I realize he could only offer to do so much within the rules of the company he worked for, but we were grateful for his honesty. He did not try deceive us into paying for an entirely new AC unit as a contractor who came by just before him did. Instead, he went right to work by replacing the capacitor and activating the unit first to see if the AC compressor even needed replacing. Thankfully, it didn't. Our AC stopped working, yet Mario did not rush the job even though it was very hot that day. He first ran a meter test to make sure the thermal switch inside the compressor was making contact before replacing the capacitor. Then he then proceeded to reactivated the AC and and check the temperature of the inside vents to see if cool air was coming out them properly. After he established that it was, he then offered my mother a senior discount, knocking the price for the new capacitor down from $497.00 to $397.00, which we were very grateful for. He was also very polite and easy to get along with and took the time to answer our questions. I just wish there were more contractors out there that were as sincere and knowledgable as he was. If you decide to use this company, ask for Mario. I had them set up in my garage so they have a clean flat surface to work on. They left my garage spotless. They had to install a new furnace and AC unit in my attic. It was 105 out and 130 in the attic. They never stopped or complained. They set up fans and got to work. They also installed a new X-Series outside. Wow this massive 5 Ton unit is quiet and thin. It is running in the other side of a wall and I cannot hear it. They took 6 hours to remove and install, test and clean up. That was impressive. David our sale rep was also great. He helped us get a deal we could live with. I also op-ed in the maintenance plan so I could keep a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Peace of mind to keep this running smoothly. I will use them again. The cost was fair. $14k- $18k depending on options. I called 4 other places and they couldn't match the cost and warranty.

They just left it sitting up there tucked under the insulation. I called QuietCool and got transferred to customer support where nobody ever answered. Emailed them too. Nothing. The fan itself is fine, but if you buy a QuietCool, I'd definitely have someone else install it. And apparently check the attic when they're done.
