The White Sox fans are hard core so be prepared to be booed if you come in anything but White Sox attire. Good food and had a great time!
Its been ages since I've last visited the White Sox stadium, now Rate Field. There have been a number of upgrades over the years and the improvements are all for the better. For one, food and drink have stepped up a lot. My cousin and I came to see the White Sox destroy the Oakland A's 14-1. A lopsided win for sure but a win nonetheless. A third of the time we walked the grounds, drank, people watched and checked out the shops. We walked past one of the lots, can't remember if it was lot G, but plenty of folks were there spending the entire day tailgating. It's pretty common and if you are able to land a spot in the lot, it's probably one of the best things you can do. We drove in but parked at the ITT lot because all the nearby lots close to 35th street dogs required prepaid coupon. The walk from ITT isin't that bad. It's like 5 minutes. We came on a clear night where they had the fireworks show post-game. I had a nice time and visiting Rate Field to watch the Sox play is one for the summer bucket list in Chicago.
Recently came to a baseball game and had a great time. Affordable tickets with great views and it was very clean. We had a great experience!
Gotta love it when the LA Dodgers take over Chicago! I went to the game on June 13th, 2026 and saw the Dodgers dominate the Sox as always. 2025 MLB World Series MVP, Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a perfect game through 7 innings. Then, Mookie Betts had an error at shortstop, and then a guy on the Sox hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th to ruin the shut out. Dodgers win 7-1. I liked walking around the park as this park might have the most statues of any park I've ever been to. I got my picture with Mark Buehrle, Charles Comiskey, and plenty of other White Sox legends. The concourses definitely feel a little tight and old. I don't know what the latest updates are on the Sox getting a new stadium, but this stadium isn't as bad as the Internet makes it out to be. Easy to get here on the train. Getting an uber to leave the game is a nightmare.
Absolutely loved my experience at Rate Field. I was excited to try new food choices, which we definitely did, and to see improvements since the last time I was there. We sat in the 300 level seats, so it was an option to order to your seat, which was very nice. The seats were excellent views of the field and scoreboard. Foods we tried: Polish Sausage- wow with the onions, yeah great Bulgogi Egg Rolls- just don't overthink it and order them, unbelievable Cookie Dough- ugh, not my thing, cold maybe would be better Sushi- great, cute, even comes with a vile of soy sauce Korean Dog- I did not try, but the friends said it was really good Nachos- GREAT, you can get them with the helmet Parking in the B lot was a breeze and you can tailgate, getting out, still a ton faster than Dodger Stadium!
First time at a Sox game and we had a blast! Sox vs Royals, we didn't secure the win and those Royals fans came out deep and proud! We all had a great time at the game! The weather was great, hot and humid lol we sat in section 152 which was perfect! Shaded area and close to all the great eats! We had some veggie pierogis, veggie hot dogs, nachos, beer and that s'mores milkshake! Omg! I was on a hunt for the milkshake and it didn't disappoint! All the food was amazing! It was easy to get to the game, very minimal traffic, parking was easy to find and a very short walk to the ballpark. It's a great ballpark, nice, clean and organized. Easy to navigate through and the concession folks were nice.
Rate Field was wonderful. RF is a baseball park the way they should be. Access was drop dead easy with the CTA. I arrived without a ticket 10-minutes before a game and was able to catch "Thunderstruck" as the game was beginning. I found the staff members very friendly and affable. Finding our seats was easy and even though we sat in the 500s our view was good. Bathrooms are ridiculously clean for a ballpark. There is easy water refilling stations throughout the concourse which made our visit on a hot day easy. The food options are tremendous as well. I can see why RF has a great reputation for food. The actual field and board are also great. I am really happy I visited with my kid. I only wish I could visit more.
