We decided on dinner here while visiting Atlanta. This place was incredible and our service was impeccable. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. They did everything right! The food. Wowsers!! So fantastic. Definitely a place to check out while in Atlanta!

We had reservations at 5:45, perfectly timed ahead of the evening rush, and once again Rays at the River delivered an incredible experience. This was our second visit, and it's clear this place knows how to make every evening feel special. For drinks, the fig old fashioned was a standout--smooth, balanced, and full of flavor. Our daughter enjoyed a classic burger piled high with shoestring fries, while Nicole and I tackled the seafood platter for four (yes, for four!) and happily annihilated every bite. To finish, the butter cake was decadent and paired beautifully with two pours of Angel Falls bourbon. A huge shoutout to our host, Mike, who was extremely accommodating and seemed to know exactly how to elevate the night. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made the evening feel effortless and memorable. Rays at the River has now impressed us twice, and we can confidently say it's always a fun, flavorful, and welcoming experience. We'll absolutely be back again soon!

Rays is a fine dining experience all around. No short cuts. A little disappointed when my wife's grouper came out undercooked. No big deal, they took it back and re made her dish, but didn't bother to take it off the check. A little surprising since everyone else at the table was almost finished before she got her re made dish. The food and service were excellent though.

Came for the v-day pre-fix menu. Food was great as usual. There was live music which created a peaceful ambiance. The staff was helpful but a bit busy as it was a holiday. We booked it weeks before and then a week before the valentine's day they shared it was pre-fix. A bit disappointing since it was too late to try and book somewhere else.

Wow! The food is so good and the river view just adds to the ambiance. Great service, too

Ray's on the River was absolutely beautiful for Valentine's Day. The river view from our table inside set the perfect romantic vibe for me and my wife, and the atmosphere was intimate and classy. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly, and the service made us feel special all night. It was the perfect place to celebrate love, and we'll definitely be back.

I made it to this Atlanta fixture in the restaurant scene. Open since the 80s they still have IT! My birthday club decided on this restaurant to celebrate one of the members birthday and it was the perfect choice. Walking into the restaurant we were by beautiful understated decor. But the view of the river was so peaceful. I got there early and initially had a drink at the bar. The golden hour was mixed perfectly. Not too sweet, just how I like it. At lunch what stood out for me was the grouper.... So moist and the crust so crunchy and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the pimento cheese fritters, so yummy. The servers there were professional, knowledgeable and very warm and hospitable. The team also brought out a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl! We truly appreciate that. Things to know: post dinner take a walk to the river there is seating for guest. Great way to wind down post dinner. Also there is lots of free parking on site.

We had a reservation for a Friday night at 8:15, very easy to get a reservation through open table. We get to the restaurant at 8:20, complimentary valet (super nice!) however we then had to wait for our table which I would expect it to already be ready by the time we got there. The service was nice, however I expected a little more considered the atmosphere of the restaurant and comparing it to other restaurants of the same caliber in the area. Our server, Will, was great! I was celebrating an anniversary and we got a free dessert and he did a phenomenal job taking photos. We ordered the rolls, mac and cheese, lobster tails, and mahi. The mahi was not really great, I got it grilled and it tasted very fishy, this could be a mistake on my part but alas I still did not really enjoy it. The Mac and cheese was too liquidy for my liking, I think baking it would be better. The rolls were delicious and so were the lobster tails. I had a good night, our table was well dressed and prepared and the valet people were very nice and speedy. However, at a restaurant of this caliber with these prices, I expected more. 3.5/5 There is also a pretty outdoor area that adds for a great atmosphere, this restaurant biggest strength.

Came here for a date night, and we were treated so well. Our server was excellent! So knowledgeable of the menu, patient with us as we made our decisions, and gave us an experience that we've never had with people in Atlanta. The food itself wasn't bad, but it was just okay. I got a crab cake. It was pretty good, but nothing special. I liked the sauce that it sat on. Same with the mac and cheese. The Brussels were underwhelming to me. A little too soggy for my liking. Wish they had a little more of a glaze but every restaurant is different. This is definitely a cute date night spot that overlooks the Chattahooche river. My stars are more for the service and experience than the food. The service, a 5, the food, 3.5.

It is incredibly frustrating when a meal that starts with such promise especially one with a "special" atmosphere is derailed by service that feels both chaotic and dismissive. There is a specific kind of disappointment that comes from spending $150 and being treated like a number in a queue rather than a guest. Being "rushed" out while you are still mid-bite, Waiting 15 minutes for water in a high-end establishment is a major red flag for "front-of-house" mismanagement. Dropping a card reader without a request especially during dessert is a tactic used in high-volume diners.

