I heard about the hype on their smash burgers so while I was in the area we decided to get takeout…read moreand try. Now the prices for those smash burgers are no where near $5 as promoted on social media in the past, it's more like $12 for the double smash burger, average in price but it was greasy good and quickly came out from the pizza, sandwich and burger counter. It's everything you would want in a smash burger. I highly recommend their burgers and the fast food counter. However, I decided to try some traditional Iranian / Middle Eastern food located at their back counter. Be warned they are NOT fast food... it's very slow to come out. It seems like all the items I asked on the menu are not available. They had a Monday special and everything is sold out by like 2pm or not available. I tried to order something else and it was also not available. I ending up asking what she recommends, and said kebabs so I end up getting Koobideh which is $17 with tax comes to $19. But after I paid I found out I had to wait 15 mins but in reality maybe over 20 mins, which is kind of slow for takeout. I probably would've just skipped if I knew the food would've taken that long and just got food at the front burger counter. They didn't have any other customers there but there are a couple of Uber deliveries I see at the front and notice they are doing some Uber deals. But with at least 3-4 people working on the food at the back, it seems way too slow. When the food came out it was good, the kebab was on par with some of the Persian food I've had around the area but probably not enough for me to come out just for this. I would be curious to try the other foods that I haven't heard of before. But you'll need more coordination with a pre-order given they are slow and things could be not available (at least for the Iranian / Middle Eastern food counter). Keep in mind the staff might not speak English well so don't expect them to be able to explain the dishes and options. I was hoping I could pick up some food and maybe a bit of groceries. However, they don't have many staples like bananas we were looking for (though they have other fruit). More so specialty products, pasta, grains and seasonings. The sangak looked really good and I see they have a huge oven at the back to make it. Apparently, it's Iranian's national bread. I was very tempted to pick some up but way too much for us to finish. Probably not traditional sizing but smaller portions would be great for newbies to buy and try.

Tips: - Hyper Fresh has a fast food stall called Hyper…read moreGrill. When you walk into the store, Hyper Grill is on the right. - If you are a nut, date, or feta fan, you'll fine dedicated sections for these items. A recent Yelp experience introduced me to Hyper Grill, a fast food stall within Hyper Fresh, a cool supermarket that specializes in Iranian and international foods, including Turkish and Indian items. I hadn't visited any businesses along Doncaster for several years. I dropped by often when Cayne's Super Housewares (it was next door to this supermarket), and Hampstead House Books were alive and kicking along this street. I drove over to Hyper Fresh after work on a Thursday. Taking backroads was great. I got here in roughly 25 minutes from home. All parking spots in front of this supermarket are on a slant. There were also cars parked parallel to Doncaster, which was weird. They were all taken. I ended up parking closer to K-Beauty Outlet, which had normal parking. The entrance has a ramp. I felt like I was working out my calves walking in. If you are using a wheelchair, you'll need extra arm strength to get yourself up the ramp and into the store. Coming out of the store, you may need to use your brake! My friend, Sandy, was already in the store, perusing. I found her and we browsed before and after hitting Hyper Grill. It's cool that we like checking out supermarkets among other shared interests. We both enjoyed cheeseburgers at Hyper Fresh. They were excellent smash burgers with all the fixings, including caramelized onions. It also has pizzas, sandwiches, and more. The fries are also yummy, with a light, crispy coating. There is seating to enjoy your food. There's an area with tables and chairs. We sat by the window. It was fun perusing the grocery store. I needed to get celery. The produce was fresh. I was pleased with the selection of celery available. We saw a lot of nuts. No, not customers. Almonds. Pistachios. Cashews. A lot! This store also has an entire display dedicated to dates. I liked that you could enjoy sample dates in this store. I found triangular paratha in the fridge. I got some. It wasn't my regular brand that was flaky. It was triangular without any flakiness, which was disappointing. What was great was getting a small tub of pomegranate ice cream. It was slightly sweet, with a lot of yummy pomegranate flavour. I'm nearly done, so I may need to head back soon to get the larger tub. We looked at salt .Blue salt was going for $20. Yikes! I need to research why it's so expensive. I hope that it has special properties. As with any supermarket, some prices are cheap and some are not. I wouldn't recommend getting pop here. However, it had carbonated yogurt drinks that were decent in price. They also intrigued me. I saw channa masala seasoning and Turkish delight. It was cool seeing other international items. Sandy made a good observation that this store didn't have a whole lot of chocolate. We eventually found chocolate bar squares near the checkout area. I got a milk chocolate bar that was yummy. There's a meat shop in the back left of the store. There was a lot of feta cheese to look at, too. I look forward to returning. I liked seeing the jam varieties in this store, from fig to rose petal. The man at the checkout was so nice. I paid for my goods with a credit card. He put my items in a bag. It was a seamless transaction. I had a wonderful experience shopping here. Perhaps when I'm heading home from work, I'll drop by again and fetch my groceries here. (151)

That's until we met some of the miserable ladies behind the food counter at Super Khorak. I waited there for 30 minutes for my food. At one point, I turn and see the employee who took my order whispering in another one's ear while looking at me. I told my partner something was going on. I thought maybe they burned our food. Finally we went to the other end of the counter, realizing there was another pick up section. One of the employees asks for my number. I search my pockets and realize I've lost the receipt. I tell her. She rolls her eyes and storms off. Comes back and barks "what did you order?" I tell her. She says "I called your number 10 times." They knew it was our food! They saw us standing there for more than 30 minutes. What the heck? Then she goes over to some new lady behind the cash whispering while gawking at me. At this point I was at my wit's end. I go over there and say 'excuse me. Is there a problem.' New lady smiles and says "no, no problem at all." I finally get my food. But this whole experience made me lose my appetite and ruined what was up to that point an amazing day. Don't bother. Go next door to Super Arzan. Hopefully they won't ruin your day.

Most of their specials seem like regular price to me. Produce section looks fresh and lots of Asian produce and options, reminds me of a T&T with less packaged good options. They do have regular customers from being next to a condo and do have everything you need for an Asian grocery haul. A good spot to pick up a couple of items if you happen to be in area, but I wouldn't say it's a draw to come here. Occasionally they have ready to eat items on sale which I tried a while ago. I don't know if I would recommend it given they are sitting out on a table at room temp, your mileage may vary. Note if you spend less than $10, 25cent charge is incurred on card transactions so bring cash if you have a small haul.

However, yesterday (March 8, 2026), my husband had to return a pomelo as it had fungus growth on one end. My husband did not see this rot as the pomelo was in a fancy pink bag. The girl at the return counter was rude to him when my husband asked why they did not check their produce and she even refused to call the manager on duty. Yes, a few of the check-out cashiers don't respond or interact with their customers, we have noticed that for many years. Perhaps store owners should train their cashiers how to engage, greet and acknowledge their customers.
