There were at least a few other quality items here, far more than at any other store. Of course, thrifting is always about the luck of the day, and who knows what they'll have when you stop in? We overheard (couldn't help it, since people were basically shouting) everyone's personal business, which was obnoxious. I also was very uncomfortable with how close people came to me while I browsed, and it wasn't even crowded! During this pandemic, the typical rule is 6 feet of distance, but I felt lucky when people were more than 6 inches away. This place takes your items, has you sign them over, and then sends a receipt telling the consigner what the item will be listed for and potential payout. My instinct was to take my items back as that made no sense to me, and I take responsibility for not taking my things and leaving. To find out that, as per their website, the new unworn and unused items worth hundreds retail would garner an average of $9.00 per piece was stunning. I would much prefer to donate to someone who could really use the item rather than get less than $10.00 for a dress that retails for $150 and was never worn. Lesson learned. I'm selling online from now on.
