Really Right Stuff lost my last order. As per their policy, they are not responsible for customer's orders once it leaves their facility. You can track through UPS but customers cannot make a claim directly with UPS because claims need to be initiated through the company who placed the order. It was the cheapest order I placed with RRS in my last 10 years as a loyal customer but definitely the last. I encourage all potential buyers to stay away from this company since there are plenty of other camera brands out there who offer better service to their clients. read more

Decent stuff for camera gear, but they have terrible customer service. Been trying to return a universal camera mount that is a poor fit on my A7V. Wrote them 3 messages to return, zero response. Good luck on reaching them for any returns. They charge a huge premium, but have no customer support or service. I don't get it until I read employee reviews. Also not a good place to work, I guess. Arca Swiss plates can be licensed by others, so spec tolerances are generally good. I wanted a quality USA made piece that is easily accessible. RRS builds and finishes them well for the cameras in use. My 5D bodies have them for regular L to the gripped variants and single position plates when simplicity is desired. L plates are on the G-Series past and present. Their clamps are a go to and 4 of the B2-Pro-II are in use on varying platforms. Their TFA-01 table top is a workhorse in my product photography and I can rely on it without hesitation. Same applies to the TP-243 ground tripod that is taken on air travels. If they came up with a middle variant between the table top and ground I'd be interested too. Sales staff via phone or in person has been pleasant. Questions asked receive a prompt and thorough answer. The showroom is drool worthy for the photo nut. Also love the bull dog there. :) Quality USA made gear comes with a price and I don't mind their price structure. Resale is easy because their gear holds value and the quality known. The most impressive thing about this company is how small the work crew is while still churning out quality. Also that they are constantly looking to upgrade their current products while coming out with new ones. Also, to address the 1 star review, I don't know how a person can be salty for being charged to replace parts they lost due to their own negligence. Warranties are generally for a failure of the product, not your mistakes. read more

Great place for photography needs in tripods, mini tripods and ball heads that work. I have a couple of tripods and they work great. My RRS TVC-24L carbon fiber I've had for about 5 years now. Then bought a RRS BH-40 Ball Head. I used another brand head but it kept dropping my camera, not this head it works great. I bought a RRS Basic Pocket Pod when I'm in tight quarters in a house. Really Right Stuff. Catchy name, but in photography circles, the RRS name is always associated with high end, quality photography equipment. Carbon fiber tripods are a super popular item that they sell in addition to clamps, plates, heads, etc. The one thing that may turn people away is price. They are very high end equipment, but very well made and of high quality. I recently purchased a BH-55 Ballhead and 192 FAS Nodal Slide for pano shots from them and I have nothing but high praises for the products. The ballhead is very well made, I never have to worry about my camera slipping off or moving around while mounted to it. It features an Arca-Swiss clamp which I ordered with the screw knob over the lever release style. It has a very smooth operation and when you rotate it, it's also very smooth. The Nodal Clamp, which is used primarily for panoramic shots to give you perfect stitching abilities by eliminating parallax effects is another quality product. Machined to exact standards, you never have to be concerned about poor workmanship when purchasing any of their products. I give them four solid stars for quality workmanship. Price is a factor, but if you want the best, you will pay the price! Solid Four Stars * * * * 5-13-16 I am now using a TVC-34 carbon fiber tripod with the BH-55 ballhead by RRS and I can't say enough great things about it! If you are really serious about your photography, you should have the most stable base for your camera. You can have the best equipment, but if you intend to support it on a pair of "bird legs", you're not going to get optimal results. The TVC-34 is a super solid mountain of a tripod and you can feel how stable it is. I highly recommend it!! read more

As far as the first review goes, I am very concerned that anyone would mix up someone's religious beliefs with their business practices. I myself, have used RRS doe more than 10 years. I had only excellent experiences with Joes (owner) and the entire staff. I have even visited their site in San Luis OBISPO, CA. RRS has the best camera support gear in the industry. I do admit they do cost a little more, but their quality and equipment robustness is outstanding. They have wonderful catalogs, and an excellent website. Go to any photographic workshop and you will see their equipment. Ask around to see if these people love their RRS gear. My bet is YES. read more

Really Right Stuff is absolutely as good as it gets. Their gear and customer service is nothing short of the best! It's an absolute pleasure to deal with them, and using their gear is effortless and easy. I love being able to set up my camera and tri pod in seconds while being able to focus on getting the shot. Using Really Right Stuff products is akin to a Formula 1 pit stop; i.e. done in seconds. There might be cheaper alternatives, but they are not worth it. Buying from Really Right Stuff is an investment that allows me to be at my best. I am no longer hindered by hap hazard gear that is a struggle to use that takes my thought away from getting the shot. RRS is well worth the price of admission. Do yourself a favor and treat your self to the best camera support system. It's a great investment into your photography, has a high resale value, and will allow you to be at your best. read more

Tripod company called the Really Right Stuff is the Really Wrong Stuff when it comes to customer service. Under warranty, and after spending nearly $3,000 in tripods and heads, two of the rubber feet came off on our last trip to Patagonia. Rather than cover it they pulled a cheapO move and made me pay $8.00 each for the feet, which probably costs them a couple bucks to have made. They have no problem charging top dollar for their equipment, but when it comes to backing up their claim as The Really Right Stuff, they have zero integrity for covering that claim. I would recommend going to another company for your tripod needs. There is plenty of good equipment out there without dealing with these stuck up people from San Luis Obispo. I have never posted a negative feed on a company before, but these guys were just plain arrogant. read more

I'm a fan of RRS, having used their tripods, bullheads, safari clamps etc. Expensive - yes. Top quality - yes. I'm writing this review since I had the chance to drop by their showroom in San Luis Obispo. I could't have been happier with my visit. The showroom is setup so all pieces of gear can be tried out. Joe (Jr) spent as much time as I needed talking with me about my questions regarding the purchase of a new tripod head. When he noticed my current tripod had a "floppy" leg, he voluntarily offered to take it upstairs and service it for me. No charge, beautiful job. I bought a BH-55-LR ball head with a B2 AS II lever release style quick release clamp in 2006. In May I dropped the combo onto the pavement damaging the clamp. I emailed RRS and they replied promptly that they would repair the the clamp or take it in trade toward a new one at half price. I was happy with that deal. Only problem was I could not get the clamp to unscrew from the ball head. I emailed again asking if the screw might be reverse threaded. RRS replied again quickly that the thread is normal and if I had a real problem to send the whole works back. Fearing further damage I did that. RRS did the repair at no charge and sold me a new clamp for $60, half the normal price. This only took a few days and they apologized for the delay! The quality of RRS equipment is excellent. USA made. The only thing better than a great product is a great product with great service and that is what I have received. read more
