After more than a few AC techs coming out to diagnose and suggest repairs or a brand new AC compressor unit Todd came out and properly communicated and educated and fixed the issue. his pricing was reasonable and work was completed timely within the day worked out so well that I hired him to come look at another AC unit that sounded old and needed work done but after some Education, he insisted the unit was working fine. TLDR: Overall, service was great and cost was reasonable. I will only go with Frosty's moving forward for any future AC issues. I could not be happier with the service I received from Frosty's. We had just come home from a long day of shopping only to find the vent blowing warm air. I thought it was just doing that as we had been running it all day. So we left the AC off and attempted to use it the next morning. To our dismay, it was still blowing warm/hot air. Considering that day and the rest of the week was going to be a scorcher, I quickly sent out quote request to various companies. There were some that charged a flat fee just to diagnose the issue. I eventually found Frosty's as it was highly rated so I decided to give them a call. I spoke with the owner, Todd directly and he told me he could have a service truck out there before noon. He notified me when he was on his way. Upon arrival, he was able to identify the issue quickly and gave me a reasonable cost. I agreed and the work was completed quite quickly. He was also accommodating to my request when he needed to check the unit inside the house (no shoes in the house ^_^). I was taught something new about routine maintenance by cleaning the filter every so often. Next time, there's an issue with the AC unit again, I know who I will be contacting. 10/10! read more

After calling several companies that wouldn't be able to come out and fix my AC until the next day (unless you pay a additional $199.00) Frostys came out and fixed mine ! It was reasonably priced as well. After a couple of days it started blowing warm air again. I texted him and he came right over. It was my breaker. A regrettable update to my former glowing review - and why I would avoid Todd of "Western Air Conditioning Inc." I urge anyone to read this before hiring this clown. Him and I had a severe disagreement on the job he did (for brevity sake). This review won't focus on the work he did - but on his people skills and his attitude. The first red flag was - he never sized the unit - he bought it and then kinda just stood like a deer in headlights when it never fit through our entryways on time of install. He should have sized it like a professional...but shocker...the first major red flag indicating Todd isn't ...well: a real professional in my opinion. The issues however - began AFTER he installed the unit. When the A/C unit was blowing hot air - he made me wait 2 weeks cause he was booked, even though he should give priority to existing installs. I'm guessing it's because he makes zero dollars on a warranty call as opposed to selling people more Goodman units which may be for a profit/commission on actual service calls. Now - the real issue with Todd: his attitude - imagine a manchild basically. Shocking, I know! That a sole business owner would have an attitude..HMMM Perhaps this is why he runs his own business! So that there's no accountability for his demeanor/attitude? My opinion of course about solely him. Plenty of people run sole-owned businesses with class and decorum. Initially - when I told Todd the A/C blew lukewarm - he seemed to treat me like I didn't know what I was talking about - as if he or someone needs to go to Harvard to stick probes into vents. At one point he even texted me with "Well, you seem to be a technician" sort of jargon. His ego is insanely inflated in my opinion - and he does not like it when concerns of a constructive nature from customers are brought up, even if I made it abundantly clear I am not trying to be an expert in this. The amount of times he had to come out to deal with this would have had most people kind of throw their hands up and give up - but not me. Again his final visit - he was in denial the whole time there's an issue. When I inquired about something he simply replied "I don't know you tell me. You tell me why." (implying I think I know everything just because I'm bringing up valid points here of concern). Again - that whole "you think you're the expert" thing is tiresome - and he's full of that attitude if you dare even inquire about 1 legitimate question that may challenge his viewpoint or preconceived notions. When someone with a huge overinflated ego with delusional levels of confidence seems to think they know everything and nothing can ever be their fault - you usually have to hit them with the harsh truth. How do you explain the UPSTAIRS Unit barely being on 3 hours to reach 72F which is what the DOWNSTAIRS UNIT CAN'T EVEN DO