Super happy with my experience with this business. I was recommended by someone who knew the owner so I dropped in to check out the place. In the end I had them print 6 images, 4 on aluminum and the other 2 on custom paper. They all came out fabulous. The largest was 20x55 inches and looks great. I even had them do the installation and it was everything I hoped for. I'd post a picture but it doesn't do it justice. They staff was knowledgeable,patient and friendly. Their prices were very reasonable. Strongly recommend for printing and framing-didn't need any equipment but if I do I'll definitely consider them for that as well. read more

My, my, my. How times change. I just re-read my original reviews of Pixels and I had to chuckle. It was written in 2010 and I mentioned that they carry *both* Canon and Nikon, as if those were the only names in the business. Anyone who has been following digital photography knows that while those are both still major players in the space, there are huge numbers of photographers jumping ship and heading to the likes of Sony, Olympus, and Fuji. I jumped from Canon to Sony and haven't looked back. The big two stopped innovating like the scrappy companies, and you can see the numbers: a year ago Sony overtook Nikon in full-frame cameras, at least as far as revenue from new ILCS sales is concerned. If you fail to innovate, you'll be taken over. I mention this, because looking back at Pixels eight years ago, and seeing them now, you can see the same is true. If they had failed to innovate, they would have closed. Yet they're still at it. They now carry other camera manufacturers--on my recent trip, the Sony stuff was front and center when you walk in. They also recently added Sony glass to their rental list, which is a terrific way to feel out a lens before you buy. Their prices for rentals are pretty reasonable, and their prices for gear purchase are pretty straight along MSRP. I typically come in every few months for printing projects. The last time was a small one, with just a few 5x7, but I use Pixels when it counts. When I want quality, as opposed to what the local big box store or pharmacy developer will offer. It's a small premium, but the end product is just so much better. They're always kind and patient in setting up the print job, and it's usually 1-2 days on turnaround (though more during holidays). It's a great local shop, with nice folks. Don't feel intimidated. It can be intimidating in there, but just find a nice person and ask simple questions and they'll get you on your way. Our experience with Pixels was extremely frustrating. Our company needed two custom-sized shadow boxes made. We went into the store with the objects we needed to be framed and explained exactly what we were looking for. The employees took all the necessary measurements and mentioned that they'd need to take extra steps to order the necessary materials. It took 2 weeks and lots of hounding on our end to verify a final price and ensure that the materials could be ordered. Once we approved the job we were told it would be a 2-3 week turnaround time, during that time we received zero communication. After the 2 week mark, we followed up with the company and were informed that the job hadn't been started because they were waiting on us to bring in our objects, despite the fact that we clearly stated from the beginning that we did not want them to do that part of the framing. The company didn't take ownership for their lack of communication and assured us that they would start the job ASAP and that it would be done by the end of the week. At the end of the week, we followed up again, only to find out that the job had not been started and the materials were not in stock. On top of that, the employee informed us that, despite the fact that they had taken the measurements themselves, the objects would not fit in the boxes. The 5 week process resulted in a canceled order and the company accepted zero ownership over the complications that arose from a lack of communication on their end. read more

