The White Sox fans are hard core so be prepared to be booed if you come in anything but White Sox attire. Good food and had a great time!
Its been ages since I've last visited the White Sox stadium, now Rate Field. There have been a number of upgrades over the years and the improvements are all for the better. For one, food and drink have stepped up a lot. My cousin and I came to see the White Sox destroy the Oakland A's 14-1. A lopsided win for sure but a win nonetheless. A third of the time we walked the grounds, drank, people watched and checked out the shops. We walked past one of the lots, can't remember if it was lot G, but plenty of folks were there spending the entire day tailgating. It's pretty common and if you are able to land a spot in the lot, it's probably one of the best things you can do. We drove in but parked at the ITT lot because all the nearby lots close to 35th street dogs required prepaid coupon. The walk from ITT isin't that bad. It's like 5 minutes. We came on a clear night where they had the fireworks show post-game. I had a nice time and visiting Rate Field to watch the Sox play is one for the summer bucket list in Chicago.
Recently came to a baseball game and had a great time. Affordable tickets with great views and it was very clean. We had a great experience!
Gotta love it when the LA Dodgers take over Chicago! I went to the game on June 13th, 2026 and saw the Dodgers dominate the Sox as always. 2025 MLB World Series MVP, Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a perfect game through 7 innings. Then, Mookie Betts had an error at shortstop, and then a guy on the Sox hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th to ruin the shut out. Dodgers win 7-1. I liked walking around the park as this park might have the most statues of any park I've ever been to. I got my picture with Mark Buehrle, Charles Comiskey, and plenty of other White Sox legends. The concourses definitely feel a little tight and old. I don't know what the latest updates are on the Sox getting a new stadium, but this stadium isn't as bad as the Internet makes it out to be. Easy to get here on the train. Getting an uber to leave the game is a nightmare.
Absolutely loved my experience at Rate Field. I was excited to try new food choices, which we definitely did, and to see improvements since the last time I was there. We sat in the 300 level seats, so it was an option to order to your seat, which was very nice. The seats were excellent views of the field and scoreboard. Foods we tried: Polish Sausage- wow with the onions, yeah great Bulgogi Egg Rolls- just don't overthink it and order them, unbelievable Cookie Dough- ugh, not my thing, cold maybe would be better Sushi- great, cute, even comes with a vile of soy sauce Korean Dog- I did not try, but the friends said it was really good Nachos- GREAT, you can get them with the helmet Parking in the B lot was a breeze and you can tailgate, getting out, still a ton faster than Dodger Stadium!
First time at a Sox game and we had a blast! Sox vs Royals, we didn't secure the win and those Royals fans came out deep and proud! We all had a great time at the game! The weather was great, hot and humid lol we sat in section 152 which was perfect! Shaded area and close to all the great eats! We had some veggie pierogis, veggie hot dogs, nachos, beer and that s'mores milkshake! Omg! I was on a hunt for the milkshake and it didn't disappoint! All the food was amazing! It was easy to get to the game, very minimal traffic, parking was easy to find and a very short walk to the ballpark. It's a great ballpark, nice, clean and organized. Easy to navigate through and the concession folks were nice.
Rate Field was wonderful. RF is a baseball park the way they should be. Access was drop dead easy with the CTA. I arrived without a ticket 10-minutes before a game and was able to catch "Thunderstruck" as the game was beginning. I found the staff members very friendly and affable. Finding our seats was easy and even though we sat in the 500s our view was good. Bathrooms are ridiculously clean for a ballpark. There is easy water refilling stations throughout the concourse which made our visit on a hot day easy. The food options are tremendous as well. I can see why RF has a great reputation for food. The actual field and board are also great. I am really happy I visited with my kid. I only wish I could visit more.
