Oh man! I'm so glad I re-discovered this place! Our usual go-to Chinese take-out was closed on a Monday, and I remembered my elderly neighbor would frequent here as a stable and consistent place. Not wasting any time, I gave them a call and they delivered quick! Ordered my usual - chicken and broccoli (large) with wonton soup (comfort food at its finest when sick) and roast pork fried rice for the hubby. The food was really solid! The chicken and broccoli has more broccoli than anything, but the pieces of chicken were decent. The brown sauce was excellent - 10/10. The pork fried rice was to my husband's liking, and he too wondered why we didn't order from here since it's so close to our house without having to pay prices for the larger, well known American-Chinese food places. I was staying at the Avis hotel in Dyker Heights and saw the Chinese restaurant across the street and gave it a try. I have to admit the food was delicious and fresh! The boneless spare ribs were to die for! The beef was tender in the beef with broccoli. I did speak with the owner (very nice lady) and told her I checked out some Yelp reviews before coming. She did admit that the few negative reviews were mistakes left for another Szechuan Delight also in Brooklyn but in Park Slope. Once decent restaurant gone bad. They got my order wrong, sent me wrong items, the roast pork egg rolls are the size of my finger now and and have NO pork in them it was just cabbage and when I called and complained the woman on the phone was nasty and yelled at me. This used to be my go to spot in Dyker Heights when I worked nearby. Quick, efficient & friendly service. Good and delicious meals. Never had a problem with them. Recently, I spoke to my In Laws about their boneless spare ribs and how amazingly tender and delicious it was. We placed an order for a small order of that and a Buddha's Delight (wanted veggies) last weekend to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. We had just picked up her birthday cake and catering from a Korean restaurant but wanted some more vegetable options- hence our impromptu visit here. I ordered the chicken lo mein, roast pork egg roll, and scallion pancakes by takeout recently. The food arrived ridiculously fast and was hot and delicious. I wish there had been more scallions in the pancakes but they were still good. Portion sizes were good for a single person. I often expect more Chinese food for the price but everything was your classic American style Chinese food. I would order from here again the menu is extensive. read more

I hate to add on to some of these reviews but i think i must. We ordered delivery and got, the fried dumplings, chicken and broccoli, and chicken chow mein combination. We did not get the Chow Mein, instead we were given a weird vegetable fried rice that had just lettuce thrown on top and it was soggy through out it all. The dumplings were burnt but also soggy? We don't get it either. And the chicken and broccoli just didn't taste right. After looking at reviews we decided to stop eating as people said it made them feel ill. read more

Hate to add onto the last few reviews others left, but I also got a stomach ache eating this food. Ordered a Lo mein combo, scallion pancakes, two quarts of wonton and chicken and rice soup. A quart of wonton soup should have more than 6 wontons and one piece of roast pork. Embarrassing. A quart of chicken and rice soup shouldn't be 99% rice with maybe a couple of baby pieces of chicken. The rice in the combo was either stale, old, not fresh, or all of the above. The Lo mein wasn't good either. Scallion pancakes pretty good. This place USE to be good, but bad portions, cheap (maybe getting people sick due to not being fresh/god knows whatever else) ingredients, and overall bad food have made this a must avoid establishment. read more

I haven't had fake Chinese food in forever. You know, the takeout kind of food that isn't really authentic Chinese eats. But after a long week, we didn't want to cook so decided to order via Yelp. This spot is close by and has decent reviews so we decided to give it a try. Delivery took an hour and 5 minutes - not necessarily the quickest considering it's a few minutes from me, but when the food arrived, I knew it was because they were making the food fresh. Some bomb items include the broccoli in garlic sauce, boneless spare ribs, scallion pancakes, and beef/vegetables in oyster sauce. We also ordered vegetable lo mein which was nothing special. The entire order came with an egg roll and a million sauces that we never ended up using. Good take out spot. I'd order out of convenience again. read more

So my wife ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken, Dumplings and an Eggroll this past Wednesday night.. 4/13/2022.....She woke up in the middle of the night running to the bathroom... She then got chills and stomach pain with her body getting hot & Cold.... She missed 2 days of work and was running to the bathroom for 2 1/2 days from this disgusting shit hole of an establishment. I don't really go for American Chinese food, but I was I. The mood. I ordered gen tso chicken combo with white rice with pork and egg, (I HATE fake yellow fried rice). The pan fried veg dumplings, bbq ribs and wonton soup. The gen tso was crispy and had a good flavor. Not much spice, even though I ordered it hot. Still best I have had in bay ridge. Egg roll was smaller than average, very crispy. I liked it. The veg dumplings were a bit too doughy, the filling was ok and the dipping sauce was very good. Wonton soup was very good... But the wontons are super thick. The filling is fine. The broth was above average, the pork was fine and the veg in it was very good (mustard greens?). I will ask for extra veg next time. The ribs were well done and not too tough. They could have used more sauce. Overall not bad. I will order again, when I have a American Chinese food craving. read more

Very passable Chinese food. Delivery is reliable, and it's edible, if you have low standards, even for chop suey. It's not that much Szechuan, as the name implies. Also, they don't label anything, so if you have a big group, have fun spending 5 minutes sorting everything out. Maybe we're just dumb though. Everything is just okay. I've ordered from here several times. No complaints about the food itself... it's pretty standard (Americanized) Chinese food. However. The last time we ordered from this place for delivery, the order was wrong. So I called and requested they deliver what I'd actually ordered, which the woman who answered the phone was decently understanding about... but it took another half hr for the corrected food to be delivered, and then the food that was delivered the 2nd time was still incorrect, despite me clearly staying several times into the phone what I'd ordered. Very bad service and hungry for a tip. A TIP IS A COMPLIMENT. NOT A NECESSITY. I had the crispy duck. It was disgusting. The meat tasted old. The marrow tasted old and the old marrow was bleeding into the meat. It was a travesty. I'm not a duck person but I've had duck in court street in Brooklyn and it was delectable. I guess because this place is in Park Slopes people feel it automatically gets a pass but this was crap. Might as well go to a good Chinese food restaurant in the hood because it's EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Waste of time. I left the whole entrè of crispy duck and the server had the gall to ask why there wasn't a tip. Because your duck was horrible lady. Not to mention they wouldn't substitute the brown rice for fried rice. I came here solely because my cousin suggested I should try because he took a date there and they enjoyed it.
