I love that the food taste so fresh and the team was so nice. It was very clean and lots of food option to create what you want. I do wish they used materials that were not plastic if you are eating there. Something more biodegradable. I would for sure come back here and eat agin when I'm in town.

This place lives up to its name! It tastes just like the Sunday meal prep that you would do, but with more flavor. This place offers a make your own dish approach, but also has a few combinations in case you're stumped. I tried out the dry rubbed chicken with carrots and broccoli. I had it topped with the chili sauce, which has a bit of a kick so be careful. Overall the food was fresh and was seeming affordable!

I was initially nonplussed when my dining partner mentioned trying Real Food. Seemed like a real hassle to get to and park. But it wasn't a problem, we found parking right on the street in front of the restaurant, and best yet - the food is terrific! It's bright, airy, and clean inside. Order your "bowl" with your sides and dressing and you're done. We both had the baked falafel and between the two of us tried the cauliflower, yam, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli sides. The falafel was good but the sides are downright tasty. The entire experience was totally worth it.

Roasted salmon, carrots, Brussels sprouts, and pickled red onion. DELISH!!

The literal healthiest "fast casual" restaurant in Philly. It's beyond celiac gluten-free certified, and uses olive oil instead of trash, cheap seed oils. I just got the salmon w/ brown rice, Brussels sprouts, roasted carrots, and a wonderful vegan pesto topping. 10/10 meal, I put "fast casual" in quotes because the quality of the food is on par with fancy pants upscale restaurants. It's more expensive than chipotle, but you get what you pay for! Finally, the workers were so cheerful and sweet. Service with a genuine smile.

Delicious food, well cooked -- so nice to have a place for healthy, customizable options!

Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere with lots of seats and unbeatable proximity to the PATCO! This is my first time in the city and Real Food Eatery was always on my list to try. I love their bevy of gluten free options and high quality veggies! The lemon za'tar chicken was tender and tasty. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Thanks for starting my city visit on the right foot!

Had one meal here. The food was very good. They have electrical outlets and Wi-Fi. Good for a quick healthy meal when you are downtown.

Can I do work here? Are there outlets, etc.

There are definitely tables and chairs for you to do some work. It definitely does not have the cafe vibe if that's the kind of place you're looking to do some work. I do not recall seeing a power outlet near the tables. Most people take their food… Read more

It's casual but you won't be out of place if you dress up. For food, we started with the crispy calamari that came with a citrus frisee salad and was already sauced up. It was a unique style that I enjoyed and much lighter than other calamari dishes I've had. The petite plateau was perfect for sharing among the 4 of us. Everything was fresh and delicious while being presented so beautifully. The cocktails I had were good. They were different from ones I typically order which I thought was fun to experiment with new flavors to see what I like. One had a pickle garnish and the other was with a non-smoky mezcal. For entrees, most of us got pasta which were all handmade and tasty. My favorite was the one with crab & vodka sauce. The cacio e Pepe & mushroom ones were also good. What stood out the most during the meal was dessert. We got the double chocolate mousse and that was one of the best chocolate mousses I've ever had! It was so gorgeous and topped with a sunflower seed praline & had tangy passionfruit sauce at the bottom which made for a flavor explosion. I was so impressed! The key lime panna cotta was also a work of art topped with candied sourdough that provided a nice crunch to the creamy texture of this dish. It was so yummy! I can't wait to go back again!

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!
