Let me start out by saying I was extremely happy with the workmanship of my finished product. I brought in a painting I wanted framed that I bought on my vacation. I was greeted promptly, and the gentleman was nice enough, however, I was hoping to be helped with someone who could help me design my frame. I wanted a frame that would bring out a certain color in my picture, and needed help with that. The salesman that helped me was definitely not someone who knew the art of the deal, as I was the only one picking out frames, and trying different mats. I know it's my painting, but heck, I need professional guidance. I have no idea what I'm doing. In the end I got a really nice expensive frame that sits proudly on my wall despite not knowing about the framing business.

I've had 7 posters framed here and they have done an amazing job each time. We ran into a color matching issue because I was trying to frame new posters to match one I had previously gotten done there, but the frames were slightly different colors. They were so helpful and reframed the original poster to match the others. John, Patti, and everyone else who works there are so nice and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great quality framing. I would give them 6 stars if I could. If you need anything framed, this is the place to go!

Fast, friendly and helpful! Five stars all day. An artist friend of mine gave me a print. The framing establishment had it framed and ready to go in no time.

Amazing service, I was shocked at the attention to detail and also the fact that they wanted to help me save money rather than just up-charge the project. I will always come back for framing needs.

Found Framing Establishment here in Yelp reviews, all 5 stars. Needed custom framing for some awesome prints. Ryan helped us out and based on a few ideas I had, he came up with the frame, matting and floating print ideas. Ryan did the job himself and did amazing work that you can see. I Mentioned I saw them on Yelp and got 10% off! Would recommend Framing Establishment w/o hesitation and will use them again!

I was a longtime time Rules customer when they closed I didn't know who to have do my framing. After some time on Yelp I decided on the framing establishment despite the one negative review. I am more than happy with the price and the quality of the work it was about half the cost of Rules for framing Heather was quite patient with me while I decided on framing options. I plan on having several more prints done in the next year there. They do not have as many matts as Rules used too but I'm not sure anyone really needs that many options, and I found plenty for my needs.

My wonderful collector Lisa from the Philadelphia area commissioned me to paint this huge piece…read more(40x40") depicting the place her family stayed in Paris. So many beautiful memories for their family happened right here. I enjoyed painting it so much! I finished the first painting in January 2023. I took it to Artistic Wholesale. I'd been bringing my business to them for about two years. When I expressed concern about mailing such a large piece and when I asked if they could crate it, the sales associate pointed out that the guy who did the packaging had just walked in and I could ask him. I don't recall his name. He told me something to the effect of: "we do this all the time! It will be fine." Options of archival glass, museum glass, and plexiglass were presented to me. When plexiglass was suggested, I asked how it would look, and was told that glass would look the best. This painting was created to hang above a fireplace in the collector's home. I told them where the painting would hang and asked how plexiglass would look. I was told it wouldn't look as good as glass. No one mentioned anything about risk. So, I chose glass. I again asked: will this painting be ok being shipped with the way you package it? Again I was told, "no problem! We do this all the time." Once the painting was framed, which looked fantastic, Artistic Wholesale packaged it up to what they said was "UPS standards" and shipped it out. On February 14, 2023 I received texts, videos, and photos from my collector telling me that the package was completely intact, but that the glass was shattered, the painting was cut up beyond repair, and the frame had little nicks and cuts in it rendering it unusable. I was shocked and devastated, as was my collector. She told me that the only thing protecting the painting was a layer of foam core in front and behind the painting all wrapped in plastic sheeting material with a thin layer of bubble wrap. There was NO styrofoam, packing peanuts filling the box to cushion it, or corner pieces protecting the painting. Over the last months I've tried to get Artistic Wholesale to help make this right. I wish I could get UPS to reimburse my losses, but they have told me I can't get any sort of reimbursement, because it's now past 60 days. The UPS website indicates that only the shipper (which was Artistic Wholesale) can file a claim and, to my knowledge, they never did. The first painting took me 40 hours to finish and the second one took 26 hours ....not counting all hours of communication with my collector to assure them I'll completely take care of them; buying new supplies; attempting to get the frame company to cover some of the costs for this loss, my time lost in getting more commissions (I haven't been able to take any more new commission paintings while working on this), more materials, and new shipping costs; I've also worked for hours with a lawyer to try to get the owner of Artistic Wholesale to help out. The owner responded taking zero responsibility for what happened. Here's how I'm handling this situation for my customer: I've repainted the piece and am getting ready to ship the painting to a new framer near the home of my collector. I was fortunate to find a Fort Knox-type-impenetrable tube (from the kind people at Sugar House Awning) in which to ship the new painting. I'll roll up the painting, cover it in bubble wrap, and seal it inside this tube, then ship it off with the maximum insurance. This situation makes me sad, frustrated, and very upset that after YEARS of having a great relationship with Artistic Wholesale that the owner doesn't seem to care. However, it demonstrates to me, as a small business owner and consumer, the paramount importance of excellent customer service and taking responsibility for damages and unhappy clients. I'd recommend using another framer for your framing needs. I cannot in good conscience recommend coming to Artistic Wholesale because they don't own up to their mistakes nor do they take care of their customers when mistakes are made.

We returned to let them know, and the manager told us "straight is a matter of perspective" which made us scratch our heads, because, umm, have they have never seen a globe? The department manager also said "you didn't give me any instructions on how to place it on the mat". Welp, you didn't ask, and I've never had anything custom framed before, but way to try and gaslight your customer. Anyway, they said they would try to fix it, so we left it there for another week, and all they did was flip it 80 degrees & reposition the hanging wire. When we went to hang it on the wall, we noticed how terrible and not flush the corners are, I've attached photos to show how crappy the construction of the frame is. $430 bucks later, very dissatisfied with the quality and the customer service and have no hope they would correct this and do it right even if I took it back again. Also, apparently no one wanted to sign their name to the quality promise sticker on the back, so that seems worthless. Needless to say, way over priced and they did a horrible job on this frame. 11/10 do not recommend.

We had gotten our floors redone, and as a result our base boards were pretty torn up. After deciding to keep the base boards we had low expectations on what the final result would look like. For what was contractually outlined as a 6 week project (from start to finish), it took about 7-8 months to get halfway done. We moved to a pay-as-you go structure after about 6 months, where he took two last payments from me (which added up to the progress payment he was looking for) and then he stopped responding to me altogether. Along the way, I would check in (on a weekly basis), and he would tell me he wasn't able to make it that week for various reasons that didn't seem to add up (eg, saying he got snowed in - even though the weather app said sunny and 65°). At one point, he had finally admitted that he took other jobs and had been blowing me off, but said he was quitting those jobs to start on mine (this was good since I had paid him half upfront and was getting worried). At first, it seemed like he was telling the truth, because for the next month or two after that, he got a lot done. But, ultimately, he ran out of steam and I ended up with half a project and having to find a new contractor to finish it up (again, he completely disappeared and stopped responding to my texts/calls altogether) Difficult for me to comment on the quality of the work since everything was half finished (tiling without grout, light fixtures dangling from the ceiling, appliances not installed, cabinets never built, etc). The paint was fine enough - not too much that can be messed up on that. And the light switches seem to work (though they're all dangling out of the sockets as well). I'd caution he's lacking severely in integrity/honesty, so if you decide to work with him, I'd suggest structuring a deal that keeps him incentivized/motivated to work. If you rely on honesty/empathy you may run the risk of getting burned. Most of all, I would recommend avoiding working with him if you don't have the ability to check on the project, in person, on a regular basis (say, twice a week or so). And I'd suggest you get solid evidence of work being complete before making payments.
