Chicken Lo Mein (white meat) Mongolian Beef General T'so Chicken Vegetable Fried Rice

Basic Chinese takeout with generous portion sizes. I wish it was less oily but it's fast food at the end of the day. We ordered the General Tso, Mongolian beef, and Chicken Lo Mein. The General Tso was okay but the Lo Mein and Mongolian beef was pretty good. Would try again in the future!

This establishment is right around the corner from me and I'm surprised I haven't set foot until this past Sunday. Long story short, I am actually happy that I live so close and that they are open late whenever I do get hungry late at night and don't want to cook myself. I enjoy the food here. I don't feel heavy or nauseous after eating. I even went here last night to grab a quick bite to take out and I even ordered a Thai Milk Tea w/ Boba and it tasted amazing.

The first time I came here, I ordered a passionfruit yogurt green tea with bubbles. It was pretty good for the price at the time ($3) and how close it was to my house. I decided to go back whenever I have bubble tea cravings since it was a 3-minute walk. The second time I got a honey lemon green tea and that was pretty standard. Their prices went up to $3.50, but still cheaper than other bubble tea shops in the area. As long as it was good, I'll be back. The third time I wanted to try their milky drinks so I went for the Thai Milk Tea. Based on my past experiences with Halal Xpress, their bubble teas were always good since their bubbles had the right chewiness. However, their Thai milk tea was very gross. It tasted like water mixed with a lot of condensed milk. I'm an avid bubble tea lover, but I couldn't even finish half of this drink. It was overwhelmingly sweet and had little to no tea taste. That's not the Thai milk tea I'm familiar with, even if it's powdered Thai milk tea. The restaurant itself seems really sanitary and clean though. I have yet to try the food here as it seems to be priced up because it's halal approved. Maybe one day I'll be experimental and try it. But for now, I'll take my bubble tea business elsewhere.

Delicious and love the decor - their passion fruit bubble tea is slamming - the garlic chicken wings with fried rice - also slamming !!!!' Decor is lovely! This is Deff a place I would sit down and eat in as oppose to other Chinese restaurants where I just wanna go in and out ! I am going to need them to make a SHRIMP ROLL THO!!!! I want to start of by saying that I do not typically eat Chinese food because I'm extremely picky and get grossed out if something is slightly off. There is one place that I trust and that's No pork halal on Atlantic Avenue and unfortunately it's so far from Bensonhurst to visit frequently. I recently found out that Halal Xpress is somehow related to no pork halal restaurant and decided to give it a try. And I was not disappointed! The food was delicious, fresh and well cooked which is big for me ! I had sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice and it was just finger licking good ! You must also try the chicken wings, yum ! They also have great bubble tea drinks, try the Thai milk tea ! The restaurant is brand new, very clean and modern. The staff is great, very polite and very quick service ! I would definitely recommend them !

Phenomenal quality establishment. I didn't remember how amazing they were until I walked in to pick up a large, customized order--and they did Everything Right and served it with a smile. I was blown away by the flavor and the differences between the dishes in our meal. They do not take the kind of shortcuts that other restaurants take that leave everything tasting the same. Your tastebuds will thank you for choosing Halal Xpress for your fix. You'll be impressed.

The place is very clean and orderly. When I went there was a lot of open seats but I took take out. The only issue I had was that the television playing was waaaay too loud. I got the chicken and rice with taro milk tea. The portion was very bug and the packaging was superb. I would go there again if I have time.

Yesterday was my second time in two consecutive weeks that I have visited Hala Xpress and let me tell you this place have not disappointed me yet. The place is very clean, friendly staff, air conditioned, plenty of space to sit and eat, gender neutral restroom clean and smells fresh and the food absolutely delicious. It is a blessing to find a tasty, healthy and genuine Asian Halal place in Brooklyn. I would recommend there Taiwanese Chicken Popcorn which were also spicy (if you chose it) and crispy. The Chicken Curry with Vegetables were extremely good beware though they are very spicy and it will make you sweat. Also recommend there Chicken Dumpling (fried) and Ginger Chicken. And if you are looking for a healthier side you can order brown rice and I guaranteed they will keep you full. Will visit this place again next week :) read more

Finally a good HALAL Chinese spot. We got fried shrimp, fried boneless chicken, and chicken with broccoli (came with a side of rice). Portions were big which was great! Wasn't really a fan of the boneless chicken but everything else was delicious. To top it off this place has bubble tea which makes it even better. read more