Great Sunday day game experience--excellent gluten-free options and Hello Kitty fun! We visited Rate Field for a Sunday day game to catch the Sox and grab the Hello Kitty package. Overall, it was a fantastic first experience! A huge tip for anyone going to a weekend game: pre-pay for your parking. It completely sold out, so we were incredibly glad we bought ours in advance. We parked in Lot C, and it was a surprisingly short, easy walk straight to the stadium. As someone looking for gluten-free (GF) options, I really appreciated that they have a QR code you can scan for a list of concessions to see exactly what can be made GF. The only downside is that while they do offer gluten-free fries, they are only available up in the 300 section. We were seated in the 100 section, but we still had great options. We were able to get a GF hot dog and a GF pizza. The pizza is a personal-sized whole pizza that takes about 5-7 minutes to bake. I loved that they actively try to avoid cross-contamination by placing the pizza on foil. If you just need a quick snack, they also have a convenient grab-and-go section with drinks, chips, and peanuts (which are explicitly listed as GF). It was a wonderful first visit, and we will definitely be back for another game!
Good stadium. The team is trying to turn it around so better fans in the crowd. Much better young talent on the field. Fun place to be. Food was good. Ice cream was standard. Mascot photo in the kids clubhouse in the 5th inning. But you can't enter unless you have a kid!
Great Stadium , great to bring friends and family and have a beautiful time and watch some baseball
We had so much fun with the patio E love. Free food and drinks. Gsme was dope. Go white Sox.
Editing this before first pitch and this is why: was eagerly awaiting to go eat at Lucky's as it was close to our seats the other day, but since we ate at the ChiSox Bar and Grill because of the rain delay and I was full, I planned on eating there tonight. Well, tonight we did not get 100 level tickets so we couldn't even go on the concourse !!!!! WTF? This is my 24th baseball stadium and I've never heard of such stupidity--- I guess you don't want me to spend my money where you have better food choices than crappy $5 hot dogs ( although I got an $8 plus Vienna one.. and it sucked) From a 4 star to a two star review....Also, what if it was our first time at the stadium like two days prior, and we wanted to see all the statues, etc., and get a feel for the stadium but could not??? So, two games here and done . Too bad, great stadium and the BEST fans but GO CUBBIES Second time here in 2 days. The good: *easily accessible by rail *dedicated and diehard fans (one youngest kid, mid 20s? And obviously had been drinking, apparently bumped into my husband, unbeknownst to him, and tracked my husband down about five minutes later to apologize. I mean, who does that? Very impressive.) *beautiful stadium/ great scoreboards with pertinent stats *awesome organist *huge 2 story team store with lots of merch and several life size bobble heads *dedicated first time game booth with certificates and button ( thanks Allie!) * What appears to be a fantastic kid zone, but if you don't have kids under 12, you can't go in. Keeps out the pervs and I respect that * Very friendly and helpful security (Carl at the 100 level) /ushers/employees *lots of statues, history ( mostly on the 100 level) *several restrooms, kept clean with attendants right there *lots of food choices including perogies/ empanadas combos --couldn't get this either :( * Fun fan giveaways ( got my pope hat!) with fantastic lineup . Pregame band and continuous theming all day * the option to pay a fee to guarantee you will get a giveaway if you can't make it to the stadium early Cons: * so we were able to walk in with water bottles, but security at the gate took our plastic bag holding them ; for what purpose I don't know? Wanted to put our giveaways and dirty ice cream helmets in there. *the ice cream was terrible , and I rarely complain about ice cream * Not sure why you don't offer women's Jewelry such as FOCO, BaubleBar, etc. Missing a huge market. Same for Montana West and Dooney purses *once again security not letting fans onto the 100 level on pope night ( 8/11)
Elite MLB experience in the city of Chicago. The stadium is always clean and there are plenty of food and beverage outlets. Not a bad seat in the house
