If I could give zero stars, I would. Rebel tacos in the Promenade Mall charged us $35 dollars for 2 orders of nachos and two tacos. The meat was dry and rubbery, and both orders of nachos had completely BURNT cheese. More than half of the nacho chips were dry and untouched by any toppings. The red salsa they offered was nothing more than tapatio. And since there is no dine-in, we weren't able to return any of the completely un-edible food. To make matters worse, EVERYONE who ate this food became sick within 30 minutes of eating and continued to suffer until the next morning. I will never recommend this place unless you plan to lose some massive weight with their laxative food. read more

Got a cali burrito and i was surprised by how big it was but it didn't taste right. I love onion and cilantro but theirs ruined the burrito. It was also too greasy. The steak was too chewy and flavorless. I'm giving it 3 stars because the staff were very friendly and they serve manzanita sol. Here is the thing the food is decent for a mall food court but the service is awful. It takes forever sometimes and you'll see lots of orders come out before yours at times. This place shocked me. I was at the mall with my kids (the mall is the last place I ever want to be), so we gave it a shot. The customer service was great and the food was ridiculous. Like SO good. Let me start by saying, save your money. I decided to try it out today with my boyfriend. I wish we chose something else in the mall because this food was gross!! I ordered the chorizo & cheese taco, it was the worst taco I've ever ate. The meat had NO flavor, tasted extremely burnt. Barely any cheese so you couldn't taste it... the tortilla was cold & hard no flavor.. we also got a Cali burrito, it was alright. Flour tortillas tasted homemade, full of fries barely any meat though. Expected a lot more for a 10$ burrito. It was smaller than usual burrito spots. Got carne asada fries, they where ok as well. Needed more meat and cheese, also small for 11$. Horchata & pickled onions with habaneros are the best thing I guess. But definitely wouldn't go back. Seems that they are catering to a clientele that is not looking for real Mexican style tacos but a new hip kind of tacos. I ordered the California tacos and the adobada tacos, the one most important thing missing is "limon" So if your looking for authentic Mexican this is not your place. We were so excited to try this place.. I worked at mall and having tacos place was everything..but when I tried for first time..I literally threw my tacos in trash....1.Very expensive, 2. Dont go here. Ordered simple taco plate paid cash. Only 1 person before me and they got their food after a few mins. Im standing there watching food preparers and they are not working on any order? So after 10-15mins i ask nicely where is my food? Lady says let me check and cant find, so i said its ok just give me my money back and looked at food preparers and they are still just standing around. Lady gives me back a receipt as a refund and i said that i paid cash. She said sorry rudely and after another few mins hands me my money finally. I definitely WONT go here again. The price of a birria quesadilla and a small drink is roughly around $15. A little pricey but I was letting my hunger allow it.