Great Sunday day game experience--excellent gluten-free options and Hello Kitty fun! We visited Rate Field for a Sunday day game to catch the Sox and grab the Hello Kitty package. Overall, it was a fantastic first experience! A huge tip for anyone going to a weekend game: pre-pay for your parking. It completely sold out, so we were incredibly glad we bought ours in advance. We parked in Lot C, and it was a surprisingly short, easy walk straight to the stadium. As someone looking for gluten-free (GF) options, I really appreciated that they have a QR code you can scan for a list of concessions to see exactly what can be made GF. The only downside is that while they do offer gluten-free fries, they are only available up in the 300 section. We were seated in the 100 section, but we still had great options. We were able to get a GF hot dog and a GF pizza. The pizza is a personal-sized whole pizza that takes about 5-7 minutes to bake. I loved that they actively try to avoid cross-contamination by placing the pizza on foil. If you just need a quick snack, they also have a convenient grab-and-go section with drinks, chips, and peanuts (which are explicitly listed as GF). It was a wonderful first visit, and we will definitely be back for another game!
Good stadium. The team is trying to turn it around so better fans in the crowd. Much better young talent on the field. Fun place to be. Food was good. Ice cream was standard. Mascot photo in the kids clubhouse in the 5th inning. But you can't enter unless you have a kid!
Great Stadium , great to bring friends and family and have a beautiful time and watch some baseball
We had so much fun with the patio E love. Free food and drinks. Gsme was dope. Go white Sox.
Editing this before first pitch and this is why: was eagerly awaiting to go eat at Lucky's as it was close to our seats the other day, but since we ate at the ChiSox Bar and Grill because of the rain delay and I was full, I planned on eating there tonight. Well, tonight we did not get 100 level tickets so we couldn't even go on the concourse !!!!! WTF? This is my 24th baseball stadium and I've never heard of such stupidity--- I guess you don't want me to spend my money where you have better food choices than crappy $5 hot dogs ( although I got an $8 plus Vienna one.. and it sucked) From a 4 star to a two star review....Also, what if it was our first time at the stadium like two days prior, and we wanted to see all the statues, etc., and get a feel for the stadium but could not??? So, two games here and done . Too bad, great stadium and the BEST fans but GO CUBBIES Second time here in 2 days. The good: *easily accessible by rail *dedicated and diehard fans (one youngest kid, mid 20s? And obviously had been drinking, apparently bumped into my husband, unbeknownst to him, and tracked my husband down about five minutes later to apologize. I mean, who does that? Very impressive.) *beautiful stadium/ great scoreboards with pertinent stats *awesome organist *huge 2 story team store with lots of merch and several life size bobble heads *dedicated first time game booth with certificates and button ( thanks Allie!) * What appears to be a fantastic kid zone, but if you don't have kids under 12, you can't go in. Keeps out the pervs and I respect that * Very friendly and helpful security (Carl at the 100 level) /ushers/employees *lots of statues, history ( mostly on the 100 level) *several restrooms, kept clean with attendants right there *lots of food choices including perogies/ empanadas combos --couldn't get this either :( * Fun fan giveaways ( got my pope hat!) with fantastic lineup . Pregame band and continuous theming all day * the option to pay a fee to guarantee you will get a giveaway if you can't make it to the stadium early Cons: * so we were able to walk in with water bottles, but security at the gate took our plastic bag holding them ; for what purpose I don't know? Wanted to put our giveaways and dirty ice cream helmets in there. *the ice cream was terrible , and I rarely complain about ice cream * Not sure why you don't offer women's Jewelry such as FOCO, BaubleBar, etc. Missing a huge market. Same for Montana West and Dooney purses *once again security not letting fans onto the 100 level on pope night ( 8/11)
Elite MLB experience in the city of Chicago. The stadium is always clean and there are plenty of food and beverage outlets. Not a bad seat in the house
Born in Canaryville & Raised in Bridgeport It's Only Fitting To Be a True Blood SOXside Fan. Old Comiskey Has Givin Me Many Memories And Wanted Management To Rehab Instead Of Rebuild But The Future Must Be Taken Into Account. This Park Is Beautiful And Will No Doubt Continue to Add To My Life As The Years Go By.I Have Never Had A Overall Bad Experience Here And Have Maintained A Winning Streak With The Loss Of Only One(Cubs) My Entire Time Attending. Irish Luck :) I'm Actually A Second Or Third Cousin To Nancy Faust The Famed Organ Player, And As A Youth & Adult Would Begin My Games With A Hello And Hug From The Icon Herself. This Team/Organization/Stadium Has Been Founded On Loyalty,Dedication,Hardwork,Love & Family And Does Not Disappoint To This Day. My Only Complaint Is 7th Inning Cut Off Of Liquor Sales In General Seating And Over Priced General Beer Prices As Well as Merchandise. read more

