**A Comfortable Visit to Panera Bread - Florence, SC**…read more I stopped by the Panera Bread on David H McLeod Boulevard recently for a quiet breakfast, and while the experience had its charms, there's certainly room for this location to shine a bit brighter. I ordered the Ham Croissant Benny - Black Forest ham with scrambled egg and cheesy benedict sauce nestled in a flaky, buttery croissant. The flavors melded. That croissant had good texture, and the benedict sauce added a nice richness. My only small disappointment was that it could have benefited from a bit more time on the sandwich press - the center was a touch cool when I bit in. Still, the taste was there, and I enjoyed every bite. The Bold coffee was... well, coffee. It did its job and paired nicely with breakfast, though I wouldn't call it particularly memorable. Sometimes that's just fine when you need a reliable cup. What I appreciated most was the relaxed atmosphere. This is an older Panera location, and it shows its age a bit - the space could use some freshening up here and there. But honestly? The quieter pace was a blessing. I never felt hurried, and I was able to spread out some paperwork and take my time without feeling like I was overstaying my welcome. There's something to be said for that kind of comfortable, unhurried dining experience. I've always loved Panera's aesthetic - that inviting combination of stone and wood creates such a warm environment. This Florence location has good bones and that classic Panera feel. With a little TLC, it could really be something special again. The bottom line: If you're looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a decent breakfast without the hustle and bustle, this Panera fits the bill. Just maybe double-check that your sandwich is heated through before you settle in.

After having the crab cake sandwich we would recommend doing the platter because the bread overpowers the crab cake. Everything was incredible, the flavors, consistency, and quality. Came with slaw, 1x Side (Collard Greens: sweet vinegar with some heat, and a bit of pork, really good!), and some AMAZING Hushpuppies (fresh, sweet corn bread). Shrimp & Grits: Fantastic! Buttery and cheesy grits with sausage and nice shrimp (not over-cooked or chewy). Green beans were slightly too soft (30-mins until closing), but good comfort food. Coleslaw was "meh," but a good, crunchy foil to the fish and rice. Counter Service (order at register, then they bring to table/to-go) was quite fast, given that they had to cook the fish and prep foods for take-out. Everything looked clean, staff was nice, and owner was talking to everyone. Didn't get to try the variety of desserts, but they looked and smelled great. Traveling, but worth the stop!

Hey Yelp Fam! Hey…read morey'all, I'm back with another review, and this time we're in Florence, South Carolina. We were out and about and wanted to try a new place to eat. My sister mentioned that she came across a spot on TikTok that everyone was talking about--apparently, they serve huge portions of seafood at a reasonable price. Honestly, there wasn't much convincing needed. She had me at seafood, big portions, and affordable prices, so I was like, let's go. When we got there, the parking lot was pretty full, so we expected a bit of a wait once we went inside. They do have a drive-thru, but since this was our first time and we weren't exactly sure what we wanted to order, we decided to go inside instead. For it being our first visit, we ordered quite a few things: shrimp platters, a hamburger just to try it out, and even a couple of hot dogs. When the food came out, they weren't kidding about the huge portions. You get a lot of food--served in what looks like a medium-sized pizza box, overflowing and a bit greasy. But the food was good. I really enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the hushpuppies, fried okra were good too. I didn't care too much for the hot dogs or the hamburger, or salad, the bake potato. The grill shrimp was ok but to be fair, when I go to a seafood place, I usually stick to seafood. When I post the photos, you'll see just how much food they give you. Overall, the food was good and the service was solid. Would I go back? Probably. I'd likely check out a few other seafood spots in the area just to compare, but if I couldn't find another option, I'd definitely come back here and order the shrimp platter again.
