Took my pictures in to buy frames and they actually put them in the frames for me! AWESOME!!!

By the other reviews, it would seem the business offers very good service and products. Maybe I caught them on an off day. I brought in some priceless family heirlooms. A signed Olympic flag, Olympic photographs of my son winning gold in the Paris 2024 Olympics and a souvenir gold medal. They framed the souvenir medal as promised. I showed them some sample photographs and gave them a library of excellent photos from which they were to choose/print and frame while checking with me. They only framed the sample photographs and never looked at the library of better photos. One of the sample photographs was slightly larger than 4 x 6 but they crammed it into a 4 x 6 cut out, obstructing some of the critical details. The flag was to be framed and placed over a blue background, but have white material under the white flag so the blue background did not show through. They did not do that. They framed the flag to be extremely wrinkled. Just not a good job. The blue background shown through the flag, not good. It was a full size flag, plus the frame so it was turned out to be very LARGE. I rented a pickup truck to get the flag but it did not fit in the pick up truck bed. I drove it home in the rain, hanging out of the bed. They failed to tell me they had delivery service! When I got home and examined things, they had mounted the flag upside down. I called them. They offered me 20% off the photo frame. They picked up the flag and did a decent job and then delivered it back to me. Just not a great experience. Especially with something so important. The photos are still disappointing. I needed the same things framed for another home we own. I went to one of those discount hobby shops, and had the same framing done. They got everything right the first time at half of the price. Literally. read more

I'm happy to update this review to 5 stars from the previous 2-star review. The Framing Establishment responded to the previous review with the promise to make things right - which they did. We had 4 framed art pieces done and we couldn't be happier with the final result. One poster is a Carline Young original from Hawaii. While being shipped here, the frame was destroyed and the FE reframed it with a rustic wood frame that looked even better than the original. The other pieces were posters purchased on Main st. in Moab and they are were impeccably done. We'll done guys! We'll be back to frame more pieces soon! read more

Let me start out by saying I was extremely happy with the workmanship of my finished product. I brought in a painting I wanted framed that I bought on my vacation. I was greeted promptly, and the gentleman was nice enough, however, I was hoping to be helped with someone who could help me design my frame. I wanted a frame that would bring out a certain color in my picture, and needed help with that. The salesman that helped me was definitely not someone who knew the art of the deal, as I was the only one picking out frames, and trying different mats. I know it's my painting, but heck, I need professional guidance. I have no idea what I'm doing. In the end I got a really nice expensive frame that sits proudly on my wall despite not knowing about the framing business. read more

I've had 7 posters framed here and they have done an amazing job each time. We ran into a color matching issue because I was trying to frame new posters to match one I had previously gotten done there, but the frames were slightly different colors. They were so helpful and reframed the original poster to match the others. John, Patti, and everyone else who works there are so nice and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great quality framing. I would give them 6 stars if I could. They have framed things for us for twenty-five years and always do a wonderful job. They are professional designers with good taste. They offer hundreds of style and color options. Their wood frames are really nice, so they are a little pricey. But worth it. They usually complete jobs on time and require half down to start. They know which items are in stock when ordering. You can buy photo frames and albums or artwork too. They can frame almost anything! read more

I was a longtime time Rules customer when they closed I didn't know who to have do my framing. After some time on Yelp I decided on the framing establishment despite the one negative review. I am more than happy with the price and the quality of the work it was about half the cost of Rules for framing Heather was quite patient with me while I decided on framing options. I plan on having several more prints done in the next year there. They do not have as many matts as Rules used too but I'm not sure anyone really needs that many options, and I found plenty for my needs. read more

Today was my first stop into this store. Went in to get a gift framed for my son. I was immediately greeted by KYLE and he was very helpful. He made recommendations to me on what would look good, without moving me away from what my ultimate vision was for the project. He also gave me multiple options in various price ranges in order to avoid breaking the bank. The only reason I gave 4-stars was because I felt the other woman at the counter tried to overtake the appointment on several occasions. I'm sure she wanted to help, but in most cases, Kyle had already discussed the options with me. I just felt she was stepping on his toes a bit. I am excited to see my final project!! read more

