Yes, it's a flat rate but no big deal. Determined my struts were broken. Literally bent in half. So I pretty much got screwed on that alignment job back home. They ordered the parts and came back according to my schedule a few days later. He showed me the broken struts in my driveway after they were taken out. Wow! Fixed the van up, told me to go get a real front end alignment and new tires and my van would be good as new. I was delighted with the service and professionalism. I scheduled an appointment with Ray and within one day he came to my home to make the repair. He texted with a 30 minute notice and was exactly on time! I requested my front brakes to be changed as the brake check engine light was on. He gave a quote that I felt was very reasonable especially since he was coming to my home and I didn't need to sit in a shop waiting on the repair. He had stopped at the parts store to purchase my brakes before he got here. As soon as he pulled up he immediately went to work on the brakes. He discovered the brakes were still in good condition and installed his diagnostic computer and found the ECM was malfunctioning. He said this was better for a dealer to repair since they could pinpoint the exact part to change out. I asked him how much I owed for the trip charge and he said no charge! WOW! Honest! Had my dealer tell me my rear brakes needed to be replaced ASAP, only 3mm left. Came across Ray's online and loved the idea of a mobile mechanic as the worst part of repairs is the scheduling. Gets to my car and I give him what he needs and go back to work. In a few minutes I get a call asking me to come out to my car. So now I thought I needed more than expected. However, he said I was lied to and did not need brakes. He showed me the new pads he brought and the ones on my car and there was little difference. Seemed like almost an inch, not 3mm. He could have replaced them and I would not have known any better. As an old guy that used to do much of his family's auto repair (and now having most of the needed tools but lack most of the needed desire and time) I appreciate not only his mobile on-site capabilities, broad experience and expertise, and very reasonable pricing, but also his willingness to when necessary do no more or less than I need or want done. My family having owned nearly exclusively used and newer used cars for decades, and in these recent years having used local dealers and small shops for regular maintenance and both major and minor repairs, I can say that unless your car is still under full manufacturer warranty, do yourself a favor and call Ray first. read more

I started a job in my driveway doing the upper and lower control arms on my 2004 GMC and frankly, I was in over my head. I could not properly re-install the lower control arms. I had a suspicion our van had an oil leak and after Ray looked at it for 30 seconds he diagnosed where the leak was coming from and showed me. They were courteous and flexible with my schedule and came out to my location when it was convenient for me. The quote they gave me was very competitive and they fixed the issue, showing me afterwards the parts that were broken and allowing the leak. Ray is an awesome mechanic - by far the most professional and prompt I've ever dealt with (and that's including any brick & mortar locations as well!). Ray arrived early to every time specified to work on my car - I had a CV axle and my window regulator/motor replaced. Within a few hours he had me up and running. Ray Gaddis came to my house to fix two cars, a 2006 Dodge caravan, and a 40 year old Dodge D100 truck. He replaced an old rusted brake cylinder then he rebuilt an old Holley 1945 carburetor. He took a piece of junk, and put it on the road again! He has forgotten more about working on cars than most 'technicians' today have even been trained on.
