I ordered 12 wings - 6 boneless and 6 bone-in - with 2 different sauces. The sauces got mixed up and the order took about twice as long to make as the estimated time. I sat and waited in the restaurant and tried to block out what the kitchen staff were saying about my order and the "girl" (I'm 25) who ordered it. I got the feeling that they were annoyed I ordered two different types of wings and two sauces. I asked when ordering if this was OK, and would've changed my order if I thought it was going to be an issue. Decent wings, but too expensive for my budget. Ordered 20 wings medium sauce for pickup on Saturday. The wing sauce was delicious but the wings were pullet size ... not much meat on them. Pickup time was great and the service very cordial. Food was really good. The only problem i had with this place was that the staff didnt seem very friendly. We walked in... no greeting. My dad had asked if they had salads and the girl said "heres the menu" i had asked what condiments came on the sub, they didnt know. Also asked for no tomatoes they still put them on. You shouldnt be at a restaurant where you feel bad or feel like youre inconveniencing them for asking questions, after all, thats their job! Like i said. Good food. Bad thick crust pizza - we ordered the Taste of Italy pizza. The toppings described included extra cheese and there was less than a regular amount. The green peppers were very discolored and soggy as if they were not fresh. Garlic bread with cheese was terrible, tasted like the garlic, butter and/or oil was old. Also, regarding the website: Hard to read some of the headings because of the color choices. no description of a thick crust on the website, the photos on the website appear to be thin crust as well as Google maps description says it's thin crust. I was craving wings and the hubby wanted pizza so we decided to go to Ray's here in Anthem. We have never had a bad experience here, ever. But I wanted everyone to know that whatever they are doing, to keep doing it. The pizza was amazing, flavor, crust, size. And the wings were fantastic. Perfect amount of drums to flats and so super tasty. They have deal of one large one topping pizza with 20 wings for $21.95. We ordered 2 of those deals and walked out with the biggest large pizzas I've ever seen and 40 wings to feed 7 people in our home. We didnt even eat an entire pizza, they are that big, and had maybe a dozen wings left. They did not disappoint and we will continue to go there and eat their great food. Our first visit to Rays and I must say I'm impressed. Service was great and the food was awesome! We had large pizza and 2 sets of wings and garlic knots for a family of 4 and we had to get many to go boxes. The place is really clean and has lots of sunlight pouring in. We recently moved from Oregon, where we sadly moved away from our favorite Pizza place (owned & operated by an authentic New Yorker named Vinny). I am once again on the road for work and staying in Anthem, AZ. There is nothing here, so the restaurant finds are slim pickins'. My team and I visited "Famous" Rays Pizza since it was right behind our hotel and for pizza it was okay... how can you screw up Pepperoni pizza? The boys went for the hoagies and the lasagna - each received two thumbs up since they were stuffing their face. Bread sticks a little bland, but the bread that came out with the lasagna was the best. More people carrying out the pizza than dining in. read more

Ordered Large pie, chicken parmesan and mozz sticks. Opened the parmesan and and there was NO cheese, The mgr said that they put cheese on the chicken then cover it with sauce? It was swimming in sauce... This is the way they make it! I did not see cheese, nor understand that chicken parm could possibly be made this way. If you've EVER had chicken parm, the cheese is melted on top. Mozz sticks looked days old and fried 10 times. I wouldn't go to this place if my life depended on it. Although I'm not a huge fan of the pizza here, I love their sub sandwiches. The bread is fresh baked and very similar to Jimmy Johns, if you are familiar with them. Unlike JJ's though, the sub is bigger and has more meat. So far I have only had the "Submarine Special", but that's probably all I'll ever get from now on as it is pretty great.