The food here was AMAZING! This is probably one of the best restaurants in the perimeter. Our waitress, Blythe, was really nice. We came here for my birthday and it was the best birthday dinner I've had. I ordered the delmonico ribeye and it was so good. The fat melts in your mouth. My husband got the colossal seared scallops. It comes with risotto and he enjoyed it. We also got a side of the lobster Mac n cheese and the twin lobster tails. The lobster tails were so good and it came with a good amount of meat. I would recommend having a seat that has a view of the river. It's gorgeous and stunning especially when the sun is going down. Don't forget to go outside after dinner and take in the view. Definitely coming back!

We were seated right away for our reservation which was a birthday celebration! Beautiful ambiance with a fantastic view of the Chattahoochee. Ken our server introduced himself and took drink orders. We had a large party of 10 so he placed that an told us about the specials and made suggestions for appetizers for our table. We opted for the hot tower which had a mix of several items.. lobster bites, bbq shrimp, fried calamari, chargrilled oysters and crab cakes. While we waited for those we placed our entire orders. Overall food was good, portions were generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. My only issue was that my poached eggs on the lobster Benny were overdone. I got a complimentary dessert for two birthdays in our party and if I needed an excuse to come back that lemon butter cake with the blueberry compote and vanilla ice cream would be it. Omg!! 1000% delicious yum After brunch we headed outside to the garden for some group pictures. A fantastic end to a great dining experience!

We had a reservation for 7PM on Saturday and the place was packed. There's complementary valet parking and self parking with an overflow parking lot down the road with a shuttle. The drink menu was great at first glance. I got the Aper-Fall Spritz and it was basically a normal spritz. I didn't taste the rosemary at all. For appetizers we got the calamari, tuna poke, and the crab cake. The crab cake is definitely a rip off. $20 for one single crab cake that is about the size of your fist. For dinner I had the scallops and they were incredible with the parmesan risotto. That and the horseradish crusted grouper were great. Dessert was 50/50. The key lime pie was underwhelming as a key lime pie lover. It was basically all cream with the essence of key lime. It wasn't like a more tart and compressed dessert and more light and airy. The star of the show was the butter cake. My biggest gripe was that at a restaurant of those prices/caliber is that we had dirty dishes/glasses sitting at the table long past due. I was sitting with my empty entree plate with dessert on the way. The manager ended up coming by and asking us how the meal was and took our plates away. I love the history of Rays but I feel that there are newer restaurants that perform better at the same caliber.

    Are kids allowed here?

    Of course.

Is the outdoor seating in late November heated and/or covered?

Both last year! Give them a call to confirm. Thanks.

I've been calling for one week now, I even left a couple messages with my name and telephone number that I need a reservation for Friday... And I've gotten no response.?

Make a reservation on open table

Is the outdoor seating area heated? Wondering if it will be too uncomfortable in December?

They have Outdoor Seating, but I am not sure if it is being used or Heated.

I didn't see any desserts listed on your website. I was told your restaurant sells Baked Alaska. Is that true?

Definitely desserts! My favorite is something like chocolate fudge brownie. Yummy. Not sure about baked Alaska.

Do they offer a happy hour at bar or patio for river view & drinks?

Traditionally, how is their Easter Brunch?

It is awesome. Anytime they do their buffet it is probably the best I ever had. I do their Mother's Day and Thanksgiving buffets every year. It is worth every penny!

    Do you need a reservation?

No but you will probably wait a long time without one

Is brunch still happening on Sunday's ? How does it work out?

I would suggest calling to find out. They were doing sit down brunch but not sure if still are..

    Do they serve brunch?

Yes, they have a fabulous brunch. I highly recommend it.

Do they brunch a la carte options if people in a group don't want buffet?

    They do not

    Is there a dress code?

    Yes, Business Casual

What's the dress code on Sunday lunch time?

At all times it's Fashionably Upscale Casual. No casual shoe wear like sneakers etc.

Wednesday through Saturday in the bar.

I don't really see any decent photos of brunch at this restaurant, but I've heard there is some good breakfast items. Can anyone confirm? Also, how would you compare breakfast here to Murphy's breakfast in midtown?

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Wanted to love it…read more The vibes are there, the staff is genuinely lovely, and there's real potential here, we just had a bit of an adventure getting through the meal. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

Beef Grill focuses on the traditional Brazilian churrasco concept -- grilled meats carved fresh and served alongside a buffet of sides. The highlight here is the wide variety of meats. Diners can expect everything from tender beef cuts and seasoned chicken to juicy pork and flavorful lamb, all grilled to bring out smoky, savory flavors. One surprise favorite is the grilled pineapple, which adds a sweet, caramelized break between all the protein. The restaurant operates buffet-style and all-you-can-eat, which makes it easy to sample a little of everything. At around $25 per person, the pricing is very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. The meats were well-seasoned, fresh, and consistently tasty, making it easy to go back for seconds (or thirds). Another standout was the staff, who were friendly and welcoming. Even during busy periods, the team kept things moving and maintained a good vibe throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere is lively and casual, making it a great place for anyone craving a hearty meal. That said, there are a couple things to keep in mind. The dining area is fairly small, so waits are common. Even after the typical lunch rush, we still waited about 30 minutes to get seated. On top of that, parking is limited, which can add a little extra time before you even get inside. Pros Wide variety of grilled beef, chicken, pork, and lamb Delicious grilled pineapple and sides Friendly, welcoming staff All-you-can-eat buffet style Reasonable price (about $25 per person) Great atmosphere Cons Small dining area Limited parking Wait times can reach 30 minutes or more Final Verdict Despite the tight space and parking challenges, Beef Grill is absolutely worth the visit. The quality and variety of grilled meats, combined with reasonable pricing and a fun atmosphere, make it one of the better Brazilian grill options around. In the end, the juice is definitely worth the squeeze -- and it's a place I would absolutely recommend.

