This grocery store is over a decade old. My friend used to get her car serviced at the Toyota dealership across the street. One time, after she dropped off her car, we walked over to this store to shop and have lunch at Montana's. Ah, memories! Last Monday, I was in the area to attend a farewell dinner for a dear friend. I was early and decided to drop by this store. It was windy and spitting rain. I parked fairly close to the entrance at around 7:30 pm and walked in. It still has a bright, clean vibe to the store. I checked out the top floor. There are still cooking classes happening and the washrooms are there. You can either take the stairs up or use the elevator. This store is still massive. I like browsing the Joe Fresh clothes and seeing what's trendy, because I am not... haha! There were a decent number of reduced items, such as pajamas and sweaters. I enjoyed looking at the nail polish brands and varieties. It's cheaper buying your nail polish here than at a drug store. Naturally, I looked at the snacks. I love the cookie section so much that it was tough getting me out of it. I need to try more of the fancy creme-filled cookies. I pass by this store when I head home from work. I need to drop by more often. I had forgotten how much I enjoy shopping here. (372) read more

I try not to come back here as often because I tend to buy ALOT of things. It is a super store after all. It has loblaws grocery, pharmacy, make up section, joe fresh clothing store, and many more. This is three times now I've had to throw out products I've bought from them because they are spoiled. I also saw on my last shopping trip there were a lot of expired products sitting on the shelves and in the fridges. I'm so done with this place!!! read more

Both varieties and prices of groceries are great. The price has been stable over the years here. For example, the 10lb potatoes only costed $2 about ten years ago and you can still buy it at the same price these days. The watermelon here is sweet and cheap too. They sometimes also have coke on sale ($6-$7 per box). read more

This is my favourite grocery store in the area. They usually have really good produce and the prices are pretty good. They also price match if you want to save a little more. The employees are really helpful and they have a large health food section with a large selection of gluten and dairy free products. At this location I can buy gluten and dairy free pizzas, (n)ice cream, meats, energy bars, desserts, cheese, whip cream, milk, breads, baked goods and more. They also have a large kosher section for anyone needing kosher goods. The store is kept really clean and lines move at an average speed. This is actually one spot where they could improve. Whenever I shop here I can easily end up waiting ten minutes to pay my bill, which is a little excessive. This grocery store has been renovated over the last month. For some reason the aisles feel a little bigger and they have a new section with tons of alcohol. This will be good for whenever the LCBO goes on strike and the section takes up three rows!!! The health food section is in the back right corner of the store and this location has a large Joe Fresh section where they sell apparel for women, men and kids. It's actually pretty good. I have definitely bought a few dresses here during my shopping trips. This location also has a pharmacy, walk-in-clinic and home goods. They pretty much have everything you need in one place! It's definitely the perfect place to shop. read more

I prefer to shop at Real Canadian Superstore, but there is not a convenient location to me so I sometimes frequent this location. The store manager is extremely rude and unprofessional and I will try not to come back to this store because of the level of service I received on my last visit. Hopefully you never have any issues because nobody who works here, will be happy to help or even care for that matter! read more

This store is conveniently located, has a dry clean and convenience corner available. But the produce is HORRIBLE! You manage to pick so-so items, and a day later they go bad. You can find great sales, but the meat smells like bleach. So stick to packaged products for sure! read more

Real Canadian Superstore is Loblaw's on steroids. In addition to it's grocery departments it has Joe Fresh a clothing department, a pharmacy, electronics/photo department, photo studio, club sized dept, PC Financial (bank), ready made food section, toys department and housewares. This store even has a Good Life Gym for women upstairs, and run Cooking classes too. Really the full featured grocer in the area. Watch out for the no tax event days, those are awesome because you can pick up just about anything for your house at a store like this. read more

Pros: sometimes has a good sale on meat or fish. Good huge selection. now gives PC points too. Cons: the store is so HUGE and the layout so confusing that if I only need bread and milk or a few items, I go to a smaller store. Often short staffed. prices are sometimes much higher than discount grocers (but still cheaper than full-price grocers on average) so watch prices and stock up on loss leaders and other sales. They price match to area grocers. Red price signs used to mean a sale, but recently they started putting red price signs on regularly priced items so beware of this deception. Frequently out of stock so I have to shop again later in the week to buy the stuff they were out of. Ed. They just changed the entire layout again so it's even harder to find stuff. This store puts the multi buy price in 16-pt, font and the regular price in 4-pt. font so check prices carefully and check your receipt for overcharging. This can be a good place to shop but caveat emptor. read more

During pandemic days, I have a new standard for every business I visit. When it comes to supermarkets, I appreciate less congestion, wider isles and wash stations/sanitizer in the entrance area. Sometimes the produce are picked over on weekends, so I tend to try to visit during the week. read more

