I ate at Reba's last Sunday afternoon with my son's family. We had the fried cauliflower appetizer. WOW! My DIL got a club sandwich, and my son and his daughter split a pepperoni pizza. I got the Truffle Shuffle burger with fries. ALL of it was AMAZING! Everything comes straight from the kitchen as soon as it's ready. The fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and super tasty. I'm a former restaurant owner and bona fide foodie, so please understand that I don't say these things lightly! We've driven by here many times and finally decided to stop for a meal. So glad we did! The restaurant was nicely spaced and felt safe. The tea selections were nice and refreshing. Not often you get flavored iced tea options! The staff were friendly and helpful. And the food is all DELICIOUS! We had some great sandwiches. Can't wait to try a pizza! Just tried this place after years of driving past it. The new location makes it easier to stop in on the way out of town. It is a really cute place in a really cool old building. Love it! I ordered the Bonnie & Clyde special with the Tuna Melt and Tomato soup. The Tuna Melt was super good, but the soup was inedible. The Tomato soup was very tangy/acidic and had way too much basil in it. I am not sure that it was homemade. Either way it didn't taste good. My Husband ordered the American Dream hamburger and he really loved it. Although the fries are simple Sysco fries, they were okay. Cons: The waitress/bartender girl that was helping us was so socially awkward. She could use some pointers on social interactions and overall customer engagement, albeit nice enough. She was a little lost on menu items and we had to ask for waters. Perhaps she is new... There is no way to tip using a credit card, so thats really annoying and shorts the staff. Not cool. Stopped by on our way out of town. Ordered a hamburger & when I saw the tomatoes on it I was appalled. Let me describe them...2 round pieces of tomato ends...looked like 2 circles!! Disgusted I took them to the register where u order & handed them to the dark haired person standing there. She then handed them to someone else who then gathered 2 more people around to look at the circles of tomato skin that was on my burger. She asked you didn't want tomatoes? I said yes but decent ones. I usually throw that part away. Long story short this place is run by mostly young incompetent, rude & unfriendly people. They need a MANAGER!! They know nothing ...absolutely nothing abt customer service. And the food is just not good! read more

Just visited Rebas's in Giddings tonight with my family as we were passing through. I have always wanted to stop here as it looks so cute, but I was so disappointed. We ordered mozzarella sticks, kids peanut butter Sandwich with chips, kids hamburger and fruit, homemade lasagna with garlic bread and side salad, cheese pizza and a chicken Caesar salad. I'll start with the good: Restaurant is casual and family friendly Mozzarella sticks were great! Cheese pizza was alright, fruit cup was great! Hamburger also...alright Chicken Caesar salad - husband said was really good Now the bad: The delivery of the food was weird...they brought out one plate at a time with very long intervals of delivery. So as a family of five this was a bit frustrating. Vegetable lasagna was lukewarm, tasted off, came with two pieces of dry unseasoned toast, and no salad...when we asked for the salad it finally came out and looked great until a fly crawled out from deep inside the salad I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Fingers crossed none of us get food poisoning, but definitely feeling an upset stomach coming on already. read more

My second visit in the past year and nothing has changed. The food is really good all around. Really fresh ingredients and a wide menu variety. Homemade fudge of every kind for dessert along with a Texas favorite, Bluebell Ice Cream Bar. The atmosphere is nostalgic and fitting for this quaint town of Giddings. So, you might ask; "why am I only giving them a 3- Star Rating? Well, in a word, their Service Model "sucks"! You find a table, decide what you want to order, then go to the line along the counter and order and pay for your food, take a number and then.......you wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and then wait some more for them to bring your food. TAKES FOREVER even when they're not busy! The food would be worth a wait, but not as long as they take. So how long is long you might ask? In both cases of our visits, the wait was over 35 minutes!! So you are probably wondering, "would I go there again?" My answer is "Yes", with the knowledge and understanding the service is really, really, really SLOW! But, as I said in the beginning "the food is really good all around. So, pack your patience, bring a good book or good company and ENJOY! P.S. My favorite is their Reuben Sandwich . read more

My husband and I stopped here driving from Austin to Houston for lunch. It was so good. We will definitely be back. My husband had the avocado BLT and I had the French connection. Got a Togo order tonight and paid with card. When I asked about leaving a tip, I was informed that Reba's doesn't let you tip on credit/debit card purchases. That screws the cashiers/bartenders. The owners of the establishment should let them get tips off cards. 95% of the public doesn't carry cash these days. I felt terrible as I don't have cash on me and won't be back. read more

Order taker was cordial but not friendly. Not the best first impressions. Only one person in front of us in line. We came after the lunch rush. Maybe 115. I got the club with fries. Each of my three girls got individual pizzas. Sandwich came out first and within a reasonable amount of time. Was a good club and the fries were cooked well. I ate slow and still finished before any sign of pizzas. Was over 30 minutes to get pizzas and one of them had to be remade for some reason. Store not busy enough for it to take that long. The worker who brought out pizza did offer up cheese sticks the pizza remake. By the time the remake came out we were ready to go and asked the lady, a different one, for a to go box and her response, with attitude was 'you don't want this?'. No we just want a box so she can eat it in the car since we've already been in store for too long and everyone else has eaten. And we're on the road trying to get somewhere. Food quality was a 4. Service was a 2. At least order taker didn't flip the monitor and ask for a tip. read more

I think Reba's is a great find!!! It's right off 290 in Giddings, so watch for it. We had the Cobb salad. It was large, fresh and delicious. They have wraps, sandwiches, quiche, pizza, soup, burgers.... AND Bluebell Ice Cream!!! Site made fudges. It's a great place to stop while traveling 290 Austin/ Houston route. The staff were all so friendly and engaging. I'm we will be back and next time I'll add pictures. Oh and wait ... there is more! 8 beers on tap and 20 different beers in bottles. 20 + wines to choose from as well. Please drink responsibly. read more
