Lovely local Chinese Restaurant. I've been dining here for awhile and it's nice to know that the quality has been consistently great even after the pandemic. My go to is chicken and broccoli with brown sauce and white rice. They make it the same way my mom used to make it which makes me feel at home. Horribl food not what I expected,I figured I'd give it a chance after realizing I ordered from the wrong place a minute later. I felt bad the women taking the order/the owner said she already started cooking it.I would like to submit some photos as proof,I am very disappointed I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings and fried shrimp dumplings with spicy peanut sauce.both orders were steamed there are NO shrimp in the dumplings,it is more like a cabbage vegetable dumpling.I called up and asked if she could change it and she argued with me and told me everybody's happy I'm the only one that complained.that being said you would think that she would take the loss which is not much for some wonton wrap with a little bit of vegetable but refused to do anything about it.I spent $50 I applied a five dollar coupon towards it which started another Argument.Owners tells me I was trying to get free food because I use the coupon that she claims they don't have but it's clearly on the website.five dollars off $35 .I offered to send the food back I only ate one dumpling from each order.. In fact, I just ordered from here again tonight, and was really enjoying my food (and of course thinking "I'm totally gonna update my Yelp review of Xing Wong and let the masses know that it's still as good as ever!"), ...until... the photo I uploaded above happened. A bug actually crawled out of my white rice, to the surface, and I almost vomited. Shortly thereafter, my fiancee pulled a hair out of his shrimp with cashews. What happened, Xing Wong?! Ordered delivery from here recently and would call what we received passable. We got moo shu chicken, cold noodle with sesame sauce, and chicken with asparagus in garlic sauce, and it was all a little bit on the bland side. The moo shu was the most watery of any I've ever had, and mostly seemed like sauteed chicken and cabbage. The container of rice that came with the order was tiny. I don't usually expect that much from Americanized Chinese food, but we've definitely had better versions of everything we ordered from many other places. On top of that, we mentioned in the specific instructions allergies and intolerances to certain ingredients and asked that they not be included in the dishes, and while they weren't, it was clear that they didn't fully clean out the woks between dishes (not uncommon for Chinese restaurants) as there were bits of those ingredients scattered in the dishes we did get. I love ordering food from this place, the delivery is so fast, the food is always very good and the prices are great. Wishing yelp had the option of half-stars, yet again... 'cause I'd give Xing Wong another half a star. It's not gross; it's not great. It's OK, if you want quick Chinese food. It's not exceptional, however, and I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. We ended up here 'cause it was pretty late, and they're open till 11pm or so, unlike many of the places in the neighborhood. It's mainly a takeout place, but it's got a few tables, and some Chinese decor which left a... pink, plastic... impression. Delivery was fast, however food was not good. I ordered one of their appetizer specials, and everything was just bland and stale. The crab rangoon was not good at all, neither was the egg roll. The only thing that was decent was maybe the boneless ribs and the wings, but how can you really mess those up? New customer here. My meals from this place have been good so far; but then again I haven't ordered anything fancy where I can really size up their competence. I have observed that prices are slightly lower than elsewhere in the neighborhood. I will say that I appreciate this, too: out of all the generic Chinese places up-and-down these blocks, Xing Wong is one of the few places which is clean and pleasant-enough looking that you might actually care to sit down and eat. This is saying a lot in Bay Ridge. The furnishings are nice, although garish as usual in that strange Chinese way. Loud colors and eye-numbing patterns. Still, the booths are huge, comfy, and padded, (not even a single rip or tear in the vinyl). Seats, surfaces and floors are clean, sturdy, and professional ...unlike so many other joints which can only boast a few crummy wobbly tables and splintery chairs. Huge fishbowl of beautiful quoi on the counter! And a very cute young Chinese girl takes your order. Cheerful and bubbly. Fluent in English. All in all, this place has merit. In one of my living the single girl life in NY moments I decided to spend a weekend night in and order Chinese food. I picked this place because it was close and accepted online orders from grubhub.com (because it's always better for the ego to order an insane amount of food for yourself online than actually saying it outloud!). Turns out it was a good choice! I had the Kung pao (I got medium not knowing how spicy it would be, but definitely going for the spicy next time) chicken fried rice, white rice, won ton soup, and they threw in a lil surprise pudding dessert (yum!). It's a hidden hole in Brooklyn and I definitely recommend their sweet applesticks; simply heaven sent. The curry chicken wings are definitely my favorite; and their sesame chicken with brocoli is out of this world. The customer service is great; the lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile and politely took my order and the seating was clean and orderly. If you know what to expect from a Chinese delivery place, this is one of the best choices. Delivery is very fast, they make my favorite dishes better than most other similar places, they are pleasant so while in Bay Ridge I would always choose them if I craved something like a plate of Singapore Mei Fun. Also, compared to other similar places there is also a decent dining-in area. A little funny anecdote: While they are very fast, organized etc that seems to be true mostly for while the lady owner is there. A few times when she was not there, the (male) staff seemed completely lost at sea, struggling with everything!
