A signed Olympic flag, Olympic photographs of my son winning gold in the Paris 2024 Olympics and a souvenir gold medal. They framed the souvenir medal as promised. I showed them some sample photographs and gave them a library of excellent photos from which they were to choose/print and frame while checking with me. They only framed the sample photographs and never looked at the library of better photos. One of the sample photographs was slightly larger than 4 x 6 but they crammed it into a 4 x 6 cut out, obstructing some of the critical details. The flag was to be framed and placed over a blue background, but have white material under the white flag so the blue background did not show through. They did not do that. They framed the flag to be extremely wrinkled. Just not a good job. The blue background shown through the flag, not good. It was a full size flag, plus the frame so it was turned out to be very LARGE. I rented a pickup truck to get the flag but it did not fit in the pick up truck bed. I drove it home in the rain, hanging out of the bed. They failed to tell me they had delivery service! When I got home and examined things, they had mounted the flag upside down. I called them. They offered me 20% off the photo frame. They picked up the flag and did a decent job and then delivered it back to me. Just not a great experience. Especially with something so important. The photos are still disappointing. I needed the same things framed for another home we own. I went to one of those discount hobby shops, and had the same framing done. They got everything right the first time at half of the price. Literally.

I commissioned a trophy to be made by these guys about two months ago and was told it would be ready in a couple of weeks. The design was essentially a trophy base with a mount to fit a glove. I was quoted $50 for a basic trophy, and about $75 for a more customized trophy for a "specialized mount for the glove." After a month, I hadn't heard from them yet, so I phoned in. They told me they hadn't even started on it yet, and had questions on some of the specifications. Doesn't necessarily make me feel like the most important customer. Customer service sin #1. They ask me to come in to make a few decisions about the trophy, so I head in. I give them more specs, and they say it should be ready in another 2 or 3 weeks. Great. Again, about a month goes by and I have to reach out because I haven't heard back from them yet. They say it's not done yet, but they will rush to get it done. When I go to pick it up, they charge me $145, almost double the $75 quote. Overpromise and underdeliver. Customer service sin #2. Overcharge by 2 times the quoted amount? Customer service sin #3. When I challenge the charged price the manager comes out and says "What, you don't want to pay for your trophy?" I explain to him my hesitation due to the cost discrepancy. Without even looking me in the eye, he just says "Fine, what do you wanna pay?" I tell him I'd pay $85, and he says "Fine," takes my payment, and walks away without saying thank you. Rudeness. Customer service sin #4. The trophy base looks great, but the specialized portion they "made" for the gauntlet is just a square block that the gauntlet doesn't even fit on. They wanted to charge me double for... this? Customer service sin #5. Respect yourself by going elsewhere, 'cause in my experience, they won't respect you here.

I also appreciate how careful they were in flattening the prints, putting tissue paper between them, and packing them on top of a mat board and enclosing in cellophane for protection during transport. I received quotes from six local labs, and MasterLab, while not the least expensive, was less expensive than most and came with great recommendations. I can now vouch as well for their expertise - if you're looking for the best printing (highest quality printers, paper/canvas, and inks) for printing your art project, I'd definitely recommend MasterLab!