Here's the thing about Guaranteed Rate Field... from the perspective of someone who's traveled to 13 of the 30 different active ballparks right now, there's very little about GRF that makes it memorable or discernible from any other ballpark besides maybe the colorful scoreboard. There's a decent selection of food and drink concessions inside, and I've enjoyed various seating angles of the ballpark - from being invited into the Stadium Club for a game to sitting in the front row beside the visitor dugout. Besides the Stadium Club being colder than expected (I'm glad I brought a light hoodie), that seating area was quite enjoyable for the game... and the views in various areas of the ballpark are generally pretty open, which is nice. Would I pay for the experience of sitting up there though? Nah. The real positive for me with this ballpark was the ease of getting there via subway from Downtown Chicago. A couple quick stops on the red line and you're able to easily hop off the CTA and you're just a short walk to the ballpark. Even from the outside though, there's not much to SEE when it comes to GRF. There's nothing that seems super enticing or like it would draw someone in. In a lot of ways, the ballpark just seems to lack personality. The fans themselves (the ones that there are, anyway) seem to be pretty dedicated... but the ballpark feels eerily empty by comparison to many others I've visited. I had great seats for both games I attended here, like I said, but in general? I think it's pretty easy to move around (for example, if you wanted to find shade during a day game). TL;DR Various promotions aside (got a free t-shirt from the Thursday game I attended, and they have fireworks on many Saturday home games, etc), there's just not a lot going on at GRF. Glad I went and enjoyed my time there (because there are so few people, it's a bit more enjoyable to walk around... less people to weave through), but it's not like I'm pining to go back. read more

Love this ballpark , love the team. Best food & drinks out of any stadium in Illinois. Staff is friendly, polite, and very welcoming. Organization goes out of the way for the families. Fans are world class. Visiting Chicago? Skip going to that archaic place on the north side, and come to a real ballpark. White Sox Forever. read more
We had ordered club seats a couple of weeks ago. On the way in, as the White Sox aren't doing that well, there were scalpers selling seats behind home plate for $10-$20. Lesson learned that when a team isn't doing well to come and take the chance. Opened in 1991, the park was ok. The club was somewhat weak for food offerings and I didn't feel like venturing out of the club for food - looking back i wouldn't pay extra to sit in there as the other seats were fine and the club really didn't seem worth the premium I paid. Another ballpark checked off the list. read more
Came here to check out the ballpark on Re-opening night (first time at 100% capacity) and it was nuts! Probably the most crowded stadium I've been to all week! More crowded than wrigley for sure. They keep the guests who have tickets in the 100 level only on the 100 level. No walking in between the levels. There was not enough beer stands to serve the hundreds of people because we waiting in line at a market stand for like 15 minutes to get a couple of beers. The lines to the bathrooms were insane as well. Overall, a very simple ballpark. Nothing crazy or special about it. There is a kids club that I didn't get to see. You can bring one bottle of sealed water into the stadium. There's plenty of people selling water outside the stadium for a $1. read more
I really like that you can tailgate here. I also like the food options inside like elotes, churros and revolution brewing for local craft beer? Plus Tickets prices here are cheaper than the north side. In addition, a home run by the Sox is followed by fireworks- what more can you ask for? So why 4 stars- well that's because Wrigley is only across town and that ball park plus the surrounding neighborhood around it just has TONS of character. read more

One of the better ballparks in the league. Great food, great fans, easy parking and an enjoyable place to watch baseball. read more
GUARANTEED SEATS Same old stadium, new sh*tty name. True, the food is baller: 16oz grilled cheeses, footlong Chicago style hot dogs, pan Asian noodles at the 'Wok Off' booth (hilarious), and let's not forget the spectacular "elotes" dish which is technically "esquites" (corn with butter, mayo, lime, salt & pepper, chili powder). True, the beer selection has improved tenfold in recent years. Sox park now has bottles and taps for Bell's, Three Floyds, Goose Island, Two Brothers and Revolution, along with cans from Half Acre, Windy City brewing, and many others. True also, is that this ballpark sees renovations and improvements on an annual basis to always make it more fun and family friendly. New promotional giveaways, new themed fireworks shows, new special interest group nights. There's something for everyone. Following the dismal 2016 year (thanks for all the losing seasons Ventura, you schmuck), naming rights were up for grabs and the highest bidder was Illinois based mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate. That's an unfortunate moniker itself, but what made matters worse is the giant new logo seen by anyone driving along I-90/94: .......a big, fat, RED arrow pointing straight. down. Talk about demoralizing. That's super embarrassing and impossible not to associate the symbol with the direction the stadium and franchise