LOGICALLY despite the upstairs unit being years older and it being hotter up there? A real long pause from Todd, visible frustration - because in my opinion he knew he couldn't snakesoilman / BS his way out of that one. He didn't respond - and I inquired again "How do you explain the upstairs unit working better and faster than the brand new downstairs unit where it's generally colder?!?!" Todd snapped "OK if you're gonna raise your voice, I'm walkin' outtah here!" Yes - my voice slightly raised because his condescending BS gets to you out of frustration - but I know I held back a lot compared to most people if they were in my situation dealing with his stupidity. Highly unprofessional, but at this point I expected nothing less from Todd. Not surprising he couldn't answer it - because there IS NO GOOD ANSWER to that. An in-depth dive on the company we made the check to "Western States Property Services Inc" - SHOCKER - they don't exist. Furthermore - Western Air Conditioning Inc. on Google is stated as located on "29701 Collier Ave, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530" - an address in the middle of a road - where there is no building - just an ARCO near the deserted Outlet Mall by the freeway. He also apparently has a Fontana location inside a health clinic "16854 Ivy Avenue, Fontana CA 92335"! This should tell you A LOT about Todd - the fact he doesn't list a real address for his business is suspicious to me! I'm sure it would be to many people... Furthermore - the California Licensure board shows no valid license for Todd - aka he's not licensed - a major red flag. Check out the images of him telling someone off who criticized his prices. Check out a former review buried deep of someone mentioning his poor attitude. Yikes. As it currently stands - Todd I am sure you're reading this and the tiny wheels in your small mind are turning up a dumb and incomprehensible answer to my review. I cannot express how positive my experience was. Even though we were in an unprecedented heat wave Frosty's was unbelievably responsive, professional, and fair. With temperatures well over 100 degrees air conditioning repairs had to be out of control. I called over dozen contractors and Frosty's was the only one to not only take call, but to make a promise of next day service. I called in the evening and they were at my door before lunch the next day. They could have easily took advantage to up charge or claim repairs that were not needed. Todd saved us from this extreme heat and humidity. Amazing experience! I called Todd after realizing our AC is not blowing cold air. He picked up immediately and said he can come by later the SAME day. Knowing how hot it's been and AC techs are all tied up, this sounded too good to be true. But it was true. Todd came by the same day and ran some checks on the health of the ac unit. From the capacitor to the compressor fan in the downstairs unit fan and also the Freon levels. It turned out to be the fan inside the attic on the 2nd floor. I felt bad as the inside of our house was over 90 degrees. And the attic must have been 110! I dared not to check it out myself :) Todd ordered the new attic compressor fan and was able to come by the day after to install the new fan. We were also running low on Freon which was replaced. A new capacitor was added because it was making a loud clicking noise upon turn on. Overall, this is as good as an experience I can ask for. I highly recommend Todd/Western Air and will definitely request again for our future AC needs. read more

This review is mixed. My central AC unit is 25 years old and it quit working one day. I figured it was old and needed to be replaced. After getting some estimates to replace it - roughly $10,000, my wife calls Todd from this outfit & he explained that most all units are repairable and should be a few replacement parts that are cheaper than a new unit - give him a shot and see what he says. He was right! It was the capacitor and relay switch. Two parts and he quoted me $525. I said go ahead without thinking about the price of the parts themselves. After about an hour of his time, diagnosis, and systems check, all was good. I didn't think twice about the cost because it is far less than $10k, it was 100 degrees out, & I wanted cold air. But after thinking about it for a while, it dawned upon me that these 2 parts couldn't have been hundreds of dollars - even with labor & overhead. The parts weren't even noted on the invoice. So, I looked up the parts online and they're between $17 - $30 for each one. So, he was honest in his diagnosis and knowledgeable. I also believe he does good work and will shoot straight with you on fixing or replacing your unit. What I'm struggling with is the $525 price tag for something that should have been a few hundred bucks. Even with the parts mark up & an hourly rate of $30 - $40, it shouldn't have been $525.
