A road-trip stop on our journey home from Florida. Just a few miles off I-95 North, this little gem is well worth the stop. I personally had a pie with red sauce, light cheese and arugala. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the pie was a good size. I also enjoyed part of a slice of chocolate ganache cake for dessert...made in house daily. It was marvelous. The waitress (Theresa, I believe?) was an absolute sweetheart. Very attentive and considerate. Great conversationalist. Very good experience. If I have the chance to return (which is slim given that I live in New England), I will gladly do so. read more

Just ate lunch here, what a great find! This is the most authentic Neapolitan style pizza you'll find for miles around. This is from someone who has had real pizza all over Italy and who grew up in New Haven, a city that really put this style of pizza on the map in America. The wood fired brick oven makes all the difference. All of the ingredients are locally sourced, no added unnatural mess, and they stock local craft brews from around the state. It seems very obscure place but you will be surprised. It is the best spot for Neapolitan-style pizza if you are crossing South Carolina on I-95. We had Margherita and Margherita+anchovies. They were good. Also ordered meatballs for the kids and was surprised how normal they tasted - no weird wannabe-Italian spices on them. My wife and I ate here for lunch. It was an odd time in the afternoon so the place was dead but the food was definitely alive. We ordered the pimento cheese baguettes as an appetizer and for our meal we had the chicken pesto pizza. Both were great, the pimento cheese was fresh and homemade and the baguettes were toasted with nice grill marks on the underside. The wood fired pizza was fantastic and very fresh. Although filling, the pizza wasn't heavy on the stomach as most pizza tends to be. It's so nice to see a locally owned restaurant with quality food that sources all their ingredients from local farms and breweries. The price for two people with two drinks and a starter was only 28 dollars, so you really can't beat it. The staff was also friendly and the chefs loved hearing that we thought the pizza was awesome. We will definitely stop in again and I highly recommended if you like pizza or just good food in general! read more

I went solo yesterday on a Friday evening. It was busy but the wait was not long. My waitress was nice and attentive in spite of having to juggle tables with big groups of people. They provided complimentary mini cookies/biscuits while waiting on your entrees. I appreciate the nice selection of craft beers, and I enjoyed the pie of the month. It would be ideal for a casual weekend meet up with friends or lunch with coworkers. I hope to be back soon. read more

This place has great pizza with a great atmosphere. We also had a dessert pizza ( s'mores) that 2 out of the 4 of us liked. My only complaint would be it almost seems a little too upscale for pizza. Think they could lose the whole chef outfit. read more

I was excited when I first walked in to see a wood-fired brick oven. The pizzas coming out had the slightly charred areas on the top of the crust as you see in the better brick oven pizza restaurants. It was Friday evening and fairly busy. We waited 20 minutes for a seat. Another 20 to order, another 20 to be served. They appeared to be under staffed. The pizzas came and they were VERY soggy. It was if very insufficient heat ever got to the bottom of the pizza. The slices cannot be picked up, you have to slide them off the platter and eat them with a fork. I asked the lead person (I assume) if any heat came from the bottom. He said the heat source was at the top and the heat transferred down to the bottom of the oven. NO it doesn't enough. Under cooked. The waiter told us they have the same number of servers on busy nights as the slow ones. Save your time and money....go to Marco's or Little Caesar's. You can't go wrong with a wood oven, and this pizza is delicious. I got the margarita and my boyfriend got a pizza with red sauce, pepperoni, sweet italian sausage and green olives. The service was ok. The pizza was ok but not for the price not to mention it was not hot. I saw pictures of their food on yelp it looked really good. The salads looked awesome but when the server brought me a bowl of tomatoes I was disappointed. Please take your pictures down and show potential customers what you are really serving them. I don't go to Florence all that often but was very happy when I found Rebel Pie in Timmonsville (hat tip to to Grotto for the recommendation). I am even happier now that it is on Second Loop. If there is better pizza in Florence I have certainly not found it. I found the Rebel Pie about 6 months ago and thought it was very good. loved the brick oven crust and the perfect amount of topping on my pizza. Not too much, not to little. I love the "make your own" with pepperoni, hamburger and bacon and strangely enough found the Mediterranean pizza to be superb. Thanks to my wife for getting that one, Now its a favorite. I got an entre sized salad (The Rebel Salad) by accident once and now i am addicted to it. That preposterous comment about "like any salad from McDonalds" is nothing more than an insult to the quality of food at this place. There is no shortage of ingredients on their salads. I never liked olives and now after eating at Rebel Pie I cant seem to get enough of them.The young staff do a fine job and are very capable. It is a Pizza Place and it does it gooood, real gooood. It should be noted i wouldn't post on this place untili had eaten there several times over a period of 6 months or so just to make sure the delicious pizza i was having wasn't an anomaly. read more