is headed. Since 2008, things have gradually slid downhill, having gone from good, to not-so-great, to 'meh', to its current status, which is bordering on laughable. The attitude of gross indifference is palpable, from the lethargy of the concessions workers to the "traffic attendants". Parking is still $20 (although now you can pay with a charge card, thankfully), domestic beer is still $10, and the neighborhood ain't great. Perhaps the most glaringly obvious nugget of truth is that NO ONE shows up to games unless the promo freebie is a youth XL jersey, bobblehead, or other kitschy Sox item. Paid attendance on their first win of the year? 10,842 people. Sweet christ, that figure alone is how many people are waiting in line to piss in steel troughs at Wrigley. I jest, but the reality is that you can buy a ticket in section _X_ and then sit wherever you damn well please. As the season wears on, the level of apathy skyrockets....by mid-September, you can purchase an upper level ticket and wind up sitting behind the dugout. Why? Because no one cares. The experience varies widely depending on the weather, day of week, opponent, and time of year. Some days are blissful, others are pure misery (refer to opening day 2017 or the twin "ice out" games in early April 2016). Opening weekend games on 4/8/17 and 4/9/17 were actually very pleasant. *TL;DR* "Familiarity breeds contempt" best describes how I feel about my hometown park. I've attended more than 200 games (20+ games/year for the past decade) at Comiskular Field and while I usually enjoy my time here, every so often I want to choke the f*ck out of those bastards at guest services for jipping me on a highly sought-after free hat/T-shirt/alarm clock. read more

Some call it the GSpot, others Sox Park. I still call it Comiskey. It's a great place to watch baseball, but a horrible (original) design for a ballpark. The WhiteSox have made some improvements, unfortunately nothing can fix flawed design concepts of the 80's/90's. Sadly, Reinsdorf still owns the team. Until that changes, the Sox are stuck playing in this dump. Why 4 stars? Cause I witnessed a World Series from here, cheered and cried for some of the greatest in this stadium. I just wish the original Comiskey would have been preserved, or Reinsdorf at the time would have taken the land that is now touted as The 78. Oh well. Till I win the Megamillions or powerball and can buy the team, we are stuck here. read more

White Sox stadium really does provide great options for food! The stadium is clean and staff are helpful. Pro tip: kids get to run the bases after the game. read more
I love this place!! This was the second annual trip to the White Sox Elvis night! Just to be clear ELVIS is NOT dead because there are literally a thousand Elvis's running around that stadium! We rented a bus and tailgated with Elvis of course... The tailgating lot is a blast! Everyone is there to have a few beers and hang out. Just then you look up in the sky and there are 3 ELVIS skydivers jumping into Cellular Field. Oh let the fun begin!! We always get bleacher seats and let me tell ya the fun happens behind the seats!! You do not need to spend a ton here because you can see the field from anywhere. The food is what Chicago is known for... The sausage, the pizza, the assortment of beer, and plenty of liquor to be enjoyed! We did enjoy ourselves! The fans are great! I was wearing the "other team" jersey and made more sox friends that night! Love the merchandise at the stadium. Yes, I now own 2 sox shirts... When the game finishes... The lights go down and yes the skydiving Elvis are returning to the field AT NIGHT! Very cool to see!! Then Elvis enters the field in his mint Cadillac and sings 4 or 5 of his songs. The crowd goes WILD! All this to be followed up by some awesome fireworks! I cannot wait for next year!! Just remember the saying... Good guys wear black!!! Go Sox!! read more
4/5 stars for the guided tour of Guaranteed Rate Field. Tour took us into the nooks and crannies of the ballpark; press box, suites, dugout, dining areas and more. I'd recommend this tour to any baseball/White Sox fan. Even if your aren't a baseball enthusiast, I think you'll really find this tour interesting. The ballpark itself if beautiful-maybe one day I'll get the opportunity to watch a game here. read more
I have attended a couple of Sox games here, and I love the stadium. There are plenty of interesting statues and the like, so even just walking around before the first pitch is cool. With a slew of theme nights and promotions to be enjoyed, I'd say this is a swing and a hit as far as ballparks are concerned. Plus, its close proximity to the Red Line is handy as can be. Go Sox! read more
Very nice modern stadium. Family friendly with tons of things to see and a great kids zone. Music band playing right outside of the ballpark. Getting through security was pretty quick, we were there early so it was pretty much empty. We were able to catch batting practice and walk around the awesome ballpark. Because of the cheap seating prices, we had great seats - but honestly every seat had a great view. They have a variety of great food options and a pretty amazing beer selection. Excellent experience. read more