My go to spot for Halal Chinese....actually my only spot as it's so much better then the other "Halal Chinese".....they actually do it a lot better then the 4th Ave spot in downtown Brooklyn who I believe is a family member of the owner. When you ask for spicy they make it spicy which is a huge plus....the only down point is they close on Monday which is my day-off so haven't visited in a while. Try the Chilli sauce, it's spicy and on point. read more

Food is really good. Lots of flavor with no MSG added. Had the Chicken over rice. Chicken was flavorful & crispy without being to oily. Portions are big. One order is enough for 2 people. However a bit pricey especially if ordering for delivery through Grubhub. Wish they would get their own delivery guy so the extra cost won't tack on through 3rd party delivery services. Portions are good, no bean sprouts in the fried rice which is a plus! Food is tasty. I'm picky with my food and this didn't disappoint. one thing I did notice is that they add about $5 to each thing if you purchase from Uber eats or other apps like those. read more

Chicken teriyaki is one of my favorite fast-food meals and was keen to try this place after moving to the neighborhood recently. Came here on a Sunday night and ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken. Honestly feel like portions could have been slightly better (half the plate was salad) but the taste of the chicken and the fried rice was good, salad was basic but fresh. Too much teriyaki sauce though. Will return to try something else. read more

This restaurant is an offshoot of No Pork Halal Kitchen right outside Atlantic Av. train stop, a classic and real working class joint. I've been going there since I was a child and am delighted to know that they've opened up shop in my neighborhood. They do not have a lunch special, but the prices aren't anything beyond what you would find post-lunch special hours. The food is fresh, delicious, and most importantly, they do not skimp on portions. This restaurant is as generous as it gets in all respects! read more

It's just not great. at all. $45 bucks down the drain. I mean, literally. When you're throwing away free fried rice and chicken wings- WINGS!!! :( something went wrong. Hubby and I aren't even sure how to explain it but- I just feel... unwell... not sure what else say! Sorry Halal express! Maybe some others like it, we just couldn't! read more

Got stuck because the nearby dim sum shops were jammed and this place wasn't -- should've taken the hint. Contrary to the signage, there's no "fusion" here, just Chinese-American takeout, and not a good rendition of it either. Tried teriyaki chicken, cut thin and overcooked, hence tough and dried out. Apart from a very slight sweetness there was no discernible teriyaki flavor. Fried rice was greasy with an off taste, like too much oil reused too many times. Didn't get sick from it, but won't be trying my luck again, ever. Oh, and why does such a tiny place need a gimmicky pager system anyway? read more

Finding both authentic and halal chinese food is not easy but Halal Xpress got it! I loved the large selection of choices but for my first visit, I had the Spring Rolls, Vegetable Fried Rice and Shrimp with Broccoli Garlic Sauce, and Plain Fried Rice and Beef with Curry Sauce. It all tasted delicious and better than I expected- love that they serve plain fried rice along with the dishes. There was also an abundant amount of food for only 4 people- from extra shrimp to fortune cookies! I ordered in-person and the food was quickly prepared while the staff was nice. Unfortunately, I could not have that dining experience at the restaurant due to the covid surge but it was still nice to know that takeout and pickup is available while safety measures are taken here. I wish Halal Xpress was closer to where I live haha but, definitely hope to go back there soon and perhaps, try their other location in Queens. read more

Food is really good here compare to other Chinese restaurant near by. Regard to their food quality , presentation of the food and the cleanest of the restaurant. and it's a go to place for me. Everything is perfect except their fried rice, it some how greasy, salty , or too bland . Every time it had a different taste beside from that it all good. Also recently their cashier service wasn't really pleasant , that she gave attitude toward customers. Whether when she take your order, or give back your change, and she just kind of threw your Change at the counter. read more

Clean, delicious, and open space seating! They just recently opened and this place already seems to be better than any other chinese takeout close by in the area. The dumplings were juicy and bigggg, general tso chicken was a little on the sweeter side but still crunchy and yummy, and the fried chicken was my favorite!! Highly recommend the chicken wings, best of all its a halal chinese place in Bensonhurst which is very hard to find! Overall happy experience! read more

This is my favorite restaurant of all time! After work I'll always go here and buy food, the food there is really tasty and I really recommend it! The worker was really friendly and nice(good service). Today I went again and I tried out the fried boneless chicken and teriyaki chicken it was really good! Finally a halal asian food house in Bensonhurst. Not only is it the first but it is also very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. A lot of people talking about the chicken teriyaki, I had the lo mein but I will definitely be coming back for the chicken teriyaki next. Give it a go! read more

I never really liked Chinese food before but after ordering the lo mein and sesame chicken from here, I'm starting to really like it. They have a variety of things on the menu and the food is always fresh and well cooked. This is now my go to Chinese restaurant. read more
