I can describe Xtreme Heating & Air Conditioning in two words... OLD SCHOOL! These guys restore my faith in good old fashioned "customer comes first" service. They originally came out to R/R my 18 year old Carrier Infinity AC system with a new Bryant and Connex controller. Awesome unit and extremely quiet. While they were here I had asked Mark if he would reattach the two relatively new Quiet Cool house fans which were poorly installed by another company. There was a slight miscommunication on "my" part and only one fan was reattached. I voiced my concern with Amanda and after talking with Mark, they came back out and reattached the second fan at no charge. No haggling, no excuses. They simply wanted me to be 100% satisfied. You don't find many companies like these anymore. James and Johnathon came out just like before; on time, polite, professional and did an excellent install. Caution, be aware this company has an obscene 330% markup on parts. We needed to have the start capacitor replaced, they charged $130 for just the capacitor when retail on these is $20 to $40. They did perform quick next day service, and the technician was pleasant to do business with. When I called to confirm, because I thought this must have been an error, they confirmed $95 for 1 hour labor, and $130 for the capacitor. There could have been many ways this could have been written up to make them not look like crooks trying to take advantage of people who may not know the difference. I was also in the market to upgrade the entire system to a 5 ton unit, but not when they markup hardware like this. read more

I really appreciated xtreme heating and air and the tech Ryan who came out this week to look at whether we could move our air conditioner to get better efficiency. He was professional and honest and not trying to convince us of anything but very honestly told us our conditioner was too small for the size of our house. While we could not afford to purchase anew one and being of advanced age, we knew we had no option on this. But so thankful to Ryan for his honesty and understanding of our situation. Matt came to investigate a heater issue with rain water being backed up in our flute. He was super quick to diagnose and propose very honest solutions. He was very objective on how to best approach the problem. Lucky for us, the solution involved some pretty straight forward fixes. He didn't try and sell us on some unnecessary solution but instead found a creative middle-ground fix for us. My last review was in June of 2022. I'm still here! I just had my attic HVAC unit serviced due to a leak. They're almost done with the job. They responded to this job like all of the others...promptly. I watched this house built in 1996 and Xtreme has been the only company to take care of my HVAC/AC equipment. It's still working well. On one occasion, Mark told me that I didn't need to replace equipment just yet, which turned out to be a big moneysaver. We opted to replace our 16 year old HVAC system, which had experienced some "issues". Mark initially visited our home to survey existing equipment and our needs then provided a very reasonable estimate in writing, which we accepted. Amanda, the office manager, is great to work with, and guided/scheduled the entire process. The installers.....Clint, Mike, James.... were outstanding, on-time, very respectful of our home and property. The tear out and installation was carried out rapidly, professionally. and cleanly, with very little disruption of our lives/routines. Amanda then scheduled a HERS Rater test (required by the State) for us, pulled permits, and scheduled the final inspection...all without a glitch. The new system works beautifully....much quieter and more efficient than our old one. We would HIGHLY recommend Xtreme and it's staff...they are consummate professionals. read more

The last company who attempted to fix our heater 10 yrs ago said we needed a whole new heater. At that time, we couldn't afford a new heater so we went to Google online and fixed it ourselves. When my heater broke this time, I was worried that I would be told to get a new heating system again. I called Xtreme and they said they could come out in a half hour for my estimate! Unfortunately, I wasn't home but they came the next morning. The repairman knew exactly what was wrong. He patiently fielded multiple questions from my husband during the repair. He didn't just take the easy way out and tell me to get a whole new heating system. He fixed it and I'm nice and warm! Great company to work with, came out explained everything to me that they wanted to do. We worked on some things added a entire new system as well as replaced all the Duct work in the house. **Amending this review at the request of Xtreme Heating & Air Conditioning. We called Xtreme, not because our A/C units were broken, but because our guest room addition wasn't getting as cool as the rest of the house. They came out and serviced one unit and when they left on Friday afternoon, the other unit wasn't working anymore. We were baffled because it's worked well for many years and all of a sudden nothing. So we called and e-mailed and got no response. The company does not have voicemail nor do they have after-hours or weekend service. As a result, We spent a long, hot weekend in Temecula during a 100+ degree heatwave sleeping on air mattresses in our living room (the only cool room in the house) until we could get them back out. We were really frustrated. When they did come out, we were charged $100 for the follow-up visit. The first service call was $300. I encourage Xtreme to improve their customer service, especially during peak times when people really need their help. We have a pregnant daughter and both she and I were Xtremely uncomfortable while we waited three days for a call back. My husband had to burn more time off from work to be home for both service calls. In the end, it was just a sub-par experience. Giving 2 stars because they finally did e-mail me and their service guy was nice. But, they did not apologize for the inconvenience. read more

We have used Xtreme for many years, early on to keep our VERY old system running, to installing brand new systems at 2 different homes. We have always received on time, friendly, expert service, and have been very happy with Xtreme. Yesterday, Sunday July 15th, that happiness increased to stunned elation. Extreme had installed a brand new complete heating & A/C system about 14 months ago. Worked flawlessly until yesterday afternoon when I noticed the house was getting warm, then saw the unit in the back yard wasn't running. I called their office which is closed on weekends & left a message for Monday. I then noticed that I had Mark, the owner's, phone# (from when the system was installed) & gave him a call, not really expecting a reply (it's now about 3PM Sunday afternoon. About 7:30 I received a text from Mark, saying he would be here @ 8:00. Upon arrival, Mark began troubleshooting & within an hour, had found the problem & fixed it (clogged condensation drain pipe, which I learned shuts off the compressor when backed up). By now it's about 9:00 on a Sunday evening. Unbelievable. The Company owner who, more typically, gives estimates, designs individual systems & performs administrative tasks, shows up as the technician on a Sunday night. And fixes the problem. AT NO CHARGE. Still shaking my head. Always believed Xtreme was the best, they just raised their own bar, which was already high. Next time you have a heating or A/C issue, give Xtreme a call-you'll be glad you did! read more

We just had all of our ductwork replaced by Xtreme Heating and Air. I wish I could give them 10 stars! From the initial diagnosis by Matt to all the work done by the guys they were complete professionals. They were here every day when they said they would be and were considerate of us and our house. The work areas were cleaned every day and the disruption was minimized as much as possible. They came out and did everything in one day, and did a great job! Fast foward several years later, our AC had been working great and then all of a sudden stopped. He was able to troubleshoot the problem right away. Though the part he needed wasn't on his truck he called around and found it available in town. He scheduled the follow-up appointment to work around my schedule. When he returned he was not only on time, but he was early.