I am tired of the people who criticize "The Cell". I have loved the new Comiskey since it opened in 1991. The improvementa have made the park even more enjoyable. It is a clean park, that is very accessible with great food. They also make it a great place to go in groups. Tailgating is allowed and they have an awesome picnic/patio area. If you are sitting in the lower deck, don't miss the bullpen sports bar. It gives you a great view of the field and has a lively atmosphere. The concessions are among the most diverse in the country. Awesome churros, corn off the cob, great polish and Italian sausages and probably the first desert concession stand in the country. Don't miss the taffy apples. The only criticism I would have is not allowing upper deck ticket holders access to the lower deck. Is this really going prevent people from running on the field? Maybe security should be more aware. Besides it was something that happened only twice and has happened probably everywhere. Remember Carl Everett getting a cell phone tossed at his head in Oakland? How about Chad Krueter getting his had taken and Randy Meyers challenged to a fight at Wrigley? These seem to be problems from the past and better controlled now. read more

Root root root for the away team. If your idea of watching baseball is being CONSTANTLY subjected to horribly produced and overly dramatic Sox video highlights with either Metallica or a Jerry Bruckheimer movie score dubbed into the mix, catch a game here. Be ready to be subjected to the massive pimping of the jumbotron right next to the massive pimping of ComEd and its GIANT red sign. And you'll probably hear the bunny hop played thrice by a jazz organ between innings--a more offensive sound I cannot recall. Audiovisual atrocities aside, it's still pretty lame. There's nothing special or unique to mitigate the mediocrity. Just plain old C-student, light beer, wonderbread nothingness. It gets 2 stars because the view coming out of the north side of the stadium is awesome and because the Twins won the last game I saw there. read more

The great pastime of baseball can be experienced on the south side of Chicago at "old Comiskey park". You would not be able to find better food at a ball park than here. The selection is endless. High end concession food as far as the eye can see. You will spend a pretty penny to has it as well but it is well worth it. The park is clean. Staff is friendly for the most park. The only thing I'd change is the bathrooms. Especially the woman's. there are not enough stalls. Lines out the door with men standing around waiting for their ladies to come out. Also the bathrooms get a "fair" for cleanliness. read more

This a tough stadium to review. First it is a great stadium. Has everything you need, seating is great, a lot of extra things for the kids to do. But when I go to a ball park I soak in the whole experience. Before, during, and after the game. Yes during the game I did have a good time, however before and after besides the Chisox bar and grill across the street. There is absolutely nothing here to do. I have never seen a stadium the is blatantly isolating itself from the community. Usually when you build a new stadium like this, you will try to improve the surroundings, help the local businesses, include the community. Nothing like this here? So if you just want to go watch a game, this place is for you. But if you want to have a great time before, during, and after the game. Go to Wrigley. read more

I may be a born & raised Cubs fan, but I do enjoy a good game of baseball, especially when it involves a Chicago team. US Cellular Field is very nicely updated. Facilities are new & clean. Staff are helpful & friendly. Bonus: this ballpark serves vegetarian alternatives to your usual ballpark-type food. Last night I enjoyed a vegetarian "hot dog." I have also had a veggie burger at this park. Love that I can join in with friends & have a "dog" at the park. :) Extra bonus: the fireworks for home runs are really fun & nostalgic. read more

I'm a huge baseball fan it's my goal to visit all the baseball parks. Been to around 15 now and I hate to say it but U.S. Cellular Field is the worst park I've been too. Even worst than Athletic's O.co Coliseum. Ticket prices I feel are pretty pricy. It was $75 for standing only. No seat. The stadium just feels old and bland. No color. I hate that even with a ticket, you can't explore the stadium. It's completely segregated. The staff was not very friendly and the food like most baseball stadiums is expensive. I did try the ice cream. Basic soft served, but did feel nice to eat on a warm summer day. I did like the team store, it was 2 stories and had a lot of merchandise. And it wasn't only White Sox stuff, all chicago apparel and merchandise. The staff is the team store were helpful and friendly. Not the most exciting stadium, nothing terribly memorable. Kinda a big bummer. read more

I had a blast at Guaranteed Rate Field! I'm still calling this ballpark, Comiskey Park because that what I grew up to. Anyway, the atmosphere was dynamic, the food, and beer was on point! The best part was the fireworks during and after the game was memorable!! This is one of the best ballparks in Major League Baseball. I will be returning for another game!! read more
This is one of the most fun places in Chicago. We took advantage of the $22 special for ticket and two beers. We love to just walk around the park with drink in hand to soak up the high energy baseball ambiance and people watch. We visited the bullpen bar which is always a nice change of venue within the venue. Once they start winning games again it'll be even better! read more

The White Sox ball park is a really well maintained ball park. the facilities are always clean, they have tons of bathrooms, and a lot of food options. For ballpark food, the food is of better quality and there are more options. Their dogs are some of the best, the nacho helmet is huge and loaded with ingredients. Even the pierogi are of quality and I would know being polish. All the seats seem to have a pretty good view of the field too. read more