I always thought that the Real Canadian Superstore was the same thing as Loblaws - so I will review it as such. This is, hands-down, my favourite Loblaws in the city. Unfortunately, without a car, I live in a land far-far-away. Not only is it huge, shiny, and new - but this place has EVERYTHING. Tons of food, tons of clothes, and everything you need for the house. It's like the Canadian version of Target. I love the home section here - I love all of their kitchen things and housewares. I love coming here to get groceries because it let's me do what I really love to do: SHOP and EAT And it's shopping in disguise because really you just came to get groceries. Real Canadian Superstore (Loblaws chain) is a good place to shop for food in the area. Price are competitive and they price match. The best price match is No Frills, since No Frills is usually stocked out of their flyer items. Which is funny, since No Frills and Real Canadian Superstore are both part of Loblaws. They are geared more towards fresh produce than Wal-Mart Honestly, the non-food items and pricing are not that good. I would rather go to Costco, Wal-Mart, or Target.. I like finding manager specials (50% off) on near-expired or discontinued merchandise. They have a PC financial, pharmacy, GoodLife Fitness for women, and photo studio within the store. Also, they have a 10% discount for students on Tuesday. read more

I always enjoy shopping at the Superstore. They have a large variety of items and all items I am looking for are usually in stock. They also have several departments so I can get quite a bit of necessities here which limits the amount of different stores I would have to visit otherwise. I do not live in the area but I am sometimes closely for work. I often will stop here if I need to get a quick bite to eat or stock up on some home necessities during a short break. The location os quite large and you can spend a lot of unintended time here so be careful. I have only been to this location during the week and I still find it very busy. There seemed to have been quite a few registers open but the lines were backed up, even the self-checkout lines were too long for the middle of the day. There's lots of parking but the location is in a busy plaza at a busy intersection. During the week it doesn't seem to be a big deal but I can imagine it is a zoo on the weekend. read more

No wonder management and customer service are clueless, if store manager Ian McKay has no idea what the customer service is and what manager should do. Normally if the shelf price for merchandise lower than it scans at cashier, - store held responsible and charges lowest price. Some companies extend apology to customer and give the item free of charge. That is also Superstore policy, which apparently store manager Jan McKay is not aware of. This guy, store manager, was rude and unprofessional, didn't say a word that he is sorry for inconvenience and for mistake they made. He just said whatever the item scans is the right price and I should pay it. I asked if there is a store owner or head office I can contact, - he stated there is no one higher then him. Really? Watch out, there you might end up paying much more than you expect. read more

This store is totally disorganized. It was about 7 pm when I visited this store. There was more employees than customers. And still the employees struggled to direct the customers to available cashiers. I didn't experience this kind of chaos in any other grocery stores. Unfortunately I needed to buy some school supplies and as it was late it was the only store I could go to, once again the staff is just horrible, cashiers make you feel like they are doing you a favor, never a hi, nothing, just standing there with a look of disgust and attitude towards you. Stopped into this Superstore as their end-of-season sales on outdoor stuff is phenomenal. Picked up an outdoor carpet for $29 (they were over $100 everywhere else I looked), plastic rattan side tables for $20, solar lanterns for $3.94......serious sales. Where this store falls shorts is their food prices. They are way overpriced. Here's an example: Green beans - $3.99. /lb....compared to $1.99/lb at Coppas Corn - 4 for $3.00.....they were 6 for $2.99 at Coppas Kielbasa - $5.99 for a small piece. Same size elsewhere is $4.99 The store was out of Heads of fresh romaine lettuce (seriously...the shelves were empty) but normally 2 for $3.00......they're $.99 at Coppas So....it looks as though clothes and other stuff is cheaper than elsewhere, but food prices are out of line with other places. read more

I'm not sure if your Gerry Fitzgerald location in North York, Ontario is the only store with this issue (from reviews, it seems to be common among all locations) but I have never seen so many products on shelves past their expiry dates. I'm not saying a few days past their expiry or best before dates. I'm talking a month or two or three! I'm a weekly shopper, usually twice a week and it's rare not to see something past the due date. Every time I do, I bring it to staff and they will either thank me or just take the product, but rarely do they go and take them off the shelf. Yesterday was a classic example. The Kraft whipped peanut butter (750g) had an expiry date of November 16, 2017, almost 2 full months! I brought it to the customer service desk and showed them (there were 1.5 cases of it, all expired). The guy said thanks. I went back this morning to pick up a cake and lo and behold, they're all still on the shelf! On a related note, two flavours of your Philadelphia Cream Cheese were past their B.B. date by almost 2 wks, and you had Kraft cheese slices that expired a week ago. I'm a smart shopper and already look at expiry dates but what about those that just put things in their buggies? You need to be accountable, not your customers. It's your responsibility to be on top of this, not ours! read more

Don't trust any of the officially listed prices. If anything is discounted, make sure you photograph the prices because they will try to charge you the higher undiscounted price. After giving them the benefit of the doubt the first 2 times, we won't be going back. There should be no reward for dishonest business practices. read more

This revew is about optics in this store. It was one awful experience. Ordered my first protective glasses there for my work . My company paid for this . The frame came out cheap. The glasses are falling off . Came back hoping to get things fixed . The lady was rude and spoke to me in very unprofessional manner . I was told to go back to my management to deal with this issues. Always clean with a huge variety of items. Can be a tad pricey sometimes but the sales they offer sometimes compensates for the prices.
