with a tomato and cucumber salad. So zesty and fresh! I called them after we ate to complement their food. Personally, their drinks don't meet my boba expectations. The sugar level for the drinks are perfect! They don't over sweeten their drinks. The first time I came here, I ordered a passionfruit yogurt green tea with bubbles. It was pretty good for the price at the time ($3) and how close it was to my house. I decided to go back whenever I have bubble tea cravings since it was a 3-minute walk. The second time I got a honey lemon green tea and that was pretty standard. Their prices went up to $3.50, but still cheaper than other bubble tea shops in the area. As long as it was good, I'll be back. The third time I wanted to try their milky drinks so I went for the Thai Milk Tea. Based on my past experiences with Halal Xpress, their bubble teas were always good since their bubbles had the right chewiness. However, their Thai milk tea was very gross. It tasted like water mixed with a lot of condensed milk. I'm an avid bubble tea lover, but I couldn't even finish half of this drink. It was overwhelmingly sweet and had little to no tea taste. That's not the Thai milk tea I'm familiar with, even if it's powdered Thai milk tea. The restaurant itself seems really sanitary and clean though. I have yet to try the food here as it seems to be priced up because it's halal approved. Maybe one day I'll be experimental and try it. But for now, I'll take my bubble tea business elsewhere. read more

There is one place that I trust and that's No pork halal on Atlantic Avenue and unfortunately it's so far from Bensonhurst to visit frequently. I recently found out that Halal Xpress is somehow related to no pork halal restaurant and decided to give it a try. And I was not disappointed! I ordered food from them for the first time on ubereats. The order was quickly prepared and surprisingly they delivered it all the way to east Flatbush. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli in brown sauce and it was delicious and not watered down like most Chinese restaurants. I also got a order of four chicken wings which were tasty but could've been cooked a little bit longer. The outside was very crispy but inside was sort of pink still. So took an alternate route home to buy some Megamillion lottery tickets and stumbled upon this new-to-me gem. Let's just say even if I don't hit the jackpot financially, I'll still be a winner from finding this place. I ordered the beef teriyaki and popcorn chicken w/fries. Both were great in taste and portions. There was almost a lb. each of fries and chicken for $7 and the Teriyaki was a full serving each of rice/meat/salad w/ a miso soup. Tastewise the beef was just the right balance of sweet and salty, unlike the all the too common trend of too much of either or none at all. Salad was, well, salad but I took notice of the full baby tomatoes. The popcorn chicken was pretty solid too, good batter to meat ratio for good crunch and good mix of salty/sweet flavor. The fries, I swear tastes just like Five Guys in the best possible way because feels less greasy to me. I got it to go but the dine in area looks pretty warm and spacious while I was waiting. Decided to try this spot after passing by a few times and we got the sesame chicken, garlic wings, fried wings, buffalo wings, beef and broccoli, beef lo mein, spring rolls, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and French fries. They didn't have the chicken teriyaki or lamb dumplings but I'm not sure if it was just that night. Everything tasted good and I would order them all again except the spring rolls, beef lo mein, and buffalo wings, which are super red like hot Cheetos and super duper spicy but with good flavor. The garlic wings weren't what we expected but tasted like Korean honey garlic chicken wings, which I liked. When we got there, the food was ready and it looked like there were a couple of delivery people waiting inside. You pay through a little acrylic box and get the food through another large box like at the post office for staff safety reasons. It was nice that they offered and gave us plates to use. This is a take out experience. Restaurant is very clean. Ordering easy and cashier guide you with patience. I ordered general tso's chicken, shrimp, mixed vegetables, chicken wings and buffalo wings. Some with fries, some with fried rice. They have white rice option too and no extra charge for fried rice. All of them are delicious. I really liked their to-go containers. High quality microwaveable and reusable plastic. Another good thing they put them in a paper bags. If you care about environment I love you guys.