I'm a Cubs fan but I still like to make my way over to the Southside to see the Sox play at least once a year. Whether it be buying out two rows of seats and making it an entire family affair, or getting lucky opportunities to score skybox and club level seats! Let's begin with general 100 level seating. I will give credit where credit is due and say I really do love 100 level concourse because they're always switching up the food cart trends. Over the years I've witnessed everything from tacos, elotes, cubano sandwiches, and pan asian. I have to say my favorite foodie year was when they were selling bacon on a stick and fried chicken and waffle sandwiches drizzled with maple syrup! Yum! On hot summer days there is a bar on this level that has air conditioning I like to take shelter in. You can always count on great veteran treats like mini Sundae hats, root beer floats, churros, elephant ears, funnel cake and Clarks on Nuts Chicago style popcorn! One outrageous item they came out with this year was the 16 in brisket & mac and cheese sandwich only available in Stadium Club! One thing is for sure, food at Sox games is always interesting! I've done skybox seating only once in my life and these suites are everything you imagine them to be. Endless food and beverages with a grand finale dessert cart! Lounge seats and enclosed privacy with tv's and air conditioning. Main gate for entry. My most recent visit, I was invited by a crazy Sox fan whose had Club Level seasons tickets every single year since 1983! Wowza well before I was born! On this private concourse a server brings you a menu and you can order in seat. These outdoor seats have cushion/padding. Pretty nice! Service was a little slow. Food was ok. Spicy Chicken sandwich was really good. I ordered the Chicken Margherita Sandwich: A grilled chicken breast with mozzarella and pesto aioli stuffed between a tomato focaccia bun. I glimpsed at the hot dog- looked decent. What's nice about this concourse is the option to sit inside on comfy couches in air conditioning, grab drinks at the Skyline lounge, visit the kids park at the end of the hall, or visit the 3 story Stadium Club restaurant (must have passes for entry). Consession stands were unique and a tad bit fancier than regular concourse. There is a bakery stand called the Sweet Spot that sells Instgram worthy desserts. One of which is the Choco Kabob. It looks like a spinning gyro spit but instead of the gyro it's a huge slab of white and bittersweet chocolate that they shave off into a thin crepe! Too bad this was closed when I visited! It's also nice not having to wait in long lines on this private concourse. Best of all there is ample opportunity to catch a lefty batter's foul balls! The seasons ticket holder I was with said he's caught at least 40 throughout the years! Super cool! Gate 5 for entry. I've had two negative experiences by really inebriated fans here but I won't rain on this parade. Parking is so cheap its only $20. I'm so used to paying an arm and a leg at Wrigley Field. Music and fireworks are always fun and sometimes I like to show up in my Cubs gear just to spite lol! Great stadium and good times! read more

I love taking my kids to see the White Sox here. Coming from the NW burbs, it's an easy drive unless it's rush hour. The food is fabulous. My personal favorite at the park would be the Elotes(corn off the cob). They have an enormous craft beer selection and so many fun activities for kids. A lot of people say that you should stay away from the upper deck but the upper deck behind home plate is a great view and is usually inexpensive. read more

This is actually a pretty nice park. As a Cubs and Royals fan, it is somewhat painful to say that, but I will repeat it - this is a pretty nice park. OK, so the neighborhood isn't great. OK, so the fans are a little rough around the edges...I mean, they are no Cubs fan ;) OK, so the team has more ups and downs than a 20-mile long roller coaster. OK, so the scoreboard and video boards are of rather poor quality and are smaller than my TV at home. "Besides that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?" It has a lot of good food options at typical stadium + Chicago prices. Tons of vendors going up and down the stairs if your fat ass is too lazy to get up. The bathrooms are some of the cleaner ones around MLB stadiums, but they are not huge and lines can get long. Parking is, of course, expensive...take public transport if at all possible. There is a nice kids area to keep the little ones busy, but I think you need 100-level tickets to get in there...maybe I am wrong? This place doesn't have the history of Wrigley, nor the scenery, but it's a fine place for a game. read more

Came and watched the Detroit Tigers vs Chicago White Sox on Saturday October 3rd. Nice baseball stadium with a good view of the Chicago skyline. Both teams were already out of the playoff race, so no drama on the field. Was in town for the Raiders vs Bears game. So we decided to check out a ball game at US Cellular. Myself and few other friends tried to find another bar besides the corporate bar and grill across the street. I gave up but my buddies walked to one about a mile down the road. They liked it, so there is other options. From what I understand this was the first cold evening of the year, and once that wind kicked up, it was FREEZING!!!!! Nice stadium though. read more

We were visiting from San Francisco and wanted to see a White Sox game. We took the red line from downtown and it was an easy 20-min ride. Stadium is large and clean. Purchased seats right behind home plate and the view was amazing. Great beer selection and the weather was amazing. Highly enjoyable experience. read more