Clean and modern stadium with easy access to the Red Line. Fans are relatively tame, easy going, and easy to talk to. We've been to two games in the last two weeks. Both times have been a good time! And free T-shirt Thursdays is where its at! The first game we had seats in the 100s on the lower level on the first base side. Nice views and close enough to see players. The second game my girl scored some free tickets up in the bleeders. Section 516 to be exact. Surprising not a bad view either as we were closer to the bottom of the section. On the plus side of being in the upper section, we did notice that food was $0.50 cheaper than the lower section which was a plus. Both games on Thursday nights were relatively empty, and I feel like you could probably just buy the cheapest tickets and then slowly seat hop your way down closer as you please. My only gripe about this stadium is the scoreboard consistently changes and doesn't always display the score. Other than that excellent venue to watch a baseball game! Make sure bundle up and bring blankets/jackets for the evening games. There always seems to be a nice cool breeze going through the stadium which doesn't feel cold initially, but when sitting there over time it will get ya. 'Til next time, cheers! read more
The South Siders don't get the same love as the Cubbies, but that's ok. Don't expect Wrigleyville, but there are a number of decent options for the Sox fan. There's a bar off Gate 5 with plenty of TVs, food, and drink for pre-game festivities. If you want a pre-game dog, hit up 35th Street Red Hots a short walk just past the viaduct. Awesome deal for a hot dog with fries. The White Sox lobby hard for your attendance with plenty of giveaways and themed games. Star Wars night, Halfway to St. Patricks, free T-Shirt Mondays, and such go a long way to mix things up and attract a decent crowd. In terms of seating, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. You can buy tickets as cheap as $20 in the 500 level and still have a decent view, but I suggest checking out the Bleachers if you want to try and grab a home run ball. Food options are varied and tasty. Bacon on a stick, Irish nachos, and a Tex-Mex helmet are some of my favorites and the latter can definitely be shared with a few people! Show some love for these oft neglected White Sox and go a game or two. read more

Once upon a time... This was a first of the next generation of ballparks. Getting away from the cookie cutter stadiums that were scattered around the country. Seats are pretty easy to grab these days. Especially during those getaway games during the summer months. Purchased a couple of tickets behind the home plate area upper level as always. It has finger prints of the old Comiskey Park, such as the scoreboard in centerfield that sets off fireworks whenever the home team scores a run. Plus I heard that they have an old shower head from the old stadium. Just a way of cooling off on a hot summer day. Sitting in the top tier the seats can be a little steep. Pretty cool how they integrated the history of the White Sox , Chicago & USA in photos in black & white plus color going back to the 1940's. Prices are very reasonable for a few cold beers at $9/10 a pop depending on the size. Food that I sampled was just a ok. This is the first ballpark that I can remember going to that has those bronze statues of the old legendary Sox players. They are situated in the concourse around the centerfield area. Easy access by CTA red line - station Sox & 35th. read more

Great ballpark, it's laid out well, prices are reasonable you can bring your family without breaking the bank, the promotions and the fireworks are a good time. Over the years, they've upped their food game, you'll find many choices from the traditional brats and pizza, to the new Cuban sandwiches. You'll also find a Revolution brewery spot if you want some other choices from the Bud light and Modelo being pushed in the stands. The pace is a little slower, the fans not as crunched in are nicer, they also are into baseball. I've done my share of Cubs games abuse, yeah, I guess I'm a party pooper, I've had enough beer spilled on me to last a lifetime, and the prices, and waits in line, no thanks. I know the argument here will be that they're competitive, yep that's great, but that wasn't always the story and the pricing abuse has always been the story. I think they're doing great things up north and can see why the draw to catch a game there attracts more than baseball fans. It's a historic park and a party. Party on as they say, for me, I'll stay on the south side. I'll enjoy being able to watch the game, no spills, no drama. read more