Pixels has been my favorite camera and framing shop for 5 years. They sell camera gear, and I have taken advantage of that, But I think the thing they do incredibly well is printing and framing photos. I have also seen what they can do with other types of art work. Their work is always very good. They are also helpful in helping me pick out the right right frame and matting for any photo I want to print and display. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. Oh my gosh I'm super excited that I found these guys! This is my first family photo with my first grand baby and it is so important to me to be able to hang this picture up in my home and have it be the WOW factor when people come to my house and see it! I decided to use Pixels mini-lab to print some party invitations a couple of weeks ago. I'd seen their work, and even referred my sister there, but hadn't been in myself until then. It was a great experience. I called, they had me email over my file and then had the prints ready (just a bunch of 4x6s), within 2 hours. When I went to pick them up, I just mentioned my name and they remembered me and knew exactly which envelope was my order. Also I mentioned that my sister had just recently been in to pick up the pics of her daughter. He asked her name, and remembered her as well and commented on how cute her baby's pictures were. (Well really, how could you not remember, she's pretty much the cutest baby EVER). I already knew their prints were quality, I was very happy with my order, but I was even more excited to discover the amazing customer service and small business feel. As a photographer, one never knows what the next shoot may hold and client might require...this week, had two vastly different client related needs: One; a metallic print for a client - print needed to be a custom size for the correct balance of the image. My regular pro resources could not help as they do not do custom sizes. Client wants image fast! (Holidays!) - Pixels delivered. Amazing meticulous work, quick delivery. Happy client! Second, job call 24 hours before the event. Huge job - and a printer is needed that will be easy to use and spit out prints fast on the event site. Pixels to the rescue again. What struck me was the customer service. From my first phone call to Braydon?, to walking in with my images on disk and working with Lisa; to having an assistant trained on the ease of the printer by Ray? - I was impressed. Courteous, helpful, professional, understanding of my needs and concerns... Pixels has just won a customer. Why hadn't I used them before? Because of the drive from my home. Guess what? Printing, camera gear, framing, rental - I've used Pixels for all of these things and I will continue to do so. I buy most of my cameras, lenses and accessories here and I've spent thousands of dollars with them over the years. Camera gear prices are competitive with other local dealers and they usually have what I need in stock. They also have basic rental gear available at fair, locally-competitive pricing. The online e-commerce dealers and rental services are cheaper but I like to keep most of my business local. Their online print service, quality and pricing is excellent, as is their in-house custom framing. Highly recommended. read more

They used to be great - have a different crew now and the quality is lacking. I asked them to scan negatives ($2/per image - which is 4x more expensive then most) show the brand logo on the film and the sprockets. Did about 1/2 the way I requested, and scanned an image of a sign backwards. Waste of time and money. read more

Today I picked up a 30 x 40" print plates got changed in the upload process, and Grayson let me make an adjustment to it, which she then re-printed perfectly. I am so disappointed!! I have used them multiple times and so has all family. Unfortunately, I ordered prints online (NOT USER FRIENDLY) for them to print enlargements for $30 a piece! They came to me BLURRY! I had my photos taken professionally. I don't understand image sizes, I downloaded my pictures and thought they were good to go! Since they are professional printing place wouldn't you double check such a large print?? Call the customer when you see they are blurry? No instead they printed one image, and then decided to the other one as well! Not one 30x40 image but TWO like that. They also shipped them to me looking like that! NO PHONE CALL! NO WARNING!! What makes matters worse is I chatted with an employee and she said she would reprint them for me. Well, apparently NOT. A "manager" calls the next day and If I want them reprinted (of course I do because they are a gift and look horrible) they would give me half off. To make matters worse the manager was rude and said the employee yesterday is new and didn't know what she said. He wasn't willing to work with me at all. Their printing is usually awesome but man their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I will be finding someone else to work with, telling my family not to use them and to tell my photographer not to ever recommend them again! read more

I am a professional and have high expectations when paying these prices. The entire experience was a huge disappointment as I really need a good local printing service. I took my image to the store so I could get a feel for the operation. Arrived when they opened the doors Saturday morning, only one employee and he was upset because other employees were not there yet. Wouldn't have my print until Monday. Called Monday and couldn't locate my order. Promised for the following day. Called Tuesday, put on hold, couldn't locate my order, promised for the following day. Not Thank you. I called six hours in advance to get pricing on a camera and on the warranty for it, I was told they would have the price of the warranty by the time we arranged. When I arrived the price for the warranty was still a mystery. I came two days later, and got the warranty, but the lady helping me was less than pleasant. Great photography store. I live in Idaho but visit family in Utah and make it a point to go to Pixels (and when I can't make it there they quite speedily ship things to me). The staff is very helpful and honest. It was appreciated when one employee said that he uses Nikon but will offer what he thinks is a better camera in the competing lineups of Nikon and Canon and will say that he likes some Canons better. Overall, they are not biased one way or another in the Nikon/Canon and even Sony debate. They know their product lines very well and make excellent recommendations. I walked in there looking for a tripod and head for a big telephoto lens and they knew exactly how much the lens weighed and what would support it. Some of their recommendations were products they did not have. They are very helpful and their pricing is competitive. read more

I took in a very old official military picture of my father. I asked them to scan the picture and print off some 4x6s. The gentleman I spoke with suggested doing some photoshop on the picture to get out some of the cracks that were in the original picture. It turned out amazing plus they were way cheaper than what inklys wanted to charge me and they weren't even offering to photoshop it for me. I would totally come back read more