I had a very difficult piece to frame (uneven, not entirely 2D) and they did an impeccable job. The matte was cut a little too large (my fault for providing wrong dimensions), but Framing Establishment was able to work around that and frame my piece beautifully! These guys are amazing. I spoke with John on the phone and was astounded at the prices I was being quoted. The full-size movie poster they are framing for me cost half what a similar poster cost nearly ten years ago! I am impressed with their willingness to meet a budget, but also at how friendly and appreciative they are of the art that people bring to them. Quality work done by friendly people for a price that is more than fair. What else could you want in a custom framing business? I have three poster tubes bursting with poster acquired at Comic-Con that have been sitting there because I didn't want to pay exorbitant prices for poster framing. STOP. Whatever "budget" place you're about to go to for custom framing has nothing on these guys. Walk away from Michael's, people. Walk away... You will get equivalent (if not BETTER...) prices here with service and expertise that's beyond what you'd get at Michael's. I came in with two posters (each quite large) and a medium-sized canvas to be framed. All three of them cost just a touch more than the price I paid I for ONE large print at a family-owned framing store in Provo. Unreal. I worked with Sharon and she was pretty much THE BOMB. No, really. She was so considerate of helping me keep the price down--I mean, I'm not student-poor anymore, but I'm not rolling in it, either! I almost chose a particular frame that would have itself cost $100 MORE than a similar frame Sharon brought to my attention--and I liked the one she showed me so much better! In the end, I walked out extremely happy with both the price I paid and with the frames Sharon helped me choose. She was so patient in helping me get just the right ones. Everything turned out better than I'd imagined. Custom framing is a small luxury, but it is so worth it, people. I decided to go to the Framing Establishment after I received a really reasonable quote over the phone. Their customer service over the phone was fantastic, and in-store was equally as great. Ryan patiently helped us out and provided suggestions for glass, frames, and matte. A rather large custom frame order, it only took about a week for The Framing Establishment to complete the order. I am beyond thrilled with the results! The finished product was packed and wrapped with great care, the hanging wire is very sturdy, and they provided hanging utensils for the appropriate weight. They even helped me carry the frame to my car. Will definitely be back for future custom frames. It's worth mentioning they also have a great selection of standard frames available--I found two that were perfect for pieces I've been looking to frame for awhile now. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the Salt Lake valley, save your time and go to The Framing Establishment! read more

What an amazing shop! I came in the Saturday before Christmas to get some information on framing (I'd already been to 2 other places). They were super busy but still made time to help me design custom framing for some posters. The owner himself also told me he would have them ready by Christmas, even after telling him I was not in any rush! Thank you! Update: Picked up on Christmas Eve. From my "go to" frame shop, to, well they are an option. The quality hasn't changed one iota. That's 4 or 5 stars right off the bat-under most circumstances. I have changed my opinion of this frame shop. Management rolled over a member of their staff, "oh him, he left us for a different opportunity." RReeiigghhtt..." He was/remIns a youngish Korean fella who has the following qualities: A great and friendly work ethic (zingers!!) he worked on my projects like I was his own Korean grand father. I change my mind rapidly and with an Art School background, I think I'm fairly well informed. In addition I can influence otherwise sane people into signing up for the summer term at The Super Max. Go figure? Okay, okay my ADHD just burped. The Korean kid wasn't the overly charming gooey type. He was smart, funny, respectful, appreciative and the loss of his manner and skill set will be noticed by the art community and other associated customers. The Framing Establishment made the above choice, and to be fair to them, Mr. Korea may have left them for the very reasons I was told. But, That's a big maybe for me to eat. The quality here hasn't changed one iota. That's 5 stars for them, for the most part. However, I have been forced to reevaluate my desire to do business here ever again. Why is this? I will never return and that is a bit sad for me to tell you. Absolutely follow your own compass, I certainly do. Some final thoughts: they do fine work! But this work comes at a cost. As in $$$. I have taken several pieces to them, from cheap posters to expensive pieces of art, and every time they have treated each piece with the utmost care. Heather, and Patti, were excellent to work with. Found this great frame shop shortly after we moved here. Excellent customer service by Bobby on more than one occasion. Great custom framing, great ready made frames as well. Today we couldn't find a ready made frame in the right size, Bobby suggested minimalist metal frame kit that had exactly the look we were after, at a good price, and he even put it together for us on the spot. I stumbled onto this place while looking for a local establishment that could help me with some custom mats for a couple paintings I have. Every visit has been really great with everyone there being very friendly and helpful. Their prices are very fair, rivaling any of the big box stores, and the selection of both ready made and custom options was really great. I took a picture and a pre purchased frame in to get a matte cut last Thursday. I was told that I could pick up the matte the following Tuesday. Seemed like an awfully long time but whatever I said okay. Then I was told it $25 which seemed a bit steep for one window cut matte. Then over the weekend I went to Hobby Lobby to get a different matte cut for a frame. I was in and out in 5 minutes with the matte as well as it was $11. I arrived today (Tuesday) to pick up my matte and it apparently hasn't even arrived yet. Seriously? Over four days you couldn't have just cut one? I'm going to Hobby lobby from now on read more