Beautiful park to catch a game. Start with access, the field is right off the highway and has a huge lot to park in once you exit. Being in Chicago, I value this easy access. Stress free and easy! Food is good, they have several nice choices that you can try. Really was impressed with the variety they offered. The stadium looks in great condition, I think this field is a about 20 years or so old, but looks great at every turn. I sat in the cheap seats and they are still a pretty good view. Walked around on the main concourse, that was a lot of fun and would try to get a ticket their next time. I would love to go back to catch a Cleveland game since they are in the central, really enjoyed the game I caught here. read more

Weekends in the Windy City should always be spent with baseball and hotdogs. --It's a beautiful marriage. Yes, the hotdogs are expensive for animal parts and nitrates, but you'll never find a better hotdog than one at a ballpark. Been going to Sox games my whole life! Best memories!! I love this place! I can't help but be partial to the sox since I met Tony La Russa (sox manager at the time) at a signing and he told my mom that I was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. :) been a fan ever since. :P read more

Buy a score card and bring a pencil, US Cellular Field is a good place to see a ballgame. I'd like to start out by noting when I walked up to the box office there were photos lined up along the wall leading away noting the day's starting lineup. I've never seen that before and I thought that was a nice touch. Now the venue... I had my reservations walking in, mainly because when you enter through the gates you're not really in the stadium, you're just outside the stadium, but inside the gates. Anyway, after walking around for a bit, my visiting self realized that you needed to walk up the ramps to get to where you were going. Once that was out of the way, everything was gravy. (Note: they do check your tickets so if you have upper level tickets they won't let you in the lower level part of the stadium.) The stadium itself is enclosed, but you are able to walk 360 degrees around the whole stadium if you wish. Truthfully, at least from the lower level where I was, there really isn't a bad view in the house. The stands offer a gentle slope and easy view of the field. While walking around before the game, I noticed the outfield offered a couple of nice photo opportunities. The first is the statue collections of White Sox hall of famers. The Sox have a proud history and they're not bashful about letting you know about their glory days. The second is a spot in straight centerfield behind some of the statues that provides a beautiful view of the whole field. I'm not sure if they allow you back there during the game because of the hitter's background, but it's a good place to before the game while people are still filing in and the grounds crew is putting their finishing touches on the field. Last, but not least is an old shower from the old Comiskey Park. I didn't take the chance to test it out, but it looks like it still works and might be a nice place to cool off during those Chicago hot summer days (and evenings.) Next... the food, and oh my, there's food. There are your normal ball park options like hot dogs, burgers and even a Chicago Italian beef sandwich, but there are also dishes like the ultra delicious nachos served in a helmet (it's a healthy sized meal, please take my word for it,) sushi and pot stickers, ice cream and vegetarian dishes, if that's your bag. There honestly is something for everybody and even though it's priced like ball park food the prices won't gouge your wallet. If you're into delicious beer, there's a sports bar in right field that allows you to choose from your favorite craft beers. If you're visiting Chicago like I was, transportation to the stadium is nice and easy. Just take the Red Line south the Comiskey stop. You'll see the stadium when you leave the station because it's only two or three blocks away. If you decide you want to drive it looks like there is plenty of space in some lots next to the stadium. read more
Take the train to save on parking (exit on Sox 35th)! My husband and I came for a game here on a Thursday (every Thursday during the season is free t-shirt giveaway) evening, Chicago White Sox vs Boston Red Sox. We like to check out a sporting event whenever we go on vacation. Anyways, we sat in section 137, row 22, seats 1 & 2. The view was fantastic and unfortunately there were a handful of fly balls that was coming in our direction (yes "unfortunately".... I freak out and scream whenever a fly ball comes towards me and duck my head... not that ducking my head will actually protect me, but it's just a natural reaction). But it was pretty cold before 7:10 pm (game time) when we arrived, and just got colder as the night wore on. Being born and raised in Southern California where the coldest is upper 50's (for the most part, but of course there are some early mornings where it may dip in the upper 30's and low 40's), my