Great Pizza! The bottom is almost bread like and taste amazing. I just went with the classic pepperoni pizza and it was great.

This place just happens to be around our new home and i thought to give them a try. My call was quickly answered and i ordered my hawaiian and a slice of cheese. The man over the phone said about 10-15 mins. I walked in about 10 mins later and briefly chatted with the man behind the counter, very friendly and he said about 2 more mins. Great! I paid first and about a minute later, out comes my pizza. It was very timely and the pizza piping hot. Now the taste, i think its pretty good for the price you pay, as it had good flavor and its very cheesy. But the crust is a little thicker than what i usually like, but my kids and hubby killed it pretty quickly. When I heard these guys reopened, I went and got me an XL pizza. Damn it was good! Quite honestly I like this place better than Porkys. The quality of their pizza is so good and they make their pizza as if they're not being rushed (like porkys cause they're always busy). And not to mention the price is reasonable too. I love to support small businesses especially this one that reminds me of when my dad use to make pizza and owned a shop 20 years ago. Don't sleep on San Leandro as one of the Bay's hidden gems. Red Apple Pizza is BOMB! The large Supreme pizza and large Pepperoni pizza contained real cheese, real meat, and fresh vegetables. Some pizza companies use content that feels frozen, stale, or canned. Sure, I risked my gluten and dairy allergies and it was worth the rumblings in my stomach. Best Pizza in town! Delivery is free and fast. Pizza always comes fresh and hot. I love love love their crust. Can always count on them delivering my pizza! I love their pizza and the owner is super friendly. BUT....one of the delivery peoole ( a woman) is very unprofessional. Everytime she delivers our bottled drink has to have hair of some sort on it. Last time she pulled a receipt and change out of her bra. Disgusting! My receipt and change were damp and soft (human funk). She also blabbers away w/ out making sense at all when she delivers. Best pizza in SAN LEANDRO hands down.. & very cheap. I always get a personal hawaiian pizza with a side of 10 buffalo wings it usually comes up to around 9 to 10 dollars very cheap! & delicious. If i were to go to porkys, pizza hut or round table it would of been around 15 to 20 dollars easily! I have always love pizzas and my favorite (non-fancy) pizza joint have always been Round Table Pizza. Red Apple Pizza is right there at the same level with Round Table. It is close, convenient, good price and good pizzas. Although it is run by Vietnamese, the taste is pretty good. Way lots better than most other pizza joints (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Mountain Mike, etc) and comparable to Round Table but cheaper. read more

Mind you we came from living in the city, then San Mateo (big ups to Toto's Pizza). I'm going to rate this on my two friends and myself, as my fiance is from Brooklyn, so his pizza ratings out here on the west side are always pretty dim. - The pizza was dry and unflavorful -We got a cheese & mushroom and the supreme pizza so we had two to choose from (both lacked in flavor) -The delivery took about and hour and 15 minutes, come on San Leandro isn't that big. The pizza here is always fresh and VERY tasty. The guy who runs the place is a doll..love him! I have never had a bad pizza from here.. I don't understand how someone could say the pizza was dry??? How can that be? Their pizza is always very moist and very cheezy.. they have a lot of toppings to choose from and 3 diff sauces... the crust is great, and this is one of the pizzas I can eat the next day cold. (I usually hate cold pizza) AND, it warms up beautifully the next day too, if you like your pizza warm.. Anyway, you cannot go wrong. It's a very small place but as usual it's not the size that matters it's what you do with it. And this little pizza kitchen makes you one of the best pizzas in the bay area. I started coming here about two years ago and never had another pizza in San Leandro any more. If you pre order over the phone and want to pick up yourself their time estimate is typically spot on.
