If you're thinking of booking a moving company, Real Men Moving should be your first choice, period. We have used their services twice and both times have been really happy with them. The first time was the first time I used a moving company and was blown away by how quick they were. Even though, I'm not really too concerned about my stuff, they secured it all really well in the truck and handled it all with care. They were also very careful maneuvering inside and out of each residence. The second time was great as well. These guys don't mess around. They work and hustle. So, if you really enjoy people that stand around and twiddle their thumbs wondering what to do, these aren't your guys. If you value a strong work ethic, guys that get it done, and get it done right, these are your guys. They are also really nice, and I don't think they're fake nice just because it's the job to be nice. Advice for your move: 1. Be prepared - Have everything that can be boxed, boxed, binned or toted, and labeled for rooms they are going... That's a no brainer. They'll move loose stuff, but you're just wasting their skills and time on those things. 2. Get out of their way and let them do their thing!! If you start messing with their flow, it's just going to take them longer. Just trust in the process. If you by chance try to get involved, you very well might be slowing them down, so you have to be really cognizant to not be in their way. Seriously, they move fast. 3. At the destination, someone needs to be Johnny on the Spot telling them where to go with furniture or boxes that don't have a room label on it. This just helps speed up the process. I can't recommend Real Men Moving enough. Something that might have taken you and some friends or family a long time to do, is cut in half or to a quarter, or heck, it might be 10% of the time, I don't know, but what I do know, when they show up and start rocking, I'm super happy, and then, at then end, I'm kind of sad their leaving, but then I'm happy when I walk into the new place and am like, what just happened, how the heck did all my stuff magically appear here in no time flat? Do yourself a favor and book them before someone else does when you need them! read more

We hired Doug and his crew to move all of our furniture (we did the boxes), and I have to say, I wish I could have hired them to move everything. They were incredibly flexible with their time and scheduling - I called on a Thursday afternoon and initially booked them for a Saturday, then changed my mind and decided to do Friday evening instead from 7-10 pm (which I'm glad I did, because it helped make the most of our time that weekend!). Doug was a good sport about me changing the schedule on him, and his crew was even able to come an hour earlier since they finished a previous job sooner than expected. They finished moving all of our furniture in 2 hours and 45 minutes. They were not only professional, but good natured guys who took care of several of my antique furniture pieces with great love and care. These dudes are super strong too - they were able to pick up some furniture pieces so easily that would have taken us an hour to move. I would highly recommend these guys in a heart beat. They walked in ready to work, and got it done, and were some of the nicest people I've met. I would give them an 11 on a 1 to 10 scale for sure. Thank you so much!! read more

Doug and Matt were an unexpected but welcome Father's Day gift for my husband this year! These two guys are wonderful!!! I don't know how any moving company could be any more accomodating than Real Men Movers!! We had arranged for the company to move us on the 25th but our closing date got moved up to the 21st. I contacted Doug in a panic to see if in any way possible, they could help us move within two days, knowing that the chances were slim to none. Within about 15 minutes he answered that YES, they could get us moved on Sunday the 19th! Our team consisted of Doug and Matt and just wow!!! They are hard working, fast, super positive, funny and courteous guys who made this crazy and chaotic weekend so much more bearable! Our move was temporary into a second floor apartment from a two story home. They took most of our things to storage then continued on to the apartment to drop off the rest of our belongings. We will DEFINITELY be calling them back to help us move again in a few months when our new home is ready for move-in and are less stressed knowing we will be well taken care of! We moved to Austin and were completely overwhelmed by the moving process. Since we moved from out of state, we had no idea how much room we had in our new apartment and ended up having way too much stuff. The guys from Real Men Moving were polite, hard working, understanding and completely accommodating. Every time we would get in their way or decide that something needed to be moved from one spot to another to make room for more incoming stuff (this happened A LOT}, they were so nice about it! I don't know how to write an adequate review for how wonderful these guys were. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who is moving and needs trustworthy, hardworking and above an beyond professionals. We ended up tipping double of what we originally planned because there was no doubt in our minds that they earned it. I would shout their praises from the rooftops if I could!!! I posted my review already on Google Maps, but I feel they deserve to have that review here as well: these guys arrived PRECISELY at the scheduled time (I mean super precisely, up to a minute)! Signed papers, showed them what needs to be moved and they started within 1-2min from arrival. They were extremely quick, loading 4 boxes at one go to the truck. They worked tirelessly 100% of time, no brakes. But that's nothing, imagine my surprise when each of them was bringing 4 boxes at one time, up by stairs to a 2 story building. Simply amazing. It would took me whole day or two to do what they did in 2h. If I'll move again, they will be my choice. Oh, forgot: they did use masks all the time. Imagine lifting up 100lbs of boxes, dozens of times AND wearing a mask. Kudos. read more

We would give Real Men 20 stars if I could! This company is by far the absolute BEST experience we've ever had with a moving company. Not only were Doug and Josh on time (9:00 a.m. on the dot), we received a text shortly prior letting us know that they were on the way. Doug and Josh wore masks, were fast, extremely courteous and very careful with all of our furnishings. They checked all drawers and pointed out (and also apologized) the one item that sustained very minor damage during the trip. When payment time came, it was discovered that a previous order had been lumped into ours. Doug stayed on the phone to resolve the issue prior to leaving and ended up invoicing us a day later after he was sure that the bill was correct. read more

Hands down the best movers in town. They're really professional, showed up right on time, the entire move took only 45 minutes in the sweltering Austin heat. They know how to handle stuff, no damages. Very easygoing people to work with. Extremely reasonable pricing. Can't recommend these guys enough. They were extremely quick (while also being careful with all of our furniture, boxes, etc), kind, and courteous. I had 20+ boxes of various shapes, sizes, and weights and a 2 bedroom apartments worth of furniture and these guys never complained once. I have moved over 20 times in my life and never had as good of an experience as I did with Doug and Josh. They were timely, communicative, professional and thorough. Doug and his helper were very professional and timely! I was moving some larger household items (bed, dresser, night stand, etc) into a storage unit. Doug called to ask if they could bump the move to an earlier time, which was fine by us!
