I swear I've left a review for this place. I have been coming here for 14 years. I don't get up here as often as I'd like but it's always a treat when I come in. Pizza by the slice, always a good selection when I come in. Very homey. They have rc and hires root beer. I'd call the service very authentic and I've never had a bad slice of pizza.

Mouth watering anchovy pizza.

I pick up slices from here on the regular now. For family members and myself. I have become the Ray s delivery person for them.the crust is amazing. Crispy. The topping are great especially anchovies. They are not cheap with them either. So I don't understand the 3.2 rating at this moment. The pizza is definitely a 5. The older lady and young lady are a delight to deal with. However another person not so much so maybe a ratings drop because of it.

Even with so many Ray's pizzas, this is my favorite. Ray's Pizza in Scottsdale delivers a classic pizzeria vibe with its cozy, no-frills interior. The warm lighting and checkerboard floor invite you to slow down and savor the nostalgia. Tucked along the wall, the menu boasts a tempting lineup of Italian-American favorites, from calzones to specialty pies. I started with an order of garlic knots, which were perfectly golden and drenched in a generous coating of garlic butter, served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. It was a perfect balance between crispy edges and soft center. Next, I tried a classic cheese pizza slice, a true test of any pizzeria's mettle. The crust was just thin enough to fold but sturdy enough to hold the tangy tomato sauce and gooey, bubbling mozzarella. The standout, however, was the pesto pizza slice. The basil pesto was fresh and fragrant, paired with creamy mozzarella and a dusting of Parmesan that tied it all together beautifully. Ray's Pizza captures the heart of a neighborhood pizzeria, blending tradition with quality. Whether you're a local or just passing through Scottsdale, this spot is worth a Try the pesto pizza--you'll thank me

Ray's delivers some of the best pizza in the Phoenix area. Both pizza types have a crispy crust, quality ingredients, and big flavor. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, they're fair for the quality you get. One cool bonus: their selection of old-school fountain sodas adds a nostalgic touch to the experience. If you're a pizza fan, Ray's is absolutely worth the stop.

This place is cranking out some top notch N.Y. style pizzas. This is definitely my new slice spot. I went in and grabbed some slices after hearing about this place for so long. I got a sausage and pepperoni slice. It doesn't get much better than this. Sauce is flavorful, dough was thin and crispy. Perfect amount of cheese. I never had super thin sliced Italian sausage on a pizza but it worked so well. Also grabbed a slice of the Sicilian. Went with pepperoni. Light and airy with a nice crispy bottom. Tons of cheese and pepperoni and the sauce was great!!! Highly recommended!!!!m

The hostess was very friendly and led us back to the community table near the bar. Our server/bartender was busy at the bar and taking orders. No smile, a no- nonsense personality which is fine, just not friendly at all. My husband and friend decided to do beer flights. They enjoyed except for one of the beers they said had no flavor. I opted for a Tito's dirty martini which is my favorite drink. They enjoyed the beer flights but unfortunately when my martini was delivered, I swore the glass hadn't been properly washed as it had a sweet, coffee taste. I let our server know and she immediately took it and said she would make another which was great. I did see her grab a new glass. Unfortunately the new martini tasted exactly the same. Almost like a terrible espresso martini with olive juice. It was not drinkable. Either she didn't know how to make a dirty martini or the olive juice or vermouth went bad. I couldn't stomach the drink and felt nauseous so left it. We ordered a Chef's Board. Cheese selections, plus pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, mixed nuts & fruits, olives and fig jam. They missed the nuts, fruit and olives. The meat and cheese were good but it was a basic board. We should have ordered the pizza instead as everyone around us had a pizza and it smelled delicious. Our first visit was not the best experience, however, we may give it another try and check out the pizza instead.

I don't know if there is parking specifically for this location but there was street parking. We went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't too busy but I bet when Old Town is popping that parking could be a challenge. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night but we only waited a couple of minutes for the server to seat us, and a couple of more minutes for the server to come over. My son got a sausage and pepperoni pizza and I got the Tuscan Veggie. It did take a bit for the pizza to come out and my son was a bit hangry but once it came out we realized it was so worth it -- although my Tuscan Veggie was pretty garlicky -- I was breathing fire after that -- luckily I didn't have anything else to do LOL. I also got the lemon arugula salad which was very tasty!! Besides the garlic breath and the bit of a wait, we were very happy and full when we left the restaurant. We will be back for sure.

The chicken was juicy and tender, lasagna was creamy but not too greasy, the rigatoni was full of flavors (spicy, lemony, and fragrant), and the fried seafood had a light batter. Not to mention the tiramisu - you could feel the coffee and mascarpone melted in your mouth immediately. I would say since this is a global chain, their Italian food is globalized in a way that some Italian tastes are gone. But still , you can tell the food is high quality and the chef put efforts in it. We also liked the Italian vibe in the restaurant - really bright and inviting. Overall, a great place to hang out with family and friends to get some Italian taste!

The real deal Italian from Naples! 2. Pizza was simple and very good 3. They have ricotta gnocchi (preferred over the heavy potato gnocchi) Cons 1. A lot of the food on the menu was very pricey. The pizzas and pasta without protein were a more reasonble price. 2. Very dark and empty inside the restaurant (this may have been because it was late).

Because the patio was all covered, and it was not but two tables with customers, the staff spent more time on their phones and drinking Starbucks rather than doing stuff or working behind the scenes. Our server was amazing. The rest of the staff who were waiting for customers to come in spend their time standing around and on their phone. For not having a lot of people in the restaurant, our water bottle was never refilled, our appetizer plates were not removed off our table before the guy came to put down two pies so I had to move plates around. It was almost like it was a burden us being there. The lady who was making the pizza, was in the kitchen, eating pizza... All visible from our table. The Alba pizza was amazing. The spinach dip was mediocre and you don't get much spinach dip for the amount of bread they give you. The fried raviolis are mediocre. The best part of this is if you're looking for a piece of pizza or a pie, the price point is decent. I would have upped the stars if the staff actually cared about the customers that were actually there to eat. This was the first time there for us and we probably won't be back.