husband wanted to go after the 2nd inning, lol (I was trying to wait it out). Apparently a lot of the Chicagoans left early (not sure if it was because it was cold or because that's just the common thing for baseball...), so we eventually left after the 5th inning (the earliest I have ever left a baseball game before). There was plenty of employees walking up and down selling food items (your usual fare that included beer, hot dogs, ice cream...why would you eat ice cream when it is freezing cold?.... churros, popcorn, peanuts, etc). There was also plenty of food choices at the cession stand. But I honestly think there are better food choices at other stadiums that we have been to. But I did see a few people with elotes in a little paper tray that looked really good. There is free WiFi here in case you want to post photos of yourself on Instagram and Facebook (and of course on your favorite media connection, Yelp). The women's restroom was okay... but would have been nice to be a little bit cleaner (but this is a public restroom, so what can you expect?). I would come back here to catch again (but would prefer to go when it's warmer... well warmer for a So. Cal resident's standards). By the way, guests are welcomed to bring outside food in, as long as it is in a plastic bag. Guests can also bring in one sealed- unopened plastic water bottle. And lastly, guests can only bring in a soft sided bag, no larger than 16" x 16" x 8. However, I saw several women come with a large bag (a few LV Neverfull size bags for example for reference), so not too sure how strict they are on the size requirement. If you do bring in a bag/ backpack, it will searched. read more
This place just keeps getting better every year. Come for the baseball from an exciting, young, never fear/never say die team...and stay for the dizzying array of food and drink options and if you're lucky, one of their fireworks filled evenings! Accessibility and parking is still a breeze. The New Revolution Brew Club and the renovated Bullpen Sports Bar are great ways to cool down during the hot summer games. And while it's great to see things like gourmet burgers, capreese sandwiches, Nashville Hot chicken and elotes...the smell of grilled Vienna all-beef hot dogs (or polish) slathered with grilled onions wafts through the park upon entry and compels me like no other ballpark I've ever been to! It's pretty much my second stop once I have a craft beer in hand. Go Sox! read more

I came here to check out the ballpark and walk around and see what they have to offer. I like how they have the red line stop right here, so it's a short walk into the stadium. The park itself is pretty basic, I didn't really see anything that was different about the park. I hope they can add more things to attract people to come to the ballpark and check out! read more

For a stadium that was built before the retro era, it is not bad. Good site lines... Ample space on the concourses... Plenty of food/drink variety... The stairs leading to/from the kids area is tight for space. Good idea with batting cages and a pitching simulation activity... The entrance/procession into the stadium is unique not in a good way. Wish the design was thought out better. read more
This review is only for the stadium and has nothing to do with the quality of the baseball team that plays here. Guaranteed Rate Field is a nice place to watch a baseball game. While it was built in the 1990's, it feels modern and spacious. Tickets are pretty affordable and the seats are comfortable. It holds over 40,000 people, but I have never been there when it was even close to capacity. In terms of food options, this place has it going on. They have a ton of concession stands and offer anything but typical ballpark food. There are tons of options from hot dogs and burgers to pizza and Mexican food. There are dozens of Beggar's Pizza locations which serve delicious Southside slices. They even have innovative junk food like fried mac and cheese bites or Irish Nachos (waffle fries with nacho toppings). Prices are pretty low by MLB standards. There is a huge kids are that lets little ones compete in a variety of baseball drills. There are batting cages, base running drills, fielding exercises and other ways to keep kids engaged while watching the Sox play. They give a bunch of freebies away to the little ones in the hopes of developing a younger fan base. This is far from my first choice to catch a ballgame in Chicago, but I have to admit that we had a good experience here during the 2018 season. read more
I went to see the Minnesota Twins beat the local MLB team CWS. The train ride to the stadium was easy. I drove my car to the hotel in the loop and parked. I Walked a couple blocks to the train stop at Grand Ave. bought 2 one-way tickets. Walked around to gate 5. I had my tickets on my phone. Scanned it, i was in. Found my section, my friends and we had a fantastic day at the ballpark. Twins win 10-3. Good day, good stuff. All good. read more
