We quit going to Barros in Anthem years ago because their pizza started always being dry and bready. We thought we'd try it again and got a thin crust this time. It was just ok. We got a pepperoni and sausage and the toppings were bland and the sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce. It was edible but nothing great. We'll keep on the hunt for better pizza. Updated review: I lowered my review because management responded apologetically to my 3 star review and told me to email them so I did and never heard anything back so they obviously don't care. read more

Great pizza and wings. Fast service. Our go to pizza spot. Occasionally inconsistent with how the pizza is made (sometimes too dry, too thick, crust not crispy, not enough sauce or too much sauce and same for the cheese & toppings). Getting too expensive to deal with inconsistency. Making my own pizzas & wings now with equivalent taste and more consistent build quality. Still my go to pizza spot when we order takeout. read more

We are big fans of Barros as our neighborhood pizza place. We come often for the lunch specials (which are a great value and are delicious), sports parties, and fundraisers. We came tonight for the Boulder Creek Boys Soccer fundraiser. The staff were working really hard, like they always do, to make sure everyone was being taken care of. We decided to eat in and waited about 25 minutes for our food. Our pizza came out piping hot and the cheese had that super melty pull to it. There was a good amount of the topping we chose, which was sausage. We've never had skimping on the toppings. The thing I like best about Barros is their crust. It has a fluffy, crispiness to it. Even just the plain cheese slices have heft to them. They do also make a really good gluten free crust if you are gluten allergic or sensitive. It's one of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. If lactose is the issue, better bring some Lactaid or opt for a cheese-free version. We've also enjoyed their wings and bread stix with cheese. The only thing that would make Barros better would be a banquet room. When there are parties or large groups, it can get a little crowded and crazy in the dining room. That's why we usually come during the weekdays for lunch, when kids are in school and it's a lot quieter. read more

I notice every time we go the price increases. Now it's over $20 a person. It's by increments of $2 or $3 each time which isn't much if just done once, but do it several times in a small period of time, and things get expensive. I'm not sure what her name is but she has short brown hair with bangs who worked on Saturday 2/7 around 10:30AM. Anyway she is extremely rude. My coworkers and I went and ordered pizza and it was in one tab and her and the girl working with her (she's actually really nice) brought us the pizza and she brought a single slice and was asking who's it was and no one ordered a single slice and the only person who was missing his pizza ordered 2 slices and she got annoyed for whatever reason literally slammed the pizza on the table and said "Jesus Christ" with an extreme attitude and walked off mad came back and said if anyone needs anything else and walked away again with an attitude and everyone was so confused on why she was rude to everyone because no one said or did anything to her so for her to get an attitude with the whole table out of nowhere slamming the pizza on the table is crazy to me and super unprofessional. read more

The girl in charge of taking peoples order at check out. Extremely rude!!!! Didn't smile or say one word to my husband as he was ordering 2 pizzas and wings. I watched her as she helped others with same rude manor. Obviously hates her job! she had brown long hair with a big banana clip and a neck tattoo. Service needs to be updated. If you call your order in they obviously don't put it into their system. Instead of 25 minutes for my pizza it's now 50 minutes. It's ashamed this place use to be good for service but not now. Keeps getting worse. Very disappointed in this Barros. read more

After a long morning we were starving and looking for a quick bite. Barrow was close and sounded good. The location was easy to get to and lots of parking. Inside we were quickly greeted. They had great lunch specials. I love the salad bar at Barros so I went with that and a slice of pepperoni which comes with a drink. The salad bar isn't accessible so you have to tell them what you want, but it was so fresh and tasty as always.the pizza slice was large and baked perfectly. We love Barro's pizza....Never lets us down! It is a little more pricey then other pizza delivery places but I do feel the quality is better and worth the price. Pick up usually takes 20-30min and delivery about an hour. Everyone I have encountered staff wise has been very friendly. They also have great lunch specials if you live in the area. They have a small salad bar and sell pizza by the slice at lunch. This new location is very nice and pretty big inside. Plenty of room to enjoy pizza with a small or large group as dine in. We are pretty simple when it comes to pizza...Usually sausage or pepperoni. Lol My husband will get the hot wing pizza slice occasionally at lunch and loves that. Their wings are where my heart belongs though....We love the honey hot and honey BBQ wings! Their wings are huge and have the perfect crisp. We are never disappointed and always get fresh wings. Oh and don't get me started with their Ranch! I'm a passionate ranch dipper and Barros is on the top of my list for favorite ranch. I am pretty sure they make it in house because it's delicious and taste is unique. They do charge 50cents for each extra side of ranch but it's a large side and to me it's worth it. Update: Corporate offered me a complimentary gluten-free pizza. I had it the other night. Wow. It was so much better!! It was flavorful and delicious. I'm so glad that what ever issues they were experiencing have been rectified. They should have just closed early the night I originally ordered. The product they delivered that time was awful. This replacement pizza was so much better!!! Thanks Barros!!! Sorry Tried several times. But the pizza was not good. Over cooked and tasteless. My gf crust was hard--- almost petrified. Just awful. Obviously this company still has no clue on customer service, was told 30-35 minutes over phone, arrived 33 minutes after calling, pizza was not even started yet, was tole 15 more minutes, 30 minutes later they brought out the order, get home and wings were cold, had to microwave them to get them to temperature. If I wanted microwave my food, I would have stopped by Safeway to get a frozen pizza. Maybe it's lack of training, maybe it's incompetence, or maybe they just don't care. i am not the only one, because as I sat there waiting for my order, i counted 3 other people who said they won't be coming back on their way out the door. I guess the money is so good they can afford to treat people this way. (By the way, I worked in the pizza business in Detroit for 17 years, there are ways to handle this appropriately) read more

I love Barros Pizza. But Im done with this location. Time and time again I've placed an order and the estimated pick up time is 35 minutes. An hour later you're still waiting for your order. Every single time. Tonight I had enough when I showed up to pick up my order 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and the line was 32 people deep out the door. Not knowing if there was a separate pick up and dine in line, I called and asked if I could check and see if my order was even ready before it began to wait. They told me that not only was it not ready, but hadn't even been gone in the oven yet. 20 minutes after the pick up time. I told them to cancel the order and I left. Had this been a one-off scenario I would've excused it, but this was the final straw for me. Never mind every other incident I didn't complain about. Like when your stuff sits behind the counter for 30 minutes as you're waiting in the lobby and they never bothered to call your name out. I'll go out of my way to go down to Dove Valley who gets the order right, and on time, every time. read more

We were told our pick up order would be ready in 25 minutes, but it ended up being 55 minutes. All we ordered was 12 boneless wings. I was told "sorry for the wait". Then, I received the order and it was wrong, instead of boneless, they gave us traditional wings. So, I waited again. I finally received the right order after waiting 10 more minutes and no apology, was told "have a good one". It was definitely poor customer service for the wait and mess up. I can't even remember not having to wait at least 30 minutes for antipasto salad that was called in, waiting for 45 minutes for "lost pizza" and when "found" was cold and they would have let me take it.
