Their prices are great! Their rolled tacos are great! Their cheese enchiladas are great.... But their beans? Not so much. I used to LOVE their beans. I don't know what happened and can't put my finger on the flavor but their beans? Nope. There is a strange flavor going on. Maybe it's bacon grease? Naa... I just don't know. I am going to give this place a rest, come back in a few months and hope they have gone back to the recipe I loved so much. I love coming here for breakfast burritos. They're so nice and welcoming and the food I've tried is good. Never had a problem with it or got sick as others said they have. My husband and I usually just pickup from here, but we've eaten here too and like the cozy atmosphere. It's not sit down and get waited on restaurant per se. You order at the counter, but I personally have no issue with that. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! Beware! Please! Don't eat from this place safe yourself from being sick... no wonder I would hear bad things about this place. I bought a burrito from this place midday I was feeling so grossed out & non stop diarrhea!! It's been 5 days & im still having stomach issues, I knew from the first bite it was not good, but felt bad to say something cause usually never complain! First time trying this food. I can say prices arent bad but food overall was eh. The carne asada fries were mostly fries. The rolled tacos were eh. Problem was that in my rolled tacos there was a toothpick. Idk if it was used but regardless that is disgusting and dangerous. It ruined the whole food. We scrapped everything not trying to risk it. read more

This little spot tucked in the corner of a shopping center does not get the love that they deserve. The food is good and has a homemade taste. I love their taco specials; tacos are crunchy and delicious!! I also love that they make a lot of different salsas... my favorite is the guacatillo, it's spicy af!! Another Cal Oaks favorite of mine. I've been coming here since '03, and it is always a nice little spot to grab a bite. Food is awesome, and prices are pretty good. Great place to get just a regular ol classic Bean and Cheese Burrito, and their Fries are good too. Staff are always friendly, and service is quick. Great place, a true classic. read more

We used MSR for their catering package for a second time and they were once again excellent. All partygoers agreed that the food was very good, same as last time. Came here to have a quick bite for lunch. I had ordered their asada fries and my boyfriend got the chile relleno. Food arrived quickly which was good since we were both hungry. Upon opening the togo box, my boyfriend can already tell his was microwaved. Nothing tastes fresh. He was too hungry to care but he said his chile relleno was eh. Nothing that stood out. My carne asada fries were okay. For some reason they threw chips on top of my asada fries which was weird. The asada meat was tough&chewy. No flavor to the meat nor tasted like asada. Cheese werent fully melted. It was okay overall. I dont understand how this place has so many good reviews. In addition to their food, their salsas were a major disappointment. Their green sauce is so watery&its flavorless. Thought id go for the red sauce instead and its not any better. Their red sauce was also watery and it literally taste&looks just like pico de gallo. Neither of the sauce added flavor or spice. read more

You won't notice this restaurant until you actually go into the plaza it's in, which is in its own mini plaza. It's a small Mexican restaurant. As soon as you enter, you are greeted warmly. There are pictures on the wall of what I assume are their specialty dishes. On Thursdays, there's a deal for tacos. I ordered chicken tacos and a carne asada burrito without beans. I loved their spicy salsa. It's definitely a Mexican restaurant worth trying. read more

When it comes to Mexican restraunt a I am very critical on their meat. The beef in the place is certainly different from most, though in a good. Nothing that taste like homemade but it does taste like "birthday party carne asada". The tortilla was nice a crunchy while the toppings and condiments where average. The seats and atmosphere was average overall. Not a bad place for Mexican food if you're nearby, especially if you get the meals on special. read more

The pickled onions added a tartiness to it that surprised me. The chicken pesto panini was really good as well. It came with a salad and vinaigrette that I really liked. The matcha flight came with coconut cloud, ube matcha, pistachio matcha and lavender matcha. I didn't really like the coconut cloud much, it just tasted like coconut water. My favorite was the lavender matcha. Send being the pistachio and then the ube. I didn't like that they cut the straws in half because they weren't tall enough to peak out of the cup and I had to dig it out with my fingers lol. That's easily fixed by just grabbing the regular sized straws. The service was good, the line was to the door but they got our orders quickly. The place play music at a nice level that's not too loud. They get packed though so be prepared to stand. I've tried 2 other matcha places and this one has had the best lavender matcha out of them all.

I split a pastrami melt sandwich with my friend and she recommended that one order of fries would feed all three of us. She was right! Food came out quickly. I savored that pastrami melt half. All contains liquids. They put the papaya in a big closable container with a lid. Smart; you'd think everyone would do that. You'd be surprised who just dumps papaya in a styrofoam container! Anyway the squid and beef salads came separately from their salads. They made sure to pack the dry salads in a takeout box and put the mixed proteins in their marinades in another soup containers which was perfect and made it so easy to add on top when ready. I really love that idea! Not only that but the food was good. I really enjoyed the squid salad it had a nice sour balance. The papaya salad I requested Lao style to be the spiciest level 10 but it actually wasn't too spicy. Other restaurants definitely need to take notes because I really just had a bad experience with another Thai restaurant being so careless and my papaya salad sauce spilling not only in the bag but dripped all over my floors. You guys have a repeat customer in the area!

Please beware food is frozen and not fresh. Also they microwave Chile rellenos in the styrofoam containers which leach chemicals into food. I had to yell at man to not nuke my food. I thought everything was fresh made to order. I'm now scared to eat this food. read more
