Yesterday was my second time in two consecutive weeks that I have visited Hala Xpress and let me tell you this place have not disappointed me yet. The place is very clean, friendly staff, air conditioned, plenty of space to sit and eat, gender neutral restroom clean and smells fresh and the food absolutely delicious. It is a blessing to find a tasty, healthy and genuine Asian Halal place in Brooklyn. I would recommend there Taiwanese Chicken Popcorn which were also spicy (if you chose it) and crispy. The Chicken Curry with Vegetables were extremely good beware though they are very spicy and it will make you sweat. Also recommend there Chicken Dumpling (fried) and Ginger Chicken. And if you are looking for a healthier side you can order brown rice and I guaranteed they will keep you full. Will visit this place again next week :) read more

Finally a good HALAL Chinese spot. We got fried shrimp, fried boneless chicken, and chicken with broccoli (came with a side of rice). Portions were big which was great! Wasn't really a fan of the boneless chicken but everything else was delicious. To top it off this place has bubble tea which makes it even better. read more

Food is really good. Lots of flavor with no MSG added. Had the Chicken over rice. Chicken was flavorful & crispy without being to oily. Portions are big. One order is enough for 2 people. However a bit pricey especially if ordering for delivery through Grubhub. Wish they would get their own delivery guy so the extra cost won't tack on through 3rd party delivery services. My go to spot for Halal Chinese....actually my only spot as it's so much better then the other "Halal Chinese".....they actually do it a lot better then the 4th Ave spot in downtown Brooklyn who I believe is a family member of the owner. When you ask for spicy they make it spicy which is a huge plus....the only down point is they close on Monday which is my day-off so haven't visited in a while. Chicken teriyaki is one of my favorite fast-food meals and was keen to try this place after moving to the neighborhood recently. Came here on a Sunday night and ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken. Honestly feel like portions could have been slightly better (half the plate was salad) but the taste of the chicken and the fried rice was good, salad was basic but fresh. This restaurant is an offshoot of No Pork Halal Kitchen right outside Atlantic Av. train stop, a classic and real working class joint. I've been going there since I was a child and am delighted to know that they've opened up shop in my neighborhood. They do not have a lunch special, but the prices aren't anything beyond what you would find post-lunch special hours. Got stuck because the nearby dim sum shops were jammed and this place wasn't -- should've taken the hint. Contrary to the signage, there's no "fusion" here, just Chinese-American takeout, and not a good rendition of it either. Tried teriyaki chicken, cut thin and overcooked, hence tough and dried out. Apart from a very slight sweetness there was no discernible teriyaki flavor. Fried rice was greasy with an off taste, like too much oil reused too many times. Didn't get sick from it, but won't be trying my luck again, ever. Oh, and why does such a tiny place need a gimmicky pager system anyway? read more

Finding both authentic and halal chinese food is not easy but Halal Xpress got it! I loved the large selection of choices but for my first visit, I had the Spring Rolls, Vegetable Fried Rice and Shrimp with Broccoli Garlic Sauce, and Plain Fried Rice and Beef with Curry Sauce. It all tasted delicious and better than I expected- love that they serve plain fried rice along with the dishes. There was also an abundant amount of food for only 4 people- from extra shrimp to fortune cookies! I ordered in-person and the food was quickly prepared while the staff was nice. Unfortunately, I could not have that dining experience at the restaurant due to the covid surge but it was still nice to know that takeout and pickup is available while safety measures are taken here. I wish Halal Xpress was closer to where I live haha but, definitely hope to go back there soon and perhaps, try their other location in Queens. read more

Food is really good here compare to other Chinese restaurant near by. Regard to their food quality , presentation of the food and the cleanest of the restaurant. and it's a go to place for me.