I went in with one clear goal: the filet mignon. Five of us ordered steaks, most medium-rare, but the kitchen execution was inconsistent across the table. One steak came out overcooked to well done, another was undercooked closer to rare, while mine was prepared correctly. Unfortunately, consistency was the main issue. The steaks had a good sear and flavor, but several were on the dry side. The highlights of the meal were the starters and sides. The crispy calamari was excellent and easily the standout dish. The crab dip was also well received by the table. The bread that comes with the salads deserves special mention as well, light, slightly sweet, and very fresh, melts in your mouth. The side salads were also great. For my entrée sides, the carrots were well prepared, but the brussels sprouts were undercooked and lacked seasoning, I like a little more flavor especially on my brussels. Dessert brought the meal back up. The apple-pie-ala-mode and brownie with ice cream were both excellent and a strong finish to the evening. Service throughout the night was very good. Our waiter was attentive, efficient, and quick to clear plates. He removed the dirty dishes quicker than a UPS driver working peak-season overtime. The only downside was the dim lighting, which made it a bit difficult to see clearly at times. Overall, while the appetizers, service, and desserts were strong, the inconsistency in steak preparation kept the experience from matching the price tag. Sorry Joey - 3 out of 5 stars

By the time we left, the back room was about 85% Black guests, while the front dining room appeared to be about 90% white guests. It felt very intentional in terms of who was being seated where. Whether or not that was the restaurant's intention, the perception and impact were real. It did not feel welcoming, and it certainly did not feel like an equitable dining experience. We couldn't believe that this was still happening in 2026, in Atlanta. Very disappointing and unacceptable.

Although a bit pricey, the food is always good, and you get a large portion as well. Plates big enough to share, that's for sure! I tried their fresh fish sandwich and salad. Both were amazing, but so filling! (I'm not complaining, just contemplating) Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about all of their menu items they do have a few seasonal items that they change, but overall their staples are what I come here for. If you've never been, it's definitely worth a stop, and if you know the place - time for another round.

For the entree, I got the Brasserie Chicken, without capers and switched the side of broccoli for extra mashed potatoes. The chicken was good, but could have used a little more of the lemon sauce. The bites with the lemon sauce were delicious though. It comes with small tomato chunks on top which added a little extra juice. The mashed potatoes were creamy and had just the right amount of flavor. The portion was substantial and I took the remainder home in a to go box. The wait staff was very friendly, and although my water glass did sit empty a few times, it was never difficult to flag someone down for a quick refill. There are lots of booths, tables, and also some bar seating. We did make a reservation for this and it was moderately busy on a Saturday night. There's a large parking lot so spots are ample.

There were people in suits, but there were also people there in polished casual outfits (nice jeans and shirts), but a graphic tee, flip flops, etc., definitely wouldn't have been appropriate. The food was outstanding. They had a mushroom Brie soup that I think was a special that I'm still thinking about. The calamari appetizer was also unforgettable. I usually don't love calamari, but it was served with a sweet chili dipping sauce that made it different than a standard calamari dish. It was pleasantly crispy. My family members who ordered steaks were very pleased, but I'm not a huge steak person. I ordered the scallops with risotto. I'm picky about scallops - they have to melt in your mouth - and boy they did not disappoint. This wasn't our first choice restaurant (a few others were booked when we tried to make a last minute reservation), but it will be in the future! Also, our server was the perfect balance of attentive/friendly and giving us space. Overall, 10/10 and I'd definitely go back.

I'm one of those "people" that like my steak well-done. I rarely eat meat and can't stand the sight of blood in my food. Now, this is always a challenge because I'm either served my steak with blood or given a hockey puck. Not at Flemings!!!! Honey, that was one of THE best steaks I have ever had in my life. It was still tender and sliced though like butter. It was moist and juicy and very flavorful. The salad, bead and baked potato were all perfecto! My daughter and her friends all loved their dishes as well. They had grilled fish and ate every bite. No one took anything to go. It was just the right amount of food and too good to stop eating! Lol. They took such good care of us all night. There was a surprise champagne toast , chocolates and a card provided to my daughter. I would highly recommend them and will be back to try the braised short ribs since they were out this night. For once, a pricey place that's worth the price in ATL!!!
