Even got to chatting with the owner for some time, very nice guy! Places like this are a rarity nowadays in the disposable world of convenient streaming, but I love being able to peruse the aisles. Streaming titles come and go, and it can't recreate the feeling of owning something and using it over and over again. I've had a blast selling off my old baseball cards (my kids don't want them) locally and on-line, A few months ago we also sold off our stamp and coin collection, except for some commemorative Canadian coins minted for the 1988 Calgary Olympics. I contacted KC's Gold, as well as a coin dealer in Toronto to gauge their interest in those Olympic coins. Fred from KC responded right away but his Canadian counterpart never responded after two e-mails. How un-Canadian of him!! Anyway, I visited Fred today to accept his very fair offer. The store is awesome, with baseball cards, coins and vinyl LPs everywhere. Fred was one of the very nicest shop owners I've ever met. He was a real pleasure to work with.